Nice place to grab a cigar, not enough lounge style chairs, more of a bar type setting. Good selection of cigars, not enough cutters or lighters if you plan on smoking the cigars in the lounge. The V cut has seen better days, and only had 1 lighter out for everyone to use. read more

I loved this place... I came here a few times while staying in Rome. It's an awesome vibe, with a great selection of cigars & drinks. The staff was really friendly & helpful, I felt right at home. I am a regular at the Old Havana in Gadsden, Alabama. My wife and I had a quick beer here during fiddle fest on Saturday. I wish we could have kidnapped the bartender and brought him back with us. He chose two excellent beers for us and was very professional and engaged. read more

Great place! Decent humidor to choose from for your cigar choices plus a bar for a drink all in one place. Service was great too! Right in the old downtown area. No problem parking. Old Savannah cigar is a new place for me to visit. I lived in Rome Georgia many years ago and was recently visiting and came across this little bar. It's a great spot if you like to smoke cigars and relax with a drink. The decor is very comfortable and inviting. It is not a very large space and the atmosphere was very calm and subdued. That being said we did visit during the week, so I am sure the place gets much busier on Friday and Saturday evenings. They have beer and wine plus a full bar, and of course there is a walk humidor full of cigars. This place is definitely great if you are a cigar smoker. However, I myself am not, but was with some friends who are. The reason for four stars is since I am not a cigar smoker. I wanted to have a nice cocktail, but in spite of having a full bar, they were pretty limited on their liquor selections. Decent place to get a cigar and leave. Not to fond of a cigar and pipe place with people smoking cigarettes in there. Also good luck trying to look at the pipes they are located on the opposite side of the bar and no one to help you with a purchase they are too worried about the bar. read more

Pub + Cigar Lounge = Winner. If I only lived closer to Rome, GA. I reckon I'd be a permanent fixture and spend a pretty nickel here. I had a chance to stop here while passing by Rome, GA and figure I'll mosey on down and see a man about a cigar or two. The humidor is nice. Its got the regulars, but the exotics and rare were not to be seen. Doesn't diminish the fact that the lounge is very welcoming, well ventilated and comfy. This place is my personal candy store. It has cigars, people smoking cigars, beers, people drinking beers, conversation, people talking a bunch. Wished I had a chance to stay a little but the road beckons. Great place to go relax with a cigar and drink of your choice. I used to live in Rome and spent quite a bit of time there. When I come back to Rome and visit my daughter, I always make it a point to stop in, grab a cigar and spend some time turning the world off. If you enjoy cigars, make it a point to stop in. From the moment you walk into Old Havana you get a good welcome vibe, as if its just a friends house. Old Havana is by far my favorite bar in this town. When you wanna keep it classy and smoke a nice cigar, have a good beer, this is the place to go. 5-7 weekdays they have their happy hour and its $2.50 bottle $2.00 draft. Given their huge craft beer selection, this is the place in Rome to get good beer. They have have a huge walk in humidor and if cigars are your thing you will have a Cigargasm. They have tons to select from, I will suggest the Juicy Lucy. Occasionally they have beer tasting events and private parties upstairs which are always good times. Saturday is all day Happy Hour all draft is 2.50. and if you have a day to kill and another day to recover you will have a good time. Just to give you an idea of how much I enjoy this bar, their computer system can tell you how much you have spent in the bar, I introduced my buddy Randall to this bar a year and a half ago, he had spent $8,000 in this time. I can't come to Rome without stopping by Old Havana. I seriously miss this place when I try cigar shops around Atlanta. None of them stack up to Old Havana. The cigar selection isn't huge, but they have all of their bases covered. They are generally very well kept. This is the only place in Rome that actually takes some chances with their beer selection, and it pays off. Also, happy hour is amazing. Highly recommended. read more

Somewhere between 150-200 different beers, and rumor has it Rome will revoke some of their archaic laws so this place will have liquor soon like its sister stores in Cartersville and Gadsden. They're picky about their staff, so there's always good conversation and a friendly face behind waiting behind the bar. Strike up a conversation with whoever's working and you'll chat all night. There are hundreds of different cigars in a living-room-sized walk-in humidor and this the only place in town you can smoke inside. They've also got a wall's worth of pipe tobacco, and a large display case full of pipes and fancy lighters. This is definitely the only place like this within 50 miles. Great, relaxing spot to hang out and get away from the rowdy crowds at other spots in town. read more

My fiancé and I rented Old Havana's "Up Stairs" event space for our rehearsal dinner. The space itself is great--it was the perfect size for our 70 person event. A friend of ours put little jars of flowers on the tables, but honestly, the space looks great without any decorating. Linens and drinks were all setup by Old Havana, so there was very little work required on our end, which was nice on such a busy weekend. Elliot was our bartender and did an excellent job. Jason helped us coordinate the event. He was very laid back and helpful in getting our event on Old Havana's schedule--just know that he's only on-site in Rome on Wednesdays. In planning any future events, we would definitely rent Old Havana's up stairs space again. read more
