Great location, their customer service was great. We were with a large group and they worked well with the younger kids whose attention was elsewhere when ordering. The area though (especially at the checkout counter) wasn't clean, wish that wasn't an issue otherwise I would have given a 5 star. Their food and drinks were good, your typical icecream parlor. We stayed at the Margaritaville hotel at the Island and were out and about one night when we came across The Island Creamery. It was pretty cold that night, but we always seem to relax and enjoy an ice cream cone when we can. We went inside and noticed a decent line; it must be pretty good if there were a decent number of people there (or maybe it's because they are serving the Island which has a lot of tourists). After about 10 minutes my lovely partner and I got to place our order. She got the blue Cookie Monster on a waffle cone; the flavor tasted like a cookies and cream with some mystery chunks in there (mochi or marshmallow or cookie chunks?). I got the Strawberry Cheesecake on a waffle cone and that flavor is popular among all ice cream places, so no surprises here. We sat in front of the fountain during the show to enjoy our cones and the show. She noticed that the blue Cookie Monster does turn your lips blue, so she traded with me. I didn't really notice how badly it changed the color of my lips until I saw the ride pictures after we got off the ferris wheel. Hahaha It was fine, but something you should be aware of if you choose that flavor. Overall, our experience wasn't bad, but there was nothing special about it either. read more

The line is always long when we walk by so we decided to give them a try after coming back from the car show nearby on our way back to the Margaritaville Island Inn. We caught it at the perfect time when the line only had one other family waiting. I had the caramel sundae and hubs had the strawberry shortcake. These were HUGE. I didn't get any ice cream on this trip, I opted for another post meal "dessert" HOWEVER, the rest of the family got some. Salted Caramel, Red Velvet, and Cotton Candy. The waffle cones came in a Blue Bell Creamery cone holder, so I'm guessing that it was Blue Bell Ice Cream. And in that case I'm sure the ice cream was good. You really can't top Blue Bell. When you look at the flavors on the wall when you come out... they aren't accurate. So make sure you walk by the case to look at flavors. The Island Creamery had so many options it was almost overwhelming and will test you decision making capabilities. The Ice Cream Sundae (Reese's) was massive and dang near gave me diabetes. I LOVED IT! They also have cold drinks and coffee available. The prices are comparable to any place in high tourist traffic areas. So why not 5 Stars? It is not Cold Stone Creamery with fresh mixed ice cream and a song. read more

I'm surprised at the poor reviews for this place. We had a pretty good experience. The staff was friendly and they were moving fast to help the long line of customers. We only sampled the peach ice cream, and it was pretty tasty. They offer rolled ice cream, so we ordered the cookies and cream. It was fun to watch them chop and mix in the cookies into the ice cream base on the cold metal slab. $10 is a bit high for such a small amount of ice cream, but to be fair, quite a bit of effort is involved for the rolled style. read more

As I walked up to the counter to order, I saw a large roach between the glass and toppings doing its best to drag off some of the dropped toppings. I tried to discreetly let one of the workers know that it was there, but aftering looking at it, she gave me a look like I was crazy and walked off. In somewhat disbelief, I let a different worker know about it in a not-so-discreet way. Unphazed, she ignored me too. Needless to say, we left with two disappointed 5 year-olds. I can somewhat understand a food business having an occasional bug, but to be completely ignored and made to feel like I am the unwanted intruder is unexcusable! I do not recommend this place. When my girlfriend and I decided we wanted ice cream to end our day off here at Pigeon Forge we decided to come here. It is in a fairly good location near the water fountains but, as soon as we were in the mood was off. The staff was highly rude and non attentive to what they were doing. After my girlfriend ordered a butter pecan scoop he tried to give her cookie dough and when she asked if it was butter pecan he coped an attitude with her assuring her it was but clearly it wasn't. He wasn't nice until he realized he was in the wrong. The staff didn't understand the customers because the music was too loud and were seeming annoyed that we had to keep repeating our orders. The price was definitely pricey for average ice cream. I would highly recommend choosing another candy/dessert shop to eat at. read more

Bring your big check book when you come here. It's really clean, bright, yummy but super duper expensive!! We thought we saw on google they were closed by 9pm on Sunday's but that's not the case. I highly recommend NEVER coming here. I almost never write bad reviews because everyone has bad days. But I wish I would have come on here to read reviews before going here because they were all spot on. You'd think being in a busy tourist attraction, you'd have better staff, service, and product! The ice cream was really hard and nothing special. The staff never talked to ANYONE in there and seemed to have a hard time understanding anything anyone was saying. They rolled their eyes a lot and moved very slowly, despite the line of customers waiting. I would never EVER come back here, even if I was paid to. I would give this shop zero stars they are not allergy friendly, according to how they told me they make their ice cream and mix ingredients I am not sure how they pass health code. The staff and owner were incredibly rude and did not want any customer interaction which is the exact opposite of every other establishment we have visited on our trip to this beautiful south. Simple ice cream store however all ice cream was homemade. The coconut ice cream was great especially if you love flakes of coconut; light & creamy. This was a hit with my family! super expensive and misleading. The menu was super confusing. They had a list of scoops and bowls on one list and extras on a separate list. For some reason adding a waffle bowl wasn't on a separate list but was on the same list with the prices of scoops.
