This spot was okay. Our waitress was really helpful. She was honest about one of their seasonal foods that wasn't doing to great and also gave the best recommendations for a dark beer for my father-in-law. It's definitely more of a casual, bar ambiance (hence the name). I think my favorite was the pepperoni rolls as an appetizer. I got the Pesto Chicken Alfredo. It was good, but personally thought it could have used more pesto. I wasn't a fan of the chicken they put in it. It was like chicken from a can. I stopped here with a couple of friends on the way home from a road trip. Nice big open floor restaurant. Reminds me a bit of a sports bar. The bar sits in the middle of the floor. This place has plenty of seating. I wanted a salad badly and they delivered. It was nice and fresh. It even had cucumbers. A lot of places don't give you cucumbers anymore. We also ordered pizza. For some reason, I do not have pictures of the food. I can tell you that I darn near swallowed a slice pretty quick, y so that should tell you it was delicious. The service was very good too. Yesterday I visited this restaurant with my cousins. The waitress was decent, but the overall service just wasn't it. We waited like 30-45 minutes to get the food. The waitress said they skipped her (our tickets) in the kitchen, still don't understand that ‍ When I finally got my food, my chicken was completely burnt on the bottom ( orginally I ordered chicken sandwich and fries) so she called the manager to our table. I asked for a new item (taco pizza) and waited an additional 10-20 minutes for my food. It was much better. We ordered dessert and paid. Next thing we know, everyone was gone but us. Our waitress was no where to be found. She finally comes out and said ohh sorry I forgot yall order dessert . Yeah not sure I will be back. 3/22/2024. Fourth visit. Our first visit was a few days in to their grand opening, not a great experience, long wait, cold food, poor service. Meal for 5 comped and tickets for free pizzas had us going back to try again. Happy to say every experience since has been great. This visit hubby had an "It's a Beaut" on tap beer which he really enjoyed and a Double Deckeroni pizza which was perfectly hot and delicious. We've passed on this place several times because of the negative reviews but today we decided to give it a try. Our service was great. The hostess was friendly and our food came out perfect and pretty quickly. We had side salads and individual pizzas on thin crust. They were great. We visited at 6:00 PM. It wasn't packed yet. This is the second time that I've been here with my family and every time that we come here it's been great. It's always busy which is to be expected of a great place. The atmosphere is cozy with plenty of TVs, Christmas looking lights that add ambience, high top tables, booths, and regular tables. Totally cool. The menus were actually clean and the selection on the menu was fantastic. Most of all our server page, was on point. She was personable, and had her order executed wonderfully. If you have celiac, please be aware: The gluten-free pizza at this establishment is not celiac safe. My child has celiac disease, and despite ordering the gluten-free option, and making the staff aware of the allergy my child became sick shortly after eating here. The restaurant menu offers gluten-free options, and they are happy to up-charge your personal sized gf pizza at a full sized pizza price, however, there's no clear indication next to the food items that they're prepared on shared equipment. You will have to have to dig into a separate section of the restaurant website to find the disclaimer about shared equipment and potential cross-contact. The staff will not inform you of this detail. It's important to note: there's really no point in offering an allergy-friendly item on the menu if the kitchen environment can't support it safely. I would strongly encourage the restaurant to either take steps toward safer handling practices or clearly communicate the risks, both online and in the restaurant and while a customer is ordering and explaining their allergy in person. We originally stopped at the Miller ale house. After being seated, we sat there for 20 minutes without ever even being acknowledged. Needless to say we left. We ended up going to Old Chicago. The instant we walked in, we had the complete opposite experience. Upon being seated, we were immediately greeted by somebody who was not even going to be our waiter. She said that our server would be with us, but she'd be happy to take our drink order until the waiter came over. Very quickly after that, we were greeted by our waiter (Jalen) who was nothing short of incredible. Probably one of the most attentive waiters we've ever had. Absolutely outstanding customer service from everyone we had any contact with... And the food was pure perfection! What started out as a very frustrating experience at a different establishment turned into a wonderful evening out with our family thanks to the Old Chicago staff! I went for the first time on a Saturday evening, so the place was very busy. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly however the service was slower than is normally acceptable. New restaurant + young and probably new server + busy Saturday night = it's fine The food was good. We got the Chi Town Trio for an appetizer. The best one on the plate was the Sicilian Pepperoni Rolls. I got an individual pizza and my mom got a calzone. The calzone was incorrect but was comped. The pizza was good but not my favorite. The bottom of the pizza was limp so I wish it was more crisp. I would definitely try it again. read more

Our server Nayera was very nice and helpful and did a good job. Bottoms of plates were clean, and food came out nice and in a reasonable amount of time. They seem to have issues with getting dishes out fast enough or something though, they ran out of margarita glasses and water pitchers. This was our first time visiting this establishment. First, I will say the server was good by checking on us frequently. The restaurant wasn't that packed, and it took us over 20 mins to be seated. The kitchen was super slow, which was odd considering we only ordered a 1 topping pizza. Once we received the pizza, we were a few slices in before we realized there was a USED GLOVE under our pizza. My poker club, Dragon's Den Poker, recently started using OC for its Tuesday night free Texas Hold'em poker game. We overwhelmed them as our club utilized the whole side room, but for the first night, despite the learning curve, we can tell it's going to be great each time we play there. They have a good variety of menu items including specialty drinks, appetizers, salads and pizza. We know that given time, they will come up with the best way to staff our players and handle the orders - nothing works well the first time. we are looking forward to game night with OC's menu combination. read more

Our party of 11 arrived at the restaurant at 7:20 PM. The hostess seated our party in the garage section relatively quickly. Our server took our drink order shortly thereafter. He came back a few minutes later with water, drinks for our children, and then informed one adult in our party that his beer choice was not available. Our server disappeared for 30-40 minutes. When I went up to the bar to ask about our drink order the bartender said she was working on our order and then came out in front of the bar and said something about not having clean glasses to serve us. After waiting another 5-10 minutes we flagged down the manager and explained we had been waiting approximately 40 minutes or so for our drinks, that we hadn't seen our server in that amount of time and that we still hadn't ordered our food. Several minutes later the manager started bringing our drinks to us. I half-heartedly thanked him for bringing our drinks as he explained our server was busy tending to a large party on the other side of the restaurant. Rather than taking our order himself, the manager said he would get our server to take our order. Our server returned 5-10 minutes later and took finally took our food order after we had been at the restaurant for over an hour. Our server did apologize for his slowness and went on to explain the restaurant management refuses to staff the restaurant adequately. Our food came out promptly and the food itself was fine as was the service once he was able to break free from the other large party. We finished and left the restaurant about 9:10-9:15. The restaurant appeared to be at less than 50% capacity while we were there so it's not that the restaurant was overly busy. Based on our prior experience at the restaurant when the service was also slow, albeit not 2 hours slow, we will not be returning to this restaurant. It's unfortunate that the service is so slow because aesthetically the restaurant is nice and the food is decent but we refuse to patronize an establishment that does not prioritize customer service. read more

Thin crust pizza was perfect! They were short staffed. Told the wait was an hour. So we settled up to the bar while we waited. And we're given menus !! Great No Wait. Had others come up to the bar like we did and we were all so glad we did. Bartender was busy but attentive and provided excellent service considering the stress she had to be under. We got two cauliflower crust pizzas, the Thai Chicken and the Farmhouse, and a Caesar salad to go! The pizzas were amazing and balanced in flavor and the crust was perfectly crisp and firm without being over cooked! The croutons for the salad are homemade and so good! The service was Great! The wait staff was polite, and all around amazing. But, we were there for the pizza. Worst pizza ever. Should have stayed home with a frozen Tombstone. Got a large hand tossed sausage mushroom green pepper. I had EVERY end cut of the peppers. BUT even worse, the majority of the pizza from the center out, was just a soggy mess. Undercooked.
