It was very late when we got into town. Not many places still open. Mo's was for 1 more hour but based on their yelp ratings we were actually not expecting much. We are so glad we came. As we were coming in a ton of people were done with their dinner and leaving. They all seemed happy and in a good mood so maybe this Mo's wasn't so bad. We got seated right away. Most tables have views of the water. Unfortunately, we got just a peek before it was dark. Brad was our server and he rocked it. I was feeling like a sandwich and asked what he recommended. He said he loved the Hot shrimp Melt...interesting but I agreed to try it. Omg it was delicious. Their clam chowder was real good too! My daughter had the bay shrimp fettuccine Alfredo which she said was amazing! My husband decided on the combination plate and liked it. So our other daughter arrived a couple of days later and guess where we went again! Very unusual because we like trying new places but after telling her how much we loved it, she wanted to try it too. Guess what, I got the hot shrimp melt again! My husband decided out of the combo plate he loved the clam strips the best and order that. We had more clam chower. We had amazing service again! Mo's made us into a fan! Can't wait to come back!

Mo's is always a staple place to go when visiting the coast. Their clam chowder was pretty good as always. The fish and chips were not bad. I prefer the beer batter fish since it's airy but this was good too. Service was pretty quick even though it was a holiday. The location was next to the beach so it was a relaxing time.

Not a long wait at all. We went later in the day about an hour before closing. We got a table and drinks right away. Edson was our amazing waiter, who was friendly and fast with our drinks and food. Honestly I haven't had MO's in over 5 years maybe longer and I have to say it was a great experience! We'll be back again!

Honestly after coming here for 30 years it never disappoints. We only had about 45 minutes for lunch. We sat, we ordered and we ate our food! The chowder with shrimp and the combination platter with shrimp coleslaw was a solid 5. And this is why we keep coming back. Thomas was a friendly and fast server TYSM!!

Love coming to Mo's! The atmosphere is always great, staff always friendly, and food rarely disappoints. Our server was so friendly, even when I had a miscommunication with my meal, she took care of it promptly and I was really thankful. I got the shrimp grilled cheese, though I'm glad I tried something new, it's not something I would get again. The bread was great but there was no other flavor, it needed some sauce or something to help enhance it and not just a fishy taste. Location is great, overlooks the bay and overall a great time.

Mos is an Oregon coast classic. We enjoyed lunch. The food was decent, limited selection and no good vegetarian options available. I would recommend having the garlic bread as an add on! My biggest issue was that none of their seats had backs. All seating was uncomfortable wooden benches.

Visited on a Saturday after lunch and enjoyed the chowder and shrimp crab salad -- both good! If you plan your visit around the busy times, you can skip the long lines. We went at 11 a.m. on a Sunday ( during the rainy off-season of fall) and got right in. When we left at noon, it was starting to fill up. The location can't be beat -- right on the water, full of natural light, and all the coastal charm. Chowder was consistently good, the garlic bread was crispy and tasty, and both the seating host guy and our server were friendly. No complaints here. Cons: I know it can get busy and that it's not the cheapest place around (like the cabbage shrimp salad has just a tiny bit of shrimp), but it was a good meal and the place is iconic.

Make sure your here at the right time, there can be e a line and when it is cold, well clam chowder will be required.

YELP SHORT ANSWER: Yes, this is a must stop if you're a local or a tourist but set your EXPECTATIONS correctly. This is an icon BRAND AND LOCATION that has been the same since I was a kid, always good. LOCATION: Perfect spot. Walk on the beach, freeze your oysters off and then come in and get a warm bowl of chowder. FACILITY: Excellent, it is what it is, is what it has been, and hopefully will remain the same even as younger people seem to expect something different. The negative here reviews crack me up. MENU: Seems traditional enough and everything one could ask for at the Oregon Coast. I believe the Mo's are not all under the same management or ownership, so each location may off us something a little different. This one is great. FOOD PREP: Prefect for what it is, this is an Oregon Coast beach food restaurant, not the French Laundry. FOOD QUALITY: For what it is, it is great. Maybe fried food is not my thing but I don't downgrade them because it is their thing and thousands of other people enjoy it. WAITSTAFF: Super fast, great communication, polite, and respectful. OVERALL VALUE: The BEST! just enjoy where you are lucky enough to be dining. Take it as an overall experience not just a food in your piehole kind of thing. TIP: This place gets super busy with people stressed out because they are on vacation (?) and they don't understand why they have to wait in line, don't be that person please. Get there early but don't expect to get a table of you drive by and see a line. Usually if the line is outside it is about a 20 minute wait but worth it.

We have been to all the Mo's Restaurants but they are not all the same. This one is top notch, food was above average but after all you go for the experience. A super location, beautiful views, nice souvenirs and food was hot and enjoyed the meal.

It's been a few years since our last visit but it all seems about the same. Sunday night and the longest day of the year means a lot of people out on the coast for vacation and site-seeing. The beach was busy and there was lots of traffic in town despite the weekenders having gone back to Portland. We waited for a short 9 minutes to sit down and then another 15 or so for our waitress to take our order. She did stop by and acknowledge that we were there and that she would finish a big table and be right there. She was nice and had a smile and I admired that given the crowds. We ordered and our food and it came quickly after that. I think she expedited our order ahead of the 10 top that got seated ahead of us or at least I want to think so. The clam chowder was buttery and delicious. The shrimp platter was good and as I expected it. I had a coffee and water and it was $26 out the door. We spent another $26 on something for our dog sitter and the entire experience very was about 45 minutes. Honestly, I think if they moved to a self order and self pay QR code system for small tables of four or less, people would get their food sooner and fewer people dining and dashing and tables would turn sooner. It's a quirky place and full of tourists. I doubt that the locals eat here much but I could be wrong. Lots of parking and no empty tables. Also, this is a great place for 10 tops.

Everything was on par! The view of the ocean, the kind and timely service, and food tasted fresh and delicious! Would definitely recommend stopping for some yummy seafood of you can!

This was my 3rd clam chowder stop on my most recent Oregon Coast trip. I have been to Mo's plenty of times before so nothing much was a surprise. Although, I didn't remember or didn't expect the clam chowder to have a grainy texture to it. Don't get me wrong, it was still good. Being a Monday night in non-peak season, it was thankfully, not as busy and noisy. When it's busy, it's busy! A trip to the coast isn't a trip without a stop at Mo's.

Ask the Community - Mo's Seafood & Chowder

Do they serve steamer clams with garlic?

Steamed clams for sure with Chardonnay and butter. Not sure about the garlic.

    Do they do birthday dessert?

I'd say to call them and ask...

Does Mo's do "to go" for their menu items at the Lincoln City location? We'll be traveling with our dog and won't be able to eat inside the restaurant.

    Yes they will

As you drive up you cannot help to notice the red building with a classic Old Cafe sign off HWY 101. They have a unique story, the original Otis Cafe was located in the City of Otis in the 1920s, named after the Post masters nephew. They have ample parking in their own private lot, as you walk up to the building and the main entrance, they have outdoor seating. Key finding, depending the time you arrive you may be waiting a bit to get in, they seem to be very popular with good reason. Once inside you will notice a very open seating area, with various booths and table seating options. They make fresh bread, we could not resist we took home a loaf of homemade bread it was very tasty. The staff greet you as you walk in, it has a very friendly vibe, the staff cycle through the building repeatedly checking in with its customers throughout your visit. The food options are plentiful, also note their portions are huge. We finally decided on an Omelette with veggies and ham, with a side of bacon and German potatoes with wheat sourdough. We also ordered the French toast with Fruit, an egg, another huge portion of food ample for two or three. The food was served warm, to our options and extremely tasty. The bacon was huge, well cooked, the Omelette and potatoes were perfectly cooked, I really enjoyed the Omelette and bacon. We are still working through the French toast, we took 3/4 of it home with us. Some recommendations, review the menu, be ready to order they are fairly busy and turn tables quickly. This is a must try spot during your next visit to Lincoln City.

A one-hour wait in the middle of the week is kind of crazy, even in summer, but the food usually makes it worth it. Our server was absolutely wonderful -- friendly, attentive, and just easy to like. I ordered the scallops, and I am not kidding when I say they were some of the biggest scallops I have ever seen. They were cooked beautifully -- incredibly tender and succulent. I do wish they had a little more flavor, and the risotto was probably my least favorite part of the plate, but honestly, it was all about those scallops anyway. We also ordered the Oysters Rockefeller. They were good, but they were LOADED. There was so much bacon and topping on them that the oyster itself almost disappeared. At one point it felt more like a bacon shooter than an oyster. Still good though and we definitely ate them. Kyllo's is busy for a reason. We'll be back, just like we always are when we come to the coast.

And wait we did - about 45 minutes to be seated. By the time we sat down, I was starving and ready to order immediately. I had the Benedict Florentine, my friend ordered the seafood omelet but substituted salmon for the seafood (for an additional charge), and we split the French toast. Despite how packed the restaurant was, our food came out surprisingly quickly. What impressed me just as much as the food was the service. Our waitress was also hosting, yet somehow remained incredibly kind, attentive, and on top of everything. She checked on us several times, and the bussers were just as wonderful - clearing plates and refilling water without us ever having to ask. You could tell this was a well-run operation where everyone worked together. Now, THE BREAD. Oh. My. Gosh. I am not a big bread person. I can go months without eating it and not think twice. But whatever bread they served with my Benedict Florentine was OUT OF THIS WORLD. So light, soft, and delicious that I genuinely don't know what they did to it. Put an entire loaf in front of me and all bets are off. You've been warned. Everyone raves about the French toast, and yes, it was very good - but honestly? The bread itself impressed me so much that part of me thought it was almost a shame to toast it! Between the beautiful setting, great food, and a staff that handled an incredibly busy morning with such ease, Wildflower Grill was absolutely worth the wait. Definitely one to check out while you're in Lincoln City!
