Pork chop is a huge portion! It definitely has more of a ham taste and maybe texture if you're used to a fatty ham. I came to Atlanta to do some pro bono work, a good friend of mine that lives in the area offered to bring me out to dinner. He said that there was this place not too far from where you were staying that is highly considered from some of the people that work at Delta Airlines. We gave this place a chance, and we were not disappointed in what we found. The service is amazing. The entire staff works in unison as a group not as individuals. The owner walked the floor and made sure that everything is working as it should be. The food was delicious and we had a wonderful experience at a place that we did not expect. Wednesday's call for a stop into Manchester Arms. Grabbing food and a much needed cocktail. Today I had the BBQ SMASHED BURGER and it was yummy..I opted for no bun. Manchester Arms is a unique place with charm in Union City. It's an old brick house that once you walk inside you're greeted by staff and you're transported into a British pub. I know people typically order fish and chips at British pubs. But tikka masala is just as authentic at places like this. Smoked pork chop. Bring a big appetite. Seriously one of my favorite meals to splurge on. Service is always solid and I'm usually by myself so I'll sit at the bar. Always a friendly face and even the owners are around. It's cozy so large groups would want to call ahead. Parking is ok. Don't leave anything in your car as there are many break ins. Nice, quaint restaurant tuck in a neighborhood. Awesome beitish vibes from the outside and inside. Got seated right away, although we came close to closing. We love the decor, interesting taxidermy. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was so tasty, well cooked, and fantastic seasoning. I wished I would have ordered it as my main course. The fish and chips came with an option of French fries or onion rings. They used cod. It was tasty, but 1 one my pieces was a a little 2 dry for my liking. The salad was super good as well. Prices are comparable for the area. If drinking, stick with beer. I ordered a Moscow mule and was mostly ice, but ok. Overall, I will definitely return when in the area. read more

I come to Atlanta once a year and always make it a point of dining at The Manchester Arms because the food is so, so good. Fortunately, the same can't be said about service. I came for lunch on the Friday of the Memorial Day weekend. It was empty, maybe two patrons at most when I walked in with one bartender and one waitress on staff. I sat outside, which was completely empty. I waited a good 10 - 15 minutes before someone came out to take a drink order. During that time, two guys sat down and were promptly served their beers. I barely saw the waitress. The bartender brought my drink and my salad. He told me a couple of jokes that made me laugh and changed my disposition. I do like to give feedback in person when possible, especially positive feedback. I began to tell him that I was disappointed with the slow service, but he helped turn that around when he interrupted me saying. "You want to know something? I don't even work here.", and he walked away. I had already tipped 20% and he took the receipt. Otherwise, I surely would have changed the tip. The staff is atrocious, but the food is very good. I later came back for dinner as I had made plans with a friend days before. Food was still great and the service was slightly better - efficient, but not friendly. read more

When first landing in Atlanta it doesn't take long to think about food. Staying at the Airport Marriott however leaves you with limited options. After searching through reviews I came across this English Pub. While not my first choice in visiting the south and all of its delicacies, the reviews and pictures convinced me to give it a shot and glad I did! Nestled on the corner of what looks like a former home, the Manchester Arms looks like it's straight from Fleet Street in London. Our server was sweet and knowledgeable about their menu and encouraged us to try the calamari which was some of the best I've ever ver had when paired with their awesome tangy dipping sauce. For our main courses we hit fish tacos? Which came in three and were very good size, and a lightly breaded flounder fillet paired with glazed brussel sprouts and fries. TIP: I would have gotten double brussel sprouts they were so good!!! At the End of the Day I don't come to the south for English food but when you're hungry and in College Station I will vouch that you won't find much better! read more

Business trip to ATL and had stopped into Manchester Arms, 19Mar2024. Had a ribeye (Medium) and some mashed potatoes and salad. Everything was pretty good, the service was quick and the only thing I can really say about this that is on the gripe side is that the seating and inside was really dated. The outside just looks like a two story home, and that's what it is in the inside as well! What do you know! This place is known for its chops and steaks and they do well. We stumbled on Manchester Arms driving up to an event in North Atlanta from Fayette county. We're porch surfers and the outdoor seating caught our eye. Let me tell you - I am SO glad we stopped. Our party had the chop, beef stroganoff and the chicken Tikka Masala. The stroganoff was so simple and homie. It was wasn't incredibly cream heavy, it was light and well balanced which we loved. The chop was awesome. I myself have eaten the Chicken Tikka Masala at the prized restaurant at The Crown in London, England. Theirs is better! You can taste the layers of spice. Service was great and the drinks were tasty! The only thing I didn't love was the expresso martini recipie needs tweaked. We will definitely be back! read more

Well y'all here is another small spot just off a main road type situation. It's not far from the airport so that makes it accessible pretty reasonably if you're between flights for some oddly strange long time. One thing I'm always going to latch onto is the service. From the time I walked in to meet the rest of my party who had already gotten a table because I came from home 30 minutes away the staff greeted me. Even the guys outside walking to their car on a break spoke to me and made sure I knew where I was going. So I got situated with my group, three of us, and they started explaining the recommendations from the gentleman taking care of our table. We were all really hungry and skipped past any appetizers or small sharing bites so straight to ordering the meal. I opted for this brined pork chop special they had for the day or week or something like that and I must say it was righteous. It was so juicy and done perfectly and was not salty. I find that to be a hard task at some establishments - the balance of flavorful versus salty. Nonetheless I love French fries and got that along with some brussel sprouts to make mom proud I ordered some good vegetables. The sprouts were really good as well. Roasted, oiled, and seasoned. There was a nice not char but roast essence it had. I appreciated it very much. I honestly am ready to go back to try some other things from the menu. One person in my party was vegan and had an allergy to something, I think gluten, and the gentleman was so very patient and accommodating to help build her a meal. I'm not one to skimp on a good meat plate but I loved seeing how he assisted in such a way he knew about the dishes and what items are made in a way that meat products or gluten couldn't be avoided and successfully got her together with more than just a blank salad. I have no clue what the outcome was but she is my sister in law's buddy and said bring her back again. So I think we did really good. The atmosphere is like that of an old house turned restaurant but it's pretty size able yet cozy. I think I'd like to offer this as a suggestion for my next work lunch meeting as I work in the area. We found Manchester Arms due to its fantastic proximity to the Atlanta hotels near the airport. It was six minutes from our hotel, but once in the neighborhood we felt miles away from all the airport hullabaloo. Talk about striking gold! Manchester Arms is superb in every way. The ambiance is straight out of an English shire. The food is wonderful. Our martinis were spot on. The wines we enjoyed with our meals were perfect. Plus, it is so reasonably priced! We loved it so much we went back on our return. We met the owners and they are a charming pair. We live in Charleston, SC and outstanding restaurants abound here, but I wish we had the Manchester Arms right here. It is the kind of restaurant one wants to revisit and become a true regular. I give this place 4 stars for the good food and community vibe! They are an English style pub in the neighborhood of College Park with a neighborhood crowd. You can always find good conversation at the bar and the atmosphere is intimate if you prefer to sit down at a table. It isn't the cheapest bar around, but the food is good quality and the bar tender/waitstaff are really friendly! The chicken sandwich is really good here, and the burgers are Presley juicy! I've also heard that the meatloaf is a good hearty meal if you are looking for something heavier. They are on the finer side of what would be considered pub food. They have some good wine and good beers on tap. One thing of note--they are not open on Saturdays and Sundays so don't pop in on a weekend! This place is definitely worth a shot! read more

I was looking for a place nearby-ish that would feel like the British pub culture I love so much. This fit the bill. Our server was hilarious, making jokes and cutting up with us all night. A group of my fellow England travelers and I loved the vibe and had a pleasant outdoor dining experience (but inside is so cute too!). We didn't go all that traditional with what we ordered but have zero regrets over that famous pork chop and yummy beet salad. I can't even begin to tell you how cute this joint is. When we arrived at the spot, it looked totally like a neighborhood house and nothing more. I mean, there was string lights outside of it and a sign. But if you're not looking. You would probably miss it. Let's start shall we. Appetizers we started with were... We stopped in to this place after wandering around the neighborhood to have a drink. We weren't hungry yet so we just grabbed a beer. The menu did look good though and anything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious too. The bar got a little packed, but then again it was Friday evening. Tons of outdoor seating and it looked like a bunch inside as well. The lady at the hostess stand I think may be one of the owners. She was super sweet. Tucked away in essentially a quaint neighborhood, this little spot is full of charm, great service, and decent food - worth the adventure. Between us, we ordered the bangers & mash and a grilled chicken sandwich. Both were decent, nothing amazing, not that I expect a grilled chicken sandwich, especially without a bun, to ever be outstanding. What stood out most was the friendly service and cleanliness of the establishment. It was pouring rain when we went so we couldn't partake of the cute patio, but that would definitely be an option. There's also a full bar to one side that was only 1/2 full at lunch, though likely more hopping at night. There are lots of options on the menu for all appetites and I would happily go back again to try more when in the area. read more
