For starters we ordered the oysters on the half shell to start, and cocktail sauce is all they had. We also shared dinner salad and bowl of clam chowder which came with delicious sliced sourdough bread. The clam chowder wasn't as good as we were hoping. For our dinner meal we shared the SEAFOOD COMBINATION PLATTER $39.95 A whopping portion of the ocean's finest edibles combining steamed clams, fried jumbo prawns, oven baked oysters, grilled salmon, fried bay scallops, clam strips, calamari and cod. Served with French fries. There were two of everything except steamer clams, clam strips, 1 salmon and 1 cod. The prawns weren't jumbo. Over all we enjoyed ourselves.

We haven't been there for quite some time, but we remembered previous visits as being good food for a reasonable price. Both I and our friend ordered prime rib. I had Pier101's prime rib a couple of years ago and it was excellent. Unfortunately, that was not the case today. It looked good when it was served altho I noticed it was thicker than the usual cut, but when we tried to cut it using the serrated knife that came with it, we both had a very difficult time. The the flavor was ok, but it was almost unchewable. We both had a couple of bites and just gave up. To add t our misery, the Caesar salad Romaine lettuce was limp and tasteless and the broccoli served with the prime rib was cold and hard...almost uncooked. I like my vegetables crispy, but this was ridiculous. My husband ordered stuffed shrimp and only ate a few bites. He loves shrimp, but he said the meal wasn't good. When our waiter came to remove our dinner plates and realized we hadn't eaten much he brought the manager to our table (after a rather long wait when we just wanted to leave). She apologized and said sometimes the prime rib they get isn't that good. My question then is why serve it? Anyway, they gave us half off so we ended up spending almost $80 and went home hungry. Needless to say, we will not be going to Pier 101 again...ever!

Service here at Kyllo's is really on-point. Every staff member works in unison to make your dining experience superb. Our host seated us promptly, our server and busser appeared in a timely manner. Add to the fact, that you have large open windows displaying the oceanfront and that makes for a wonderful dining experience. For food, my wife had a bowl of Clam Chowder and Garlic bread. As for me, I started out with a fresh plate of Potato Chips and of course, a 3-piece order of the Halibut Fish & Chips. Everything was delicious, like before and nothing disappointed us. I would definitely recommend a fresh plate of potato chips to start you meal.

You get to the restaurant by entering the side street to the north and winding behind the hotel next door. Some people park in the public lot to the south of the restaurant and walk. We had calamari as an appetizer. It was average though the aioli was very good. My GF had the crab cakes. There were two of them and she rated them average. She did like the sweet potato fries they came with. I had the halibut fish tacos. They had large pieces of fish and lots of cabbage. The dressing was bland, but the fish was good. A little messy to eat. I also had a side of fries. Their amber beer and mai tai capped off the meal. Service was excellent and our experience was positive overall. Remember that it's a touristy town so lots of families and noisy kids. We'll be back to try more items.

Stopped by Mist to have a cocktail with a view. It's been a few years since our last visit, but I…read moreremembered the bar area being nice with tables overlooking the beach. We arrived early on a Saturday afternoon and were told we could seat ourselves anywhere in the bar, so we snagged the best table with a great view. I couldn't believe that a restaurant so close to Surftides and right on the ocean has such an impressively affordable drink menu--I mean, seriously, where do you get a $10 Old Fashioned these days? The bartender came over quickly and took our order for two Old Fashioneds and a bowl of chowder. Upon delivering the drinks, she mentioned she was new and wasn't sure if she'd made them exactly right. They were actually good! She just missed the cherry and orange essence, but for $10, I'm certainly not complaining. The clam chowder, however, was the star of the show. Seriously, it's the best clam chowder in Lincoln City right now. I am picky and not easily impressed, but this was perfect. It was clearly fresh--rich and velvety without being pasty or like 'sipping on gravy.' The clams were tender and provided a perfect balance of rich texture and delicate, briny flavor. We will definitely be regulars whenever I need a chowder fix!

First time we went here for lunch, they seated us at a two top next to the window. Seats are hard and uncomfortable. Their menu isn't vegan friendly. I ended up ordering the BLTA wrap without the bacon or mayo. My carnivore friend gladly asked that my bacon be on the side and added it to her club sandwich. The wrap was ok, at home I would have added my sauces to make it delicious. (After I got home, it inspired me to go to grocery store to get things to make at home!) I got an iced tea, my friend got a Sauvignon Blanc. The service was ok, not overly friendly. We returned for dinner because I didn't want to drive, and it was too windy to walk anywhere. They tried to seat us near the window in the uncomfortable chairs and the sun was really bright. I asked if we could sit in a booth where the seats were more cushy and away from the brightness. They were happy to accommodate. My friend ordered a steak, and she asked what the seasonal vegetable was. The waiter wasn't understanding her question. Then he was asking her a question, and we couldn't understand what he was asking. Finally I figured it out. He was asking if she wanted salad or cup of chowder, and I voiced it, she chose salad. Later when he brought her the salad, he brought a bowl of chowder and started to put it in front of me. And I said I didn't order that, and he said it's ok, and I said I didn't want it. I got a pasta dish. I also ordered a diet Coke. My friend ordered Sauvignon Blanc. Later after I finished the diet Coke, waiter asked if I would like a refill, and I said yes that would be great. My friend asked for a box to take the rest of her steak. And then asked for another glass of wine. He came back with her glass of wine, but no diet Coke for me, no box. A little while later, the hostess came and asked how things were and my friend asked for box. I thought the waiter was working on the diet Coke. Nothing. So I flagged another waitress for the box and I told her that he never brought my diet Coke. But we were getting ready to leave, could we get the check and the diet Coke to go. She came back with the check and a box and diet Coke in a glass. So I said we are getting ready to leave, can I get the diet Coke in a to go container. She didn't understand and just took the diet Coke away. Oh well.
