Nice trail. Very short though. Wish there was a way to get to it without having to walk across the highway.

$120 for rinky-dink Mountain really!? Even if the lodge was updated, even if there was more…read morevertical, it still wouldn't be worth $120. Not only that it says on the website $59 on Tuesdays, but not on a holiday. Presidents' Day is a one day holiday, so how's the whole week a holiday season. I don't care if schools are off they should not be reneging on their promises of $59 day pass passes. We came expecting to pay that price. I complained to at least three people. Nobody offered me any recourse. Not only that they've gone cashless which excludes people who don't have credit cards. Plus, you can only buy tickets online so there's no way around to even talk to. They have some guys wandering around a jackets that can help you process their overpriced tickets, but no booth no manager no nothing. It's icy, crappy and I'm not coming back ever. I'd rather ski somewhere else if I'm gonna pay this kind of money. If you're gonna ski a small central to Western New York mountain; keep heading west to the skiing over by Buffalo the snow but better anyway.

As a complete beginner, I was a bit of a physical hazard on the slopes - picture me sliding down the hill in sheer terror (stopped in the middle and had a panic attack), sometimes sitting (laying is more accurate) in the snow, utterly immobilized by my unwieldy penguin-like flippers. Despite my less-than-graceful attempts, I miraculously managed to avoid any serious collisions. Though I'm obviously not ready to tackle the intimidating black diamond runs (seriously scary), I genuinely enjoyed my time at Greek Peak. From the get-go, Greek Peak made a positive impression. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning snow-covered landscapes and a well-maintained facility. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient, offering help when I was stuck in between a crevice :,) Perhaps any mountain resort would do the same but it was fun and everything went smoothly!

The rental includes a helmet and bike lock. I'm more comfortable riding a tricycle at home for running errands, but Laurence was very patient as I became re-accustomed to riding a two-wheeler, helping me find a bike that was the right size for me, adjusting the seat and handle bars, and walking me through how to charge the bike and use the electric throttle. The electric motor was very helpful as I rode around Itacha's steep hills. All in all, the rental process was easy and the bike was fantastic!

Though I've only tested the rental bikes (including electric!) I haven't needed to rent one as I have my own--but such a great option for people visiting town, especially now with the Cayuga Waterfront Trail and other bicycle infrastructure that make conditions here better. People are newer to biking, especially those with kids, surely appreciate these improvements. When I have had one of my two bicycles serviced there (numerous times by now) the turnover time is quick and the prices are reasonable. I'm taking my winter bike in to Boxy Bikes tomorrow for some service before that road salt comes out! A great, reliable Local Bike Shop!

Review for the D&H rail trail from the PA-NY state line to Carbondale, PA…read more The D&H rail line runs N-S through NE PA and provides scenic view of rural PA. I had the chance to ride it on 6/12/21, and found tge trail to be unimproved and rugged from Lanesboro to Thompson; below Thompson, tge trail improves to Uniondale, and becomes improved packed fine gravel to Forest City and beyond. My 29x3.0 Trek was the perfect t rig for riding the rugged portions of the trail. A gravel bike would have been a slower go through the northern portion, but would have been perfect below Uniondale. Standard mountain bike would have sufficed also. The trail will take you through deep forests, along open rolling farm land, scenic towns, and remote lakes. Deer, birds, turtles, and rabbits were my main companions for tge first 20 miles; only saw two human hikers 10 miles in and a runner at mile 15 and 4 bikers at 20. This is remote, rural, and spectacular! No amenities until Uniondale, where Cable's Deli offers excellent sandwiches, baked goods, and deli items. A caboose and adorandak chairs provide a scenic stopping spot. More food is available in Forest City and Carbindale. But there is no water north of Uniondale, so be prepared! Only gripe is that trail marking signs are somewhat lacking below Lanesboro, and some trial and error was necessary to find the trail where trails and roads merged...but it is easy enough to find. Absolutely a favorite if you like a day of rural running or bike trekking!
