Delicious! My dad was craving a banana split. The old mill restaurant was so amazing we just had to try out the old mill Creamery. I loved that they offered creamery flights. I tried three different scoops. I tried the whiskey ribbon and it was meh. I could only taste the chocolate pieces. There were hardly any nuts and the vanilla wasn't that vanilla. I certainly didn't taste any of the whiskey or rum. The plain vanilla was perfect! The banana pudding flavor was my favorite! They also had a seasonal, sweet pumpkin pie, so yummy. read more

Our family vacationed in Tennessee for a couple of days we stopped here because it had the best rating but let me tell you their ice cream is amazing. The people are very nice and it feels very home like. The ice cream is unique and reasonable for the quality. Very friendly service with 2 patient girls who helped my 3 kids. Servings were huge (my husband and I definitely agreed we should have split a sundae). No indoor seating so when it was pouring outside it was very tricky for my kids (especially my 3 yo) to eat. It also didn't have a restroom to clean her up (we had to go to the public restrooms across the street). The ice cream was good but my son received the incorrect flavors so that was a bummer but he was able to eat ours since we definitely had more than enough, just not the flavors he ordered. We did not tell them as we had more than enough ice cream to satisfy him and we we no longer inside the restaurant by the time he realized it (again no seating so had to move along quickly). read more

Everything on the menu is produced locally. I had the local made flavors. Oat Mill Cream Pie has chunks of homemade oatmeal cream pie in a vanilla based ice cream. Whiskey Ribbon Ice Cream... no kidding, ice cream laced with moonshine. It also has many chunks of fudge mixed into it. I thought I almost had a slice of fudge after eating just 2 scoops. The moonshine gave it a delicious taste (very small trace of alcohol... enough to incorporate the taste. My wife had Banana Pudding which mixed fresh banana with vanilla flavors and a Chocolate Peanut Butter the second time. Every flavor was creamy and deliciously full of flavor. My taste buds salivate every time I think about it. The prices ($5 for 3 big scoops) were very reasonable for the amount you received. We actually went twice in three days cause we enjoyed it so much. Located across the street from the Old Mill Restaurant with parking in front. Really great old-fashioned ice cream! We were in the mood for ice cream on Friday evening and was going to drive all the way from Sevierville to Gatlinburg to get a fix. Apparently, the traffic was kinda busy, so we decided to stay closer to our place of stay and got in just right at 9 pm. Our cones were topped with butter pecan, chocolate, and smore, and we all loved them. It was not too sweet and tasted very very natural. I hate writing such a poor review but was left with few options. We entered hoping for some hot drinks to warm our bones from all the cold. They had a great menu on the wall of drinks that looked very good. However, we were quickly and rudely informed that only coffee & one other were available. My husband ordered the regular coffee (because apparently they weren't able to make a latte,) and I ordered the second one that had the name "White Christmas" in the name. I was told they were out of lids for the drink I requested. My husband's coffee, however, came with a lid. I told them that I didn't want mine without a lid & apparently mine couldn't be put in the same cup as my husband's ??? Why? I have no idea. Regardless, even if they had been able to make the drinks that we both actually wanted they STILL would only be receiving 2 stars. The 2 stars are simply because my husband's coffee was hot and not terrible. Read on to find out why. The young group of girls who were working here on this particular day were rude and downright hateful. I saw them treat two other groups exactly the same way as they did us. Here's a few hints... 1. Talking about customers when they can hear you is NEVER a good idea. Some people have really good hearing! 2. Sampling the ice creams on the sample spoons and dipping them back into another flavor AFTER it's been in your mouth it a disgusting idea. Treating customers as a nuisance in your day when you're in the service industry will greatly reduce any chance of a tip...much less customers returning. 3. Care about the people who come in the door. Without them, you wouldn't have a job! And just a thought...if something isn't available, don't have it written in chalk on the menu. A classic ice cream place with several yummy flavors! Two sons had milk and cookies, one had orange cream, another son had peach and my mom in law had snickers. I had the peanut butter flavor. Each of us loved our choices. They have the option of trying a sampler of 3 flavors for $5 or 5 flavors for $7. The service was great even though we showed up 5 minutes before they closed. For a $4 scoop of strawberry, I feel I got ripped off. The scoop was generous size but there were no strawberries in the ice cream and it had a strong taste of strawberry syrup. Great little ice cream shop that's conveniently located right off of the main strip down Parkway. We were greeted right away by two ladies. They told us they made their waffle cones and almost all their ice creams in their shop, which is impressive in a day where almost all food is processed. After having a couple of (free) samples of their flavors, we settled on their Birthday Cake flavor in a medium cup. Their medium size seemed to be 2.5 scoops! It was extremely delicious.
