Their beer selection is excellent for a small spot, and the margaritas put some Mexican restaurants to shame. The mac and cheese is homemade with fresh pasta is a true must‑try. All the sides are homemade, including their large selection of condiment sauces, and even the salad dressings are scratch‑made in‑house. They also offer all‑day happy hours on Sundays and Tuesdays, plus daily happy hour from 4-6 p.m. I highly recommend this little Sharpsburg gem. read more

My husband was told that he needed to try this new spot in our area out. So after a few days we decided place a to-go order. We ordered 12 wings, potato wedges and mac & cheese. The order was ready in about 15 minutes, while I was in a hurry to make it home before the rain, I forgot to check my order before pulling off. After getting home I see they've forgotten my mac & cheese. The wings were just plain ole wings and were not tasty at all. The potato wedges were hard, but had a pretty good seasoning on them. When I got to the window, I asked the young lady for a recommendation and she told me the biscuits were one of her favorites. I added them to my ticket. Checked this place out while on my lunch break. This was my second time going it was sooo good. The fried chicken is crispy and VERY well seasoned. The fries were amazing! Seasoning is perfect. Stumbled on this place and what a happy accident!! This is going to be one of our new favorite hangouts!! My husband and I both got the "Fowl Mouth" chicken sandwich!! Hey Siri fingers, fried chicken and rotisserie chicken as well as an assortment of sides. Sharpsburg, GA. Victoria served me as I sat at the bar. I ordered a local brew, which is always a plus. I decided on half a fried chicken and sampled a couple of the sauces. The habanero oil being especially tasty. The size included fresh cut shoestring potatoes and a very tasty tomato cucumber onion salad. A chicken in my opinion was nice, crispy and very moist and tender on the inside The owner Troy introduced himself and gave me a sample of their banana pudding. A southern recipe Just like Mom would make. I definitely recommend this place and if you're in the area would suggest you stop in and pick up a bucket to go or enjoy eating with a good beer. The way we are obsessed with this place and making our way through the menu! Usually sit at the bar, but have gotten takeout as well, and it was very speedy. The chicken has great flavor a little spicy if that's not your thing you can ask for the kids chicken. All of the sides are good. Our favorite is the white beans with onions. The second time, the tenders were still good, but the fries were overcooked. Today, suddenly, the tenders were spicy. Not everyone likes spicy food, altho restaurants seems to think we all do. The drive-through is terribly slow. There's one car in front of me and I've been waiting for seven minutes. Just doesn't seem like it pay well oil machine. I'm just part of the restaurant. Normally, they would have people with large orders to move out of the way, so that people who have one item can get through not sure why we're all sitting here in line. I don't think the chicken is worth a 10 minute wait at a drive-through with one car ahead of you . What is the management think about this? She shouldn't be trying to expedite the process here.?? Can't put my finger on why we enjoy this place so much, but we do. It's like a fast food place married a bar. The decor is cool, they play great music, and the food is good! We usually get the plates. 6 tenders with 2 sides and biscuit was about $15. 1/4 rotisserie w 2 sides and biscuit was $10. Some may think the portion of chicken is a little small but the sides are a good size and I think makes it a fair price. And it tastes great. We have been to Waldo's 3 or 4 times in the last month or so. Each time the food is great! It's always cooked well and has been cooked perfectly. The service rivals that of a good sit down restaurant as someone very nice, as well as a manager stops by a few times and asks if all is well and if they can help us at all. Excellent food both times. Service, this place seems like a social gathering of workers. The employees are distracted by their telephones. Checking their phones, responding to texts, watching videos...and of course, cross contamination. Bartender the first time, awesome. Came in yesterday, and the bartender seemed kind...and then, disappeared. My friend and I ordered a drink and an appetizer and then the bartender was simply gone. We asked to pay our bill, declined wanting to order more food, left. I'm going to wait a while before coming again. I know every new place goes through its growth phase. The checking of their personal cell phones is a gross habit and I'm shocked that management doesn't throw the hammer down on this one. However, maybe a few people getting sick, some good Servsafe training, and consistency may rid this establishment of this gross, dangerous habit. We went to Waldo's on my birthday - myself, wife and two adult daughters. I checked the web-site and set expectations accordingly. It's in the old KFC building so you get an idea of the size and seating inside. We ordered the fried chicken platters, sides, onion rings, banana pudding, a beer and a few of the frozen waldoritas. The mac and cheese was excellent - rich and just the right texture. Collard greens were perfect. The chicken was very good - crispy but not loaded with breading or flour. Not sitting in a warmer under a lamp, the chicken was juicy, piping hot and the accompanying sauces were tasty. Decent selection of beers - I will be sitting at the bar with wings and a cold Chance IPA on my next visit. The staff were very friendly and organized - service = excellent. Where is Waldo? He is right here in Sharpsburg, serving up dang good chicken. First thought - another chicken place in Coweta? Second thought - located in the shell of the old lifeless, lackluster KFC? Eye-roll... 2.30-something on a sweltering Southern afternoon, we visited. Natural light flooded the dining space, which was almost to-capacity with patrons. The young woman who took our order at the pay-at-the counter register patiently answered our menu questions, and provided thoughtful suggestions. We both chose the fried tenders (purists - best way to experience the chicken without distraction of bun or mixed greens), mine with the cole slaw and the other with cole slaw, French fries, and Texas toast. Sitting in a corner booth, the kitschy surroundings welcomed us. We sat between Martha and Elvis, with their respective chickens (reimagined on canvas, hanging on adjacent walls). The dining area resonated with lively conversation, and the few bar patrons watched sports on the wall-mounted flat-screens. (Beer and wine offerings - though definitely not the focus.) Our food arrived. Go time. Chicken - perfectly breaded, and the most tender meat. Best chicken tender ever. Cole slaw - crunchy and bright, non-mayo based, though a bit too sweet for my taste. Terry, the owner, stopped at the table to say hello. He inquired about our thoughts on the food and provided insight into the Waldo's story (see website). Yes, fried anything is not the best for us. With all of the current news about seed oils, I searched info about Waldo and his frying methods. Peanut oil? Mystery veg oil? Nope - beef tallow. Chicken - five out of five Cole slaw - four out of five Service - five out of five Overall ambiance - four out of five Most new restaurants in the area are total chaos after opening for months until the dust settles. This is the first time in years that the dust never existed and everything fires on all cylinders. That said, curious to learn if this is because of adrenaline and hype or good management. We really wanted to like this place but it's just ok. We walked in and saw dirty plates left on tables, no one takes orders, and it just felt a bit chaotic. I ordered an entree salad and my husband got the fingers and two sides. The salad dressing was watered down so much that it was almost tasteless. The salad itself was nothing special and I wouldn't order it again. My husband said the fingers were ok, not great. I'm definitely not going back for mediocre food and dirty tables. Meh. read more

ugh what a bum out. i usually like waldo's but i brought my daughter here for dinner tonight and it was mediocre at best. the sweet tea in the container at the front was sour. so when they asked if i wanted some from another container i said sure, and they never brought it to me. i ordered a half a rotisserie and 2 sides and the the wedges were cold and not flavored. when the lady dropped my food off, she didn't bring the sauces it comes with nor my daughters food. she then proceeded to stand at the counter and chit chat for almost 10 min while my kids food got cold. when i asked to speak to the manager, guess who it was.... gross. i was informed by another employee that she seems to be an ongoing problem. it's a shame bc the owner is pleasant, but we absolutely will not be coming back any time soon. over charged for mediocre cold food and bad service. save your money and go elsewhere. with this kind of quality, that building will be a bank next year read more
