Oh my gosh it was amazing! After the mall closed we came over here and the sales and selections of items was amazing! I came here with my family and we all were able to find something we liked (especially with the jean sale!) and i'm surprised with the reviews this store currently has because my experience was nice. There were three specific employees that went beyond great in customer service and although I didn't get their names it was someone with bleached blonde hair, and two girls in the front around 8:30 at night putting away jeans. All of them were so nice and helpful in finding jean sizes for me and even thought it was before closing! The only issue i had was with the lady who rung me up (sadly i got no name but she's south asian) and i was trying to be friendly with her and asking her how her day was and she stared at me like I said I hope she has a horrible day or something. I totally get being tired after a long day but when I even placed my jeans on the counter after she rung up one she looked at the other pair and said in a very sarcastic tone "you want this too?" and i said i would. Again, I get being tired, as someone who's also worked in customer service in a busy store but also it's quite disappointing how she spoke to me. There was also a mishap with the second pair of jeans not having a scanner tag and she was trying to put it in but after a while my mom and sister asked if she would like for them to get her a different pair and she said yes, they came back with a size smaller (as there was no bigger sizes on the floor) and she asked in again a sarcastic tone "so you want this size instead?" and once they left to see if they could find another one she finally brought up the scanning code. I get this might be because of an inventory issue but again, what was the attitude for? My family and I were trying to accommodate for the missing tag and she just seemed like she didn't need to be checking people out with that attitude. Otherwise I had a great experience! The employees at this location were awesome! They were willing to converse, answer questions and it was generally a fun atmosphere to be in. The employees are more than willing to help and it is great. I also had a return the same day and the woman working on my return was a huge help! She went above and beyond for us. We were returning a pair of sweatpants and she looked it up to see if it's sold online and if it's in any other stores. She also called another store to put it on hold since we wouldn't make it before it closed... I cannot say the same for the store that she has asked for it to be on hold for us. They put it back on the rack the next morning. Anyways, can't say enough good things about this location. read more

This location is very clean and the employees are helpful and friendly. Like every Old Navy, the checkout line goes by pretty slowly, no matter how many people are in line, but they always have many registers open, thankfully! They normally have great sales here, but it's a hit or a miss, really. Much, much better than the location closest to my house. They don't play shitty music at this location, and everything is neat, not thrown around like garbage. You can tell that the employees actually care about how the store looks and how customers are treated. read more

What a joke of a store. Extra messy and disorganized. I tried to redeem my super cash of $20 off $50 purchase, I pre-calculated the subtotal and I should have met the minimum $50. When it came to check out apparently some of my items were under the list price. This is the first time where I didn't meet my subtotal and the employee did not let me know that I don't make the minimum. After purchasing I noticed the discount was only $10 I spoke with the employee and manager and they said there's nothing they can do. I tried to return my items and they wouldn't allow that either. I would never go back to this terrible location with lack of customer service. The employee Jameliah and Alana both said there's nothing they can do. What a joke. Don't bother going to this location, spend your money at other locations that actually value customers like the Bloomingdale and Hoffman Estates stores. read more

I go to this location all the time because it is the closest to my house - no other option really. Their selection isn't quite as good as other stores, and their workers are very hit or miss. Some are great and some just suck and chat with their friends instead of acknowledging your presence. I suppose it's like that in all retail locations though. On the upside, this location is always more organized and clean than comparable Old Navys. read more

.And now, presenting awful customer service experience in the Schaumburg shopping vortex! (Que music) I have been in here before without incident. I know what to expect, and I know what they have here. Last night, I walked in at 8pm, looking to buy one pair of flip flops. I get them, walk up to the register where the manager has all of the cash drawers piled up. I am ignored for a few moments, and then I am instructed to walk down to the last register to pay. The employee at that register was on the phone, talking to someone he calls "babaaaah and baby." He motions to me to hurry, like I am holding him up! Ugg! My total comes up, and I give Sir chats a lot a $20. He takes it, sighs, checks his pockets, and begins digging around behind the register for something..... Oh....he needs change. He never told me. I could have given him exact---but WHY?!?!? It's only 8pm, and you are open for another HOUR! I understand having only 1 drawer open for the last hour, especially when it's dead in the store, but that drawer should be stocked with change--and if it's not, a simple "I need to grab some singles, I will be right back" would be totally acceptable. Instead of offering some short explanation, the employee ends his phone conversation with Baby, and yells across the store "I need some singles." The manager yells back "How many??" Old Navy clothes never seem to fit me well. I used the think it was because I was short, thin, and sort of pear-shaped. Now I am short, not as thin as I used to be since having a kid, and very pear-shaped, and still no dice. I love their pajamas--very comfy and who cares if they are too long or fit funny--but regular, everyday clothes? I just can't do it most of the time, although right now my favorite t-shirt is from here. Do you know who CAN wear Old Navy clothes, though? My baby! With a pretty decent selection of $5 creepers for both girls and boys, plus slightly more expensive gear and cute, cheap accessories (tiny cowgirl boots, anyone?), there is plenty to choose from without breaking the budget. Sure, they could rotate the selection a little more so that the spring clothes don't overlap with the summer clothes, but come on. $5 creepers with snaps that hold up to frequent diaper changes. I can't really complain. The staff is OK, the lines are OK, the fitting rooms are OK. I don't really care since I just want to run to the back of the store and snatch up baby clothes. read more

Earlier today I exchanged a pair of Jeans that didn't fit- nope it's not just extra holiday weight gain. Apparently not all 34X32 pants from Old Navy (exact size and style) fit the same. To make matters worse I had to stand in line twice since they don't have a separate exchange/return line- and "It wouldn't be fair to the other customers in line"- even though I had already stood in line once. Make that twice since you also have to wait for someone with a key to the stalls in the fitting room! I'm not sure what they are protecting in empty/unused fitting rooms. The added insult was to have to pay extra tax because the first pair was from an Old Navy in a bordering county. I am done with this store! Maybe it's just the Schaumburg store but I am finished with all of them. There are too many other stores that treat customers less like cattle and actually value having customers in this economy. read more

BEWARE of the checkout impulse merchandise and check prices all prices!! I purchased socks online for $5.00 to be picked up in the Hoffman Estates store. When I looked at the socks, two of them were clearanced priced for $2.49. The clerk returned them and I repurchased them, but, they were actually on sale for $1.49. Then I went to the Schaumburg, Il store and purchase 2 more socks and a small individual bag of M&M's. I looked at the receipt as I was about to leave and they charged me $3.00 for a single serve bag!!! No sale sign or price tag at the candy counter, just a hope that I won't notice on an impulse buy. I asked to return it but they couldn't pull the receipt up, it would take at least 15 minutes for the computer to generate it. I couldn't wait around, but for the inconvenience, I will be sure to return the socks too. Not good Old Navy! read more

I used to HATE this Old Navy location. Having been an Old Navy employee for, oh, 7 years, the Woodfield location was known to be messy and overpacked, with upstock piled up to the ceiling. They've vastly improved over the years, no doubt due to a change of management and some diligent employees who really know what they're doing. Some of the employees - especially Patti - are just amazing in terms of customer service. I no longer cringe at the idea of going to the Woodfield Old Navy - actually, I look forward to it and know it'll be a good experience. read more

I feel this Old Navy location is a hit or miss...I've found awesome deals here (sandals for $1) and the staff is great! But on the other hand, the location is smaller then most Old Navys so the selection isn't the greatest I feel. I've also gone there several times and there has been a sign posted showing a price, but when I get to the register I get a "that's only for this color or this style"...Im sure I would get that at any Old Navy location though! I do like the fact that it is smaller...and they have a great workout clothing selection. You can usually find good deals on the clearance rack! The location is right in the heard of the Woodfield Shopping District, so you are right across from Woodfield Mall and near other great shopping spots! read more

One of the cleaner and more organized Old Navy stores I've been in lately. Checkout line was long and only one person was working. Old Navy prices are reasonable and sometimes just plain low, but the quality isn't there. I love their jeans though and they last a long time, so that's my go-to purchase here. I'm through trying to make a purchase at this store. Yes I love the merchandise and yes the prices are great but every time I get in the check out line there is one cashier who is unenthusiastic at best and moves slower than a turtle with a broken leg. Today there were 3 customers in line while the one cashier was helping a customer with a return I believe. The customer wanted a different size or color or something. So the cashier is running around the store looking for the item while we all wait. I gave it several minutes then put down the merchandise and left as did another customer. Something's happened to Old Navy over the last few years. Maybe it's because they are value based, they probably pay their team lower rates so overall the customer service and experience of this store could be improved. The checker didn't say one word to me and the store is so darn overpacked you can't navigate through the store with a stroller. I could only imagine the store doesn't comply with ADA standards. Clothing selection has improved in recent years; however, the Schaumburg location did not provide an enjoyable shopping experience. The young blonde manager(?) squawking around the store was a bit ridiculous, not to mention the impatient cashiers (during a slow period) were ridiculously rude--the mere words "did you find everything you needed today?" do not compensate for the rudeness that preceded them in getting me (the customer) to the register. And the cashier who honestly had no idea what to do with the carts when instructed to collect them....?! read more

I saw a shirt that was on a mannequin which I absolutely loved, but could not find it anywhere and nobody was around to help me. I have always had mixed feelings about Old Navy. It's very hit or miss for me. I came here and was not very impressed with the selection. I have been to other Old Navy's that are much bigger and have more to choose from. The customer service was really great. And they are pretty cheap. But they aren't just cheap in price - they are also cheap in quality. I bought some board shorts that faded in wash after a few times. That's disappointing. I may go back to Old Navy for some things, but overall I think I am going to steer clear from now on. read more

I really wish that this wasn't the nearest Old Navy to my house. This place is always understaffed - there's no one to help you out or answer questions in the clothing section. There's never enough cashiers, and the line is always extremely long. They tend to hire very young kids, and one employee was very rude to me when I asked if he happened to know where a nearby store was.
