Salsa verde means green sauce, and this was definitely not a green sauce--it was red. They do use tomatillos, which may be why they consider it "verde," but that's not what I would expect when ordering carnitas en salsa verde or chile verde. I was specifically expecting the traditional green chile-based sauce. Overall, neither dish was what I expected, and unfortunately, I wouldn't order either one again.
