Fried mozzarella

First time going to Lodge on the Green for dinner - and it was amazing! The entire experience from calling to make a reservation, to the very end when we cashed out and left. I believe it was the owner who answered the phone, and took our reservation. He was so pleasant and even started a conversation because I have the same name as his sister. When we arrived, we were seated right away, our server came over and she fully explained the specials, brought us our drinks and was very helpful with every question we had with the menu. On Wednesdays they have half off appetizers, so we decided to try four different ones. We ordered the calamari, stuffed banana peppers, bang bang shrimp and fried mozzarella. Everything was so good! For dinner, I ordered the chicken Milanese with a side salad instead of having it as a sandwich, and my husband had the spaghetti with a single, giant meatball. They make their pasta homemade, and you can definitely tell! We finished off our meal with their molten lava cake and ice cream. I've only ever been to Lodge on the Green for brunch once, and that was an incredible experience. Now I can say that their brunch and dinner is absolutely exquisite and I would recommend this place to anyone!

The last two years have been hard on the restaurants in my hometown. Luckily Sanborn NY is right next store. This past week I stretched Lockport's City Limits an additional ten miles to the west. For the sake of hometown restaurant pride I annexed Sanborn. Today was a Sunday and time for brunch. There has been a buzz about the restaurant at the Shawnee Golf Course. I have played their nine hole course and have a few brews at the 10th hole but never ate there. There is gone, the place has changed hands and the new owners are anxious to make the place where you play nine and then you dine. We arrived about noon. The bar was busy and the dining room had a nice crowd. My wife ordered a burger. I noted the size of the said burger was transported back fifty years to the heyday of Lockport's Fieldstone and it's giant Tender Burger. My spouse enjoyed her sandwich. I wanted breakfast so I got the omelet with the veggies and the feta. Excellent and the home fries were a perfect accompaniment. Brunch was great can't wait to return for dinner.

My family and I decided to eat locally after finishing up our day at the Sunflower Festival. They seemed to be surprised to see us however they welcomed us and the service was great! I'm glad we checked this place out!! My husband and daughter had their pulled pork which they enjoyed!! My husband had the blueberry lemonade!! I had a brick oven pizza, I believe it was the chicken, honey & arugula pizza. I would love to try them out again and for Sunday brunch!!

The Lodge Burger and fries. Excellent

The Lodge is my new favorite place for Friday night fish fry but we also love their Sunday brunch.

Certainly, many a bride's dream come true in the making. Wedding receptions, engagement or anniversary parties, graduation or other special events held here will be memorable. Photography for your special day will be incredible in this beautiful setting too. Check out the one-hour photography package they are offering now on their website. A photo on the Buffalo Bills 50 yard line with a personal photographer framed in commemorative frame. Doesn't appear they are holding large events quite yet due to the COVID-19 restrictions. I will be eager to see how things take off for this lovely venue in the near future. This venue is part of the newly formed "BFLO District" at the Eastern Hills Mall. Who knew that Sears could look so chic?! Quite a make-over, indeed! Four stars for now. Let's see if this total flip is a flip in the right direction. Not a flop - when it comes to customer service, value, communication, collaboration with customers depending on them to make their special day outstanding.

I am amazed that the space was an old Sears. The space was beautifully designed, well thought out and is now a destination instead of turning into another abandoned building. In addition to the event center attached is the BFLO store, a hair salon, Chruscicki Bakery, Simply Pierogi and Sto Lat. The space itself is perfect for a wedding or your next big event. It is a large open and airy room with darker wood floors, light walls and furniture and gorgeous crystal chandelier and snowflake accent lighting. The interior design is very modern and elegant with touches of Buffalo subtly added in. Great lighting, tons of parking and a huge bar. To the back of the room are doors which take you to a hallway that connects to the other businesses in the complex. The hallway is large enough to accommodate mingling of overflow guests from the event center.

We recently had a family member get married, and they had their wedding here at Woodsmith Estates…read morein Batavia. Before we received the invitation, I had never heard of this place, so I checked the venue's website for more info. I noticed that their prices for weddings are really fantastic. If you're looking for an affordable but picturesque setting to say: 'I Do," then this place is for you. The ceremony was conducted outside next to a pond, the reception was held in a barn. That whole 'barnyard' aesthetic is huge right now, so I can see this place booking up quickly once more people know about it. There is a fire pit outside, too. The bathrooms are located off the barn, they're in a trailer sort of structure (but they were decorated nicely). While sitting at the firepit in between dinner and the 'first' dances, I happened to get chatting with the lady who owns this place (she was cleaning up the 'ceremony' decor). She said that she opened this place because she wanted to provide a nice place where people can get married affordably. She didn't care about making a big profit. I thought that was nice. She also allows couples to 'help' other couples by sharing tent rentals or donating flowers to other couples. It is all very sweet. And now, I want to address any future brides & grooms who plan on getting married here: please tell your guests ahead of time that they will be walking on uneven terrain and will be either outdoors or in a not-temperature-regulated barn for the duration of the affair, with bathrooms that can only be reached by climbing a few stairs. Please tell them to wear comfortable shoes and to bring an extra layer. Here's what we experienced: A lot of the women wore heels, and they were not expecting to have to park on the grass then walk through more grass to get the the ceremony & barn area. Their heels were sinking into the grass with each step and a lot of them ruined their shoes. There were patches of gravel, too, which the high-heeled women had a hard time navigating. The floor of the barn looked like stamped concrete; pretty, but not very feet-friendly, especially in heels. Anyone wearing heels was miserable. And you know what? That's not the venue's fault - it is the bride & groom's responsibility to let their guests know ahead of time what sort of footwear is most appropriate. Yellow jackets were in full swing because it was an Autumn wedding. Two guests seated near me were allergic to bees & wasps and did not have their Epi-pens because they didn't know that we were all going to be outside. Again: the bride and groom should have let their guests know that they'd be outside. I believe that this venue allows you to 'bring your own food,' whether you DIY it, have a food truck, or hire a caterer. The bride & groom didn't include dinner options on the invitation, when dinner time rolled around we learned that it was a buffet. One guest was allergic to chicken, and that was the only meat available. So that guest just didn't eat.
