Not sure where the poor reviews have come from but our experience has been 100% the opposite. Everyone we interacted with (Josey, Danny, Alvin, Josey's sister) was professional, friendly and attentive. We visited 3 times over the course of a 5 day visit, tried different beers and food items. Even the other patrons were extremely friendly! Highly recommend a visit if you need a place to go. Looked family friendly and was steady in business. No complaints here! We placed our first order today and we are so excited to find our new pizza place! We ordered "to go" and it was ready exactly on time. The woman who handed us our order was thoughtful enough to keep our salad separate from the hot food, which I really appreciated. We hadn't eaten here before but I can promise that we'll be back again! Our order consisted of a small, thin crust extra cheese pizza, an order of spaghetti and meatballs, a side Caesar salad and a small "Farmer's Daughter" pizza! It is extremely rare that I give a one star rating, but after spending almost $100 at this establishment for takeout for my family it is a hard pass. Our portions were small and silly. We were missing items in our order and the plating/portions were ridiculous. Calzones are basically dough. More than $30 on two calzones that had a small amount of toppings in the very center and the rest was dough. One also had a stick out of it. I'll assume it is premade and grabbed in the kitchen to go. We were missing a drink in a kids meal and the side of broccoli and cheese was literally ONE piece of broccoli haha. We ordered a side of veggies and as pictured the saddest vegetables I have ever seen for almost $4. We sat at the bar and enjoyed happy hour prices. There is a decent selection of craft beers if you are willing to drink cans. Fellow bar patrons were friendly and the place filled up by 6:00. Went to lunch with my father and wife, i ordered a calzone. My dad ordered the chicken alfredo, made sure to explain how he didnt want something in it. Wife orded the trio type deal, well it all took about 45 mins- 1 hour to come out, and my calzone was about 10 minutes behind theirs. First cut into my calzone, i hit multiple strands of hair! Disappointed. The food and cleanliness can use some improvements. We ordered 2 pizzas and a salad, the pizzas were fine but the salad came out wilted and the avocado that came with it was 3/4 brown. I requested a new avocado and when the server brought it out was turned over to show the green side and when I cut it, it was completely brown as well. Needless to say I didn't eat the avocado. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands before eating and felt dirtier when I walked out of the bathroom. The trash was overflowing, urine on the wall and floor under the urinal, dirty mirrors and just a smell as if it hasn't been cleaned in a while. Please explain to me why I had a horrible experience there on Feb 19th between 6:30 pm and- 9pm. We came to your restaurant for my 7 year olds birthday as a party of 7. We order fountain drinks that we received at 6:40 and never received refills for the remainder of the time spent there. We finally got our orders in and when the food came out 2 orders were wrong and the BIRTHDAY CHILDS food was not there. The wrong food was taken back. We waited an additional 15/20 min for a remake, the remade food came out big still no food for my son. By 8:25 my son THE BIRTHDAY boy finally received his KIDS PIZZA. 2 hours later, the waitress claimed the pizza was "wrong" and she "had them remake it" No napkins were given throughout our experience, food was wrong, my son waited 2 hours for his kids pizza, we had no refills our entire experience and silverware was dirty. In the midst of this we are communicating with the server and she's clearly annoyed although she was the one who was messing up. She wasn't responding to us telling her our issues instead just walking off with an attitude. The last straw was when it came to pay and leave. We asked about military discount and showed our ids. The waitress leaves. And comes back stating the manager wants all our ideas. Legally we can not hand over our MILITARY CAC for security purposes, I explained that to her. And with an attitude she handed everyone's ids back, we asked for the manager to come to the table to see our ideas and talk about our experience. She walked away. When she came back we asked why the manager still hasn't came .. her response was "I took care of it" We clearly asked for the manager 3 times at this point. He refused to come to our table and, he wouldn't even look at our table let alone walk anywhere nearby although he knew we had issues. This was completely unfortunate and unacceptable, I love Old Chicago, and the food is always good and the service has usually always been well but tonight was unacceptable! My husbands sandwich was wrong and they took it and replaced it with another, but he said something tasted off so he didn't eat it. My food did not taste right either. It was disappointing because we tried this place out because of the name, however they do not serve Chicago-Style pizza. Despite the food, the service was great! The food took a while to come out, and was underwhelming. We ordered "create your own" pizzas but they were not very flavorful, which I attribute to the lack of seasoning in the crust. We ordered cocktails ( Strawberry Basil Lemonade and Sangria Margarita) but they did not have a good balance of liquor and juice.
