I have worked with Carlos in the past restoring a vintage 1930s model A truck rim. It came out absolutely amazing that's why I chose to use him for this sentimental restoration of a vintage carousel horse off the original Merry-Go-Round on the Santa Monica Pier. Carlos gave me the idea to paint it black with white feet and a white stripe on its nose. My house is black and white so it seemed like it would be a perfect fit he also knew that it would work well with the colors of the house. He sprayed all but the saddle with an amazing gloss black and hand-painted the feet and face and then his sister Joanna went absolutely bonkers with a free hand acrylic paint. I've attached pictures of my vision with my wife's favorite Swatch watch and she went to work. I am absolutely blown away by the results. You truly have to look through all the pictures to realize how it transformed into something that I can't even describe in words. They made it truly one of the greatest gifts I've ever given my wife and she is over the moon! Could not recommend them more for all of your automotive needs and he gladly takes on special projects like this. The pictures speak for themselves. Then to top it off a couple of his workers and his sister came over and helped me set it up on the porch it is very heavy and I definitely needed their help. Now , it is about a 45 minute to an hour drive from my house, but out of all the AutoBody places that I've ever been to - I trust Carlos above all the other ones so that's why I don't mind making the drive. He went out of his way to touch up the bottom splitter and corrected dents when he didn't have to. I had an amazing first experience at Old Grove Auto. My husband and I went there after a minor car accident. We could not open/ close driver door. Carlos is the man!! I had a suspension issue and messed up my front bumper with the accident that happened, and Carlos was able to fix everything as if it never happened. The shop owner Carlos is a great guy who answered all the questions I had about the car repairs including the costs and time involved and he was communicative at every step of the process. The only thing to keep in mind is that it's a pretty small shop, so if you catch them at a busy time they may take a little while to finish the repairs.
