Old Navy's are good for a few things. #1 Plastic, somewhat disposable (after a Summer's season) Flip Flops: These sandals come in every color imaginable and generally take up an entire wall. . . if not several walls in any given store location. I visited this Old Navy location this past weekend and what do you know?! The sandals are on display. It's January!!! Apparently this is why I can never find a sandal in my size when the summer rolls around. . . They've already been on sale for months at that point. #2 Thrift-Like Clearance: Their clearance section, while difficult to maneuver through, is extremely cheap and well worth it if you take the time to look through this jungle of a section. My last visit I was able to find a Rock Band t-shirt, loose fitting light sweatshirt, and dressy long sleeve shirt for $12 total! Not a bad deal at all :) #3 Great Sale Prices: When Old Navy has sales, rest assured you will leave with some pretty amazing deals. Bought a knee length pea coat recently for a discounted $50 instead of its original price of over $100. Many items at 50% off. Overall Old Navy is the place to go for your basics at reasonable prices. Nice selections of summerwear when the season rolls around. Departments for men, women, and children. The commercials with the talking mannequins annoy me. . . but the store doesn't :) read more

Wow! This place is by far the most unorganized Old Navy I have ever been to. I honestly felt like I was at the salvation army and had to rummage for my clothes. It was a joke. All the womens clothes were mixed with the childrens clothes and it was just awful. I was bummed. It was a rainy day yesterday and I was all excited to go shopping and use some old navy coupons I had that I was saving up. I haven't been to ON in a long time. What a huge disappointment. I have no idea who put that place together..but they honestly need to re-arrange the entire place IMMEDIATELy so next time I'm not walking around like an idiot trying to find womens clothes in the 3 months section! read more

I may sound like a nincompoop, but jeesum crow! This place so damn cheap, and I never freakin' knew about it. Sure, I saw the ads on TV, knew OF it, but had never actually ventured into this cavernous, industrial space in the bowles of Providence Place and combed through the ungodly amount of bins, racks, and shelves of every article of clothing imaginable. Post-shop, I was totally pooped and needed red meat to get my motor running again. No lie. So yeah, the stuff is super-cheap, but is it any good? I tried on an adorable silky blouse only to be crest-fallen when the ill fit abruptly killed my joy. There was no way it was going to work, and I have to be completely honest and tell you I have a very average frame. Things usually fit, so my confusion ran deep. The lesson? Go for the knits, as one really can't go wrong with a $4 racerback cotton tank. The staff was friendly, albeit small. Sure, I was there on a Tuesday night, but it seemed as if we were in the merry old Land of Oz, and Dorothy's house had just dropped down, creating a mess of brightly-colored clothing and sending the town off in a scatter. A few of them popped up sporadically to help with fitting rooms and check-out, which is all we really needed, I guess. So, in the end, I left with na'ry an article in site, but my companion made out with an enormous sack of items - including several $4 racerback cotton tanks. I think she purchased maybe twenty things, and her grand total came to roughly $100. $100!!!! For reals! I was dumb-struck, as this is usually what I tend to spend on a single item. I also immediately imagined all of those tiny, bloodied fingers of the children working in sweatshops to give us these colorful, cheap garments... But, the shame wore off, and I celebrated my friends bounty and was on my merry way. read more

I had to ask if they work on commission - because the attentiveness and quality of their service prompted me to ask. This is the only Old Navy where I get this. It's in the basement of Providence Place but so bright & airy. It's one of the larger Old Navys I've been in & the only one I've found difficult to navigate. I was let down by the selection in the men's & children's department. I always check out the children's sale rack first. What a disappointment. I grabbed what I could from the slim selection & showed them to my wife for approval. She wasn't impressed. I couldn't believe it was that picked over. I next went to see what deals I might find in the men's section & had similar luck. Why is the men's sales rack filled with so much merchandise in such a small area? It wasn't easy to look. They had quite a bunch of stuff but just crap, nothing I would wear & an abundance of sizes that wouldn't fit me. I have found awesome deals here once but this visit let me down. I don't remember the music being so loud my previous visit but it really rattled my nerves. My wife & I ended up leaving empty handed. We'll come back again on future visits to check it out & hopefully will have better success. read more

I don't usually review stores but I was so impressed with the staff at this Old Navy that I felt like I needed to. First of all, I think they have a bigger selection than Old Navy in Smithfield and I have pretty good luck finding things there. But, I was there two days before Christmas and the place was PACKED. Everything was on sale and I found a ton of stuff I wanted. I went to check out and the line was crazy long, but I really wanted my stuff so I sucked it up and decided to get in the line. The staff was so great, the line moved so quickly! It also didn't feel like they were rushing me when they checked me out. It was the perfect combo of attentive but efficient. I think this is my new go to Old Navy!! read more

The staff at this store went above and beyond today! With a smile! Today, we went ice skating with our 3 small children, 3, 4, and 6. It was so warm , the rink was wet, and our kids clothes got SOAKED!! I thought, I'll just run into Old Navy before we meet our family at cheesecake factory. (our family was already there waiting for us) I ran in, grabbed clothes with the kids, and took them to changing room. I told the woman my kids were cold and would like to have them wear the clothes now. She said I could take the tags off the clothes and have the kids go into the changing room with their big cousin and put new clothes on! I rushed to the checkout and was astounded by the line! IT'S BLACK FRIDAY!!! ooopppsss. longest line in history. At least an hour wait. Well, we couldn't do that. Another wonderful girl who worked there was standing next to me. I said, uh oh, i thought i could just change my kids and leave. Their clothes are so wet and they are cold, but I'm going to need to put their clothes back on and give you back the other clothes because we don't have the time. She said, "follow me." I did. She walked right up to a register and spoke to the girl and they immediately checked us out. No line, no fuss, no complaining. Just some wonderful staff who was sympathetic to my plight. And it was a nice surprise. Customer Service like we don't see it today. I was encouraged and felt thankful beyond! Thank you girls for your help today and my kids thank you that they got to enjoy our family who we only see once a year , without being freezing but comfy in their new Old Navy clothes!! read more

I was in Providence on vacation visiting my cousin. I wasn't planning on going to Old Navy, since we have the same stores here in California. However, we went anyway and I'm glad we did. They have a pretty decently sized maternity section (which the stores near my house don't have at all), so I was able to buy some maternity clothes.
