I love coming down here with my 2 sons. They have food trucks & restaurants up & down the street . They have outdoor seating for some restaurants. They have a big chess game which is cool to play. Idk if they still have the big checkers or not to play . Big seats to Lounge in, There was a ping pong table that me, and the boys always played on , Amongst other games to play on the sidewalk and a huge chalkboard for people to write things down on, but what they love about Niagara Falls . It's just a fun atmosphere whether you're just going there or if you're on your way to see the Falls or after you leave the fall sit down and just relax or just play some games or get something to eat. read more

This was for the octoberfest 2024. The set up was great with tents and long tables. They had a food service in the convention center and a drink station for beer, pop and water. They also had a souvenir shop with hats, scarfs and halos. It was great to see the long tables and everyone get in the spirit. One thing I did notice they took down an eye sore along falls street, not sure what is going up, but hoping it would a nice sitting area to enjoy falls street. Maybe a stage for music. It's been years, since I was on Olde falls street. My reasoning for being there was to volunteer in the Empire Ride....500 miles to raise money for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute. Total money raised1.5 million...terrific, energetic crowd all for an important cause. Riders rode from NYC to Niagara Falls. The four star rating is for the effort that's been put forth; to try and make the area fun again. Life size games to play outdoors; few interactive things to do...other then state parks. Sorry still disappointing, I'll always remember the Amercian side of the Falls; in its glory days ; late 90s...turtle, winter sports garden; feTivK of lights. read more

Old Falls Street is a nice area to walk around in the summertime but it's especially fun during the holidays. Saturdays during December are filled with activities for the family. Santa's horse drawn sleigh makes it's rounds up and down the street while Santa himself listens to children's wishes and poses for pictures. People can enjoy s'mores around an open pit fire with s'more fixin's available from a vendor. I saw fire baton twirling and neon lit hoola hooping one night. The other day I got to meet Penelope and Eileen, reindeer mom and daughter. They were a bit afraid at first....Penelope seeking comfort by laying her head on mom while kids gently petted her. What beautiful animals they were. I was impressed with their closeness and caring. Their expressive eyes told all. The Niagara Culinary Institute right on Falls St. has the large gingerbread house and other events happening. It's a good place to warm up and see what they have to offer. Crafts and games, the "make a cookie station" is a favorite. The candlelight walk from NF City Hall to Old Falls St. on opening night was a treat. I watched as the lights along OFS and the Christmas Tree were lit. The best fireworks show ever followed the tree lighting. I find Old Falls Street a place to "get me in the holiday spirit". I always come away from there feeling happy and festive. The atmosphere is one of community and togetherness....people sharing in holiday joy. read more

I had just walked around Niagara Falls and as I walked out of the park I needed something to drink. There was a food cart with a big lemon that got my attention. I ordered a fresh squeezed lemonaide and watch the server proceed to make tacos and sliders for a family. Man, they looked good. I asked and they make a lamb slider with some sort of feta sauce and a turkey slider with guacamole and a sweet pepper sauce. I had to try one. I opted for the turkey. They grill the roll perfectly. Then they top it with a wonderful guac & pepper sauce. Positively delish! I may make this a regular stop when I'm in Niagara Falls this summer. Very tasty! read more
