Expanded - Next to the FLW Darwin Martin House is the Greatbatch Pavilion. This large open space has various pieces of historical info about the Darwin Martin House, but it also provides a venue for a cocktail party (up to 150), a formal sit down dinner (up to 100) or a lecture space. I like this space because it is long, open and has unobstructed views throughout. You can really see what is happening from anywhere in the space. You will overlook the Darwin Martin House from this (mostly windows) space. Its an unobstructed view. Gorgeous day or night. The restrooms are modern and functional. There is a space for coatracks, or you can have a coat check. I'm not sure if there is a choice of caterers, but the food I have had at a few events has been good. The service professional and unobtrusive. Its available 7 days a week for rentals. While they don't do weddings or wedding receptions here, they are open for anything else, including the rehearsal dinner. It unique and beautiful. You can decorate to make it "your own" too. On the other hand the facility had a rough night. A number of the beer and alcohol brands were sold out and it was early in the evening when it began to happen. How can they not anticipate the required amount of alcohol when the majority of the tickets sold were pre-sale. There were few walkups. It was the talk of the many of the customers. They definitely need to plan for crowds better.

The thing I loved the most is the virtual tour that you can choose instead of a physical walk. What you see on that screen is EXACTLY what is in that building. The room was spacious. The owner and property manager were fantastic. We had a slight issue regarding the AC circulation and it was handled quickly and efficiently. The communication and customer service was impeccable. I highly recommend this center, and look forward to doing more business with these ladies.

The food was also fantastic! We just had a regular dinner buffet with baked chicken, roast beef and sides, but everything was very tasty! The star of the meal was the chef selection of mini desserts! Everyone raved about it and everything was absolutely delicious! I could have eaten those lemon bars all weekend. The thing that put everything over the top was the courtyard. Everyone did not see it as soon as they came in but once they did venture outside, no one wanted to come back in. Good thing the program part of the banquet was already over. We took wonderful pictures. The fire pit was lit, and everyone just wanted to stay for as long as possible. I only wish we could have stayed past 10. The only downside was the A/V. But i think if you are bringing your own speakers and things, it would be fine. All in all, I would absolutely, unquestionably refer this space to anyone looking to have an event.
