Server Her name is Krystal, she's nice but she seems busy. Ambiance Its a 50's type diner with decent prices. Food Disappointed. I asked for my turkey bacon to be well cooked. It was not, then sent back, still not how I asked for it. The owner/manager asked if it was correct, said no. She said they should deep fry it. Which is what I asked for when I ordered it. The barbako skillet was excellent. The turkey Swiss avocado sandwich was good. Overall Not sure... eggs were prepared exactly as requested, sandwich was quite good. Apparently, they can't or wont cook turkey bacon correct. The third time, when they made it the way I asked was good. Old-school charm, great food, and even better memories! What an incredible place to grab lunch... or breakfast! Our group of five former co-workers met here for lunch to catch up and share some good memories, and this spot was a huge hit. We were seated right away and greeted with a friendly smile and menus. Our waitress came over quickly to take our orders, and before long, our food arrived hot and fresh. Service was excellent from start to finish. This was my second visit -- my first time I had the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, which was an absolute winner. Highly recommend! This visit I debated between breakfast or lunch but went with the Philly Cheesesteak. While it wasn't Pat's or Tony Luke's, it was still solid -- great bun, though I wouldn't have minded a little more meat. My wife went with the Chicken Tenders, and they were a big hit -- crispy, juicy, and way more than she could finish (hello, to-go box!). Bonus points for serving Pepsi products -- double win in our book! One of my co-workers ordered the Chicken and Waffles, and I'll admit... I had a little order envy when it arrived. The rest of the table enjoyed the BLT, Chicken Fried Steak, and Cheeseburger, all of which earned rave reviews. A Broken Arrow institution, introduced to us by the friends that we are visiting. When I had told Greg that we were going to Oklahoma, he asked if we were going to try the fried pies. I learned from our friends that this is more of a flea market thing. So we were content with another Oklahoma specialty, a tender pork in a crunchy batter, like a milanesa or a chicken fried steak. It did not disappoint here. And those rolls. Perfectly fluffy and delicious and I wish I had their recipe. Whatever you end up ordering, do get some rolls also. The menu features two shawarma offerings, making me wonder if the owners are Lebanese, Iraqi, Palestinian? Would be interesting to find out. Looking around at the breakfast menu default of other diners, it looks like there isn't one bad thing that they make here. I cannot wait to return. read more

My husband has gone here on Veterans Day for two years and has gotten a free meal. They are so patriotic and it's nice to see. The inside is very clean with great decor and packed with people almost every time we go there. It feels cozy and the staff are so attentive and hospitable. It feels as if they know me and my family. The food was great too! I loved the grits! It has the best breakfast in Broken Arrow. My parents came for a visit and my dad loved their liver and onions. Parking had overflowed in to adjoining businesses. If you are going to eat here on Saturday, go very early or after 10 am. We walked in the at 9:30; the place was packed. A beehive of activity. Fortunately, a group of 8 or more local firefighters were finishing and we got a table. The restaurant is well staffed with a team of friendly cheerful attentive ladies. They worked well together to keep things moving as if rehearsed. Regardless of who your initial waiter was they will all stop by to check on you. The restaurant is small. When crowded like today, a collision involving waitresses with arms loaded with plates, seemed inevitable. Never happened, they flowed smoothly back and forth to the kitchen like a school of fish. Great service. I had selected five of Google's top rated diners in the Tulsa area for this morning's meal. Deciding came down to one thing; which restaurant had the best looking hashbrowns. 50's diner had the winning picture of what diner hash brown should look like. I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the "All American with Meat." Two eggs, bacon, hash browns, a biscuit and gravy. I didn't realize how hungry I was, until the plate was clean. My wife chose the bacon omelet with the seasoned fried potatoes. She loved the meal. Check the pictures. They have a great deal for breakfast during the week. Two eggs, two bacon, hashbrowns, biscuit and gravy for $7.99, served weekdays from 6am to 8am. You can't eat a meal at McDonalds that good, for that price, with service. I do not know how this establishment has a 4.0 rating! This was my first time to this restaurant as I'm new to Oklahoma! The restaurant is clean, cute atmosphere. The food is mediocre at best. $31 for our meal and it wasn't worth that much! Order the chilie cheese burger and the Steak Philly. French fries were hot, the rest just blah. The Philly was overly salt and tasted more like a tri-tip. The chili was bland and extremely thick. Mediocre food. Waitress came by once. She was friendly but not overly. Very friendly, very delicious breakfast. I had the chili omelette with hashbrowns and a biscuit and gravy. The biscuits were definitely homemade and so light and fluffy they we're almost fragile. The biscuit is split in half and each half is lightly toasted on the exposed side which was a really nice touch. The chili is real chili, meaning Texas and Oklahoma chili does not have beans while Midwest and eastern chili does have beans. This is true Oklahoma-Texas chili over the omelette. It was delicious. The waitress was friendly and could adjust to any topping or variation from the menu. The diner's look and feel made everything comfortable and relaxed. What a wonderful place found by accident. Brenda the waitress is fabulous, so nice , and food was out within minutes. They have a senior menu also... I had the scrambled eggs, sausage , biscuits and gravy... coffee is good... the pancakes were sweet and different.. they do have sugar free syrup. All pies are home made and less than five dollars a slice. Parking lot nice.. only recommendation would be for them to redo the windows shades... lol... we will be making this a regular stop! Cool place, friendly staff. Senior menu. A lot of the customers seemed to be regulars. We got there right at noon and allowed to seat ourselves in a booth by the window. We both ordered off the senior menu because we weren't really all that hungry. She got the Senor Cheeseburger which was the perfect size and came with slaw that was okay (not as good as Goldies) for $7.99. I got the 2X2X2 which is 2 large pancakes, 2 bacon strips and 2 over-easy eggs. It was good for $7.99. We both got unsweetened iced tea ($2.89). Tab came to $23.59. They have more than just breakfast and I look forward to coming back and trying lunch. read more

Even though they've been busy every time we went, we always were able to get a table right away. The menu has plenty of he old standards like chicken fried steak, which is huge, pork chops, fried chicken and liver and onions, plus plenty of omelets and other breakfast goodies, and some more contemporary items like avocado toast, fried pickles, and even deep fried green beans. We were always pleased with everything we've ordered. Speaking of avocado toast - it's actually guacamole on the toast instead of mashed avocado, but still a good dish. Just mentioning it so you won't be surprised if you order it. The portions are generous, and the food is always fresh. I've never been able to clean my plate, even though everything was delicious. The name is not misleading, this place is a time capsule - from the checkered floors to the fact that they highly discourage the use of cell phones. I had the fajita chicken omelet and it was pretty outstanding. It was prepared more like a scramble than a proper omelet, but it's not like anyone's eating an omelet with their hands so who cares? The spicy chili sauce served with the omelet was my favorite part. I was immediately transported to a brisk Chimayan morning in New Mexico (i.e. southwestern af). If they bottled that sauce, I'd have brought it home with me. No WiFi by design. I found the message refreshing, and I would have even "call[ed] my mom" had she not been sitting right next to me. The cheeseburger is appropriately greasy and tasty. The menu was very full and made the choice hard. I decided the true test was a cheeseburger and fries. The fries arrived with firm potato centers. They were way undercooked. It was not just my order but my wife and daughter had the same issue. We sent them back and awaited fresh fries whole our food grew cold. The next order of fries were only slightly more cooked. I concluded The cook cannot get the fries right. I do not plan to return. read more

My husband and I frequent this establishment, so for me to write this is bitter sweet. We have never had issues. Until a couple of weeks ago. We ate there for breakfast on a Saturday. They were busy as to be expected, however we were seated right away. Hostess not very personal. Took a few moments to get a server to us to get drinks, then order. I ordered my guilty pleasure of a Monte Cristo. Love this sandwich when done right. My husband ordered a skillet of some kind. Once my food came I was so disappointed to see it was just the French toast they use for breakfast with ham and cheese melted in it. It was not deep fried or served with preserves. So to me it was extra soggy (French toast) and once I realized what it was the meal was not the same. The cheese didn't really go with French toast. And syrup didn't go with the Cristo part that was missing. And it was not very hot. I mention it to the server and I was told this is their take on a Monte Cristo. My husband's skillet looked good he said it was a tad cool for his liking. Overall this is one experience and I should not judge on one time. I just hope it gets better soon. And the staff starts having better happier days!! We will hold off on visiting for a bit. read more

I've been to this place a couple times and they always offer great valued specials. The environment is delightfully 50s throwback and is packed in the morning with all sorts of folks...especially the generation loving the 50s! The owner is on site and very kind. They are also veteran friendly which I appreciate. I've only tried breakfast there so can't judge the dinner fare. I did not particularly care for the bacon the both times that I attended. My kids opted for the turkey bacon which was much tastier than mine. The eggs were pretty flavorless though you get a very large portion of them. The pancakes are big and thick but I can't say that they were very tasty. The syrup lacked flavor too. Strange. I wish I had a better review for this place because I want it to succeed.
