Mos is an Oregon coast classic. We enjoyed lunch. The food was decent, limited selection and no good vegetarian options available. I would recommend having the garlic bread as an add on! My biggest issue was that none of their seats had backs. All seating was uncomfortable wooden benches.

Visited on a Saturday after lunch and enjoyed the chowder and shrimp crab salad -- both good! If you plan your visit around the busy times, you can skip the long lines. We went at 11 a.m. on a Sunday ( during the rainy off-season of fall) and got right in. When we left at noon, it was starting to fill up. The location can't be beat -- right on the water, full of natural light, and all the coastal charm. Chowder was consistently good, the garlic bread was crispy and tasty, and both the seating host guy and our server were friendly. No complaints here. Cons: I know it can get busy and that it's not the cheapest place around (like the cabbage shrimp salad has just a tiny bit of shrimp), but it was a good meal and the place is iconic.

Make sure your here at the right time, there can be e a line and when it is cold, well clam chowder will be required.

YELP SHORT ANSWER: Yes, this is a must stop if you're a local or a tourist but set your EXPECTATIONS correctly. This is an icon BRAND AND LOCATION that has been the same since I was a kid, always good. LOCATION: Perfect spot. Walk on the beach, freeze your oysters off and then come in and get a warm bowl of chowder. FACILITY: Excellent, it is what it is, is what it has been, and hopefully will remain the same even as younger people seem to expect something different. The negative here reviews crack me up. MENU: Seems traditional enough and everything one could ask for at the Oregon Coast. I believe the Mo's are not all under the same management or ownership, so each location may off us something a little different. This one is great. FOOD PREP: Prefect for what it is, this is an Oregon Coast beach food restaurant, not the French Laundry. FOOD QUALITY: For what it is, it is great. Maybe fried food is not my thing but I don't downgrade them because it is their thing and thousands of other people enjoy it. WAITSTAFF: Super fast, great communication, polite, and respectful. OVERALL VALUE: The BEST! just enjoy where you are lucky enough to be dining. Take it as an overall experience not just a food in your piehole kind of thing. TIP: This place gets super busy with people stressed out because they are on vacation (?) and they don't understand why they have to wait in line, don't be that person please. Get there early but don't expect to get a table of you drive by and see a line. Usually if the line is outside it is about a 20 minute wait but worth it.

We have been to all the Mo's Restaurants but they are not all the same. This one is top notch, food was above average but after all you go for the experience. A super location, beautiful views, nice souvenirs and food was hot and enjoyed the meal.

It's been a few years since our last visit but it all seems about the same. Sunday night and the longest day of the year means a lot of people out on the coast for vacation and site-seeing. The beach was busy and there was lots of traffic in town despite the weekenders having gone back to Portland. We waited for a short 9 minutes to sit down and then another 15 or so for our waitress to take our order. She did stop by and acknowledge that we were there and that she would finish a big table and be right there. She was nice and had a smile and I admired that given the crowds. We ordered and our food and it came quickly after that. I think she expedited our order ahead of the 10 top that got seated ahead of us or at least I want to think so. The clam chowder was buttery and delicious. The shrimp platter was good and as I expected it. I had a coffee and water and it was $26 out the door. We spent another $26 on something for our dog sitter and the entire experience very was about 45 minutes. Honestly, I think if they moved to a self order and self pay QR code system for small tables of four or less, people would get their food sooner and fewer people dining and dashing and tables would turn sooner. It's a quirky place and full of tourists. I doubt that the locals eat here much but I could be wrong. Lots of parking and no empty tables. Also, this is a great place for 10 tops.

This was my 3rd clam chowder stop on my most recent Oregon Coast trip. I have been to Mo's plenty of times before so nothing much was a surprise. Although, I didn't remember or didn't expect the clam chowder to have a grainy texture to it. Don't get me wrong, it was still good. Being a Monday night in non-peak season, it was thankfully, not as busy and noisy. When it's busy, it's busy! A trip to the coast isn't a trip without a stop at Mo's.

The view from this Mo's was beautiful as it overlooks the ocean from most any seat inside. The service was pretty good and our server was attentive. The food itself is alright, for the price you pay it's not too bad. I got the chicken fettuccini alfredo which tasted kinda similar to when I make it at home. I also ordered a bowl of the clam chowder which was good but was lacking slightly in the overall level of flavor present. I will admit that I was quite a fan of the drip coffee that was served and feel that the overall price point for the menu items is definitely fair! Overall, this restaurant is not a bad option if you are looking for a casual spot to sit down with friends or family, especially if they're fans of seafood and not from around the area.

Always fantastic food, service, and the ambiance is a great view and the decoration are awesome to look at.

It's not bad if I could it would be a 3.5. The chowder is pretty good. Service is always excellent. The shrimp and that kind of stuff is ok. Just like any other deep fried shrimp. If I was to rate anything the chowder would be a 4.5. It's worth a stop. If you are looking for quick and easy.

Not only fast but great service. The restaurant was bustling and busy. It we were seated very quickly in a great location. Food was exceptional and no complaints. Definitely will be back in my next trip to the coast.

Ask the Community - Mo's Seafood & Chowder

Do they serve steamer clams with garlic?

Steamed clams for sure with Chardonnay and butter. Not sure about the garlic.

Do they do birthday dessert?

I'd say to call them and ask...

Does Mo's do "to go" for their menu items at the Lincoln City location? We'll be traveling with our dog and won't be able to eat inside the restaurant.

Yes they will

We had calamari as an appetizer. It was average though the aioli was very good. My GF had the crab cakes. There were two of them and she rated them average. She did like the sweet potato fries they came with. I had the halibut fish tacos. They had large pieces of fish and lots of cabbage. The dressing was bland, but the fish was good. A little messy to eat. I also had a side of fries. Their amber beer and mai tai capped off the meal. Service was excellent and our experience was positive overall. Remember that it's a touristy town so lots of families and noisy kids. We'll be back to try more items.

I'd rate this overall a 8.8/10. The crab cakes and steak were both house made and very fresh. The steak was perfectly made and bursting with flavor, (T-bone pictured). The side salad was heaping and great to share. The french onion was flavorful but we added some salt and pepper for ourselves. The potatoes bravas were *not* papas bravas and more like breakfast potatoes so if you're craving tapas like potatoes, I would advise considering abstaining from ordering, perhaps.
