The tri tip was flavorful but tuff, it came with a small scoop or rice, a small scoop of beans both were basic and a small scoop of pico de gallo, which was excellent, 3 stars just for their pico. Why put lettuce on an enchilada? It was ok, not a lot of flavor. I miss the deli sandwiches. Doubt we'll be back.

The fresh herbs are lovely and cost around $1.25 for a decently-sized bunch. We also get their fennel to slice it razor-thin in our mandolin or toss it in vegetable soups spiked with brown miso paste. Great stuff! The Happy Boy crew also won the San Mateo Halloween costume contest this year, which was a lot of fun. Saturday mornings at the College of San Mateo parking lot is the hottest ticket in town!

The barbecue Chicken was tender and seasoned well included rice, beans, nopale salad, macaroni salad, chocolate covered strawberries and cupcakes was a huge hit for everyone.

the market has an old-unkempt vibe. for transactions processed with any type of card there is a $1 fee. not reasonable at all when they do not advertise-it.
