Listen, I'm an easy to please guy, who would never tarnish a brand or in this case, a restaurants name in any way but this is one I've been holding onto for quite sometime. I live across the street and always go to Martins but on one particular morning a few months back me and a girl i was talking to decided to give old town a shot. I had what I believe is called the "truckers special" which I asked for sunny side eggs and wheat toast on the side. My friend got the same exact thing. The food took way to long, and going off the volume in the restaurant it didn't make sense since it was dead in there. When the waitress came, I had scrambled eggs, and white bread which was fine again I'm not one to complain.. food was run of the mill, definitely not martins, more like something I could make at home. But what the one star is about, is from the waitress who never disclosed her name. When me and my friend were through I looked to see where the waitress was an when I looked, she and her server friend were pointing at me... The young blonde waitress slapped the bill on the table disgruntled, and went on to lean towards me and say " I know you were the one who came here to eat a few weeks ago, and took off without paying" I belted out laughing thinking she had to of been joking but before I could let her know she had the wrong guy she told me she didn't care what I had to say, and that I should just pay and go. Which I did.. and the guy that I am, I left a 20 dollar tip, on a 20 dollar bill, and waltzed out of that place, and will never, I repeat, never will be back again. That is single handily the most disrespectful/ignorant comment I've ever heard out of a restaurant employees mouth. Maybe because I'm 23 she just thought I was some younger buzzard who dropped in and did her wrong but she must have felt like a fool when she realized I wasn't the right guy. Screw the "fresh squeezed orange juice" because there's nothing sour enough to get that taste out of my mouth. GO MARTINS!! read more

The food it's fresh, well done and the staff even better . The orange juice it's fresh squeeze and tasty great . The omelets are my favorite meal besides the banana pancake . You will love it ! Fresh Squeezed OJ - Would go back for this alone. Coffee was good and quickly refreshed. Breakfast came out in a timely manner with no issues. The meals were not greasy and perfectly seasoned. For two breakfast with the oj, the price was a bit high at $38, plus tip. We did get two side orders so it's not surprising. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone in the local area. read more

I took my son here for breakfast today. We sat at the counter which he thought was the coolest thing ever. Our server was super nice and polite! The food was awesome. He had fresh squeezed orange juice from the "juice machine" that he thought was awesome and he had Mickey pancakes and bacon that were both perfect. I had two eggs OE, corned beef has which was fantastic, great home fries with sautéed onions, and wheat toast. Now I've eaten plenty of good and bad breakfasts in my life but this was quality! I highly recommend it and can't wait to eat there again. Thanks for a great experience. Visited OTC multiple times since this post and we have always had an A+ experience. My boyfriend and I live right down the street and usually stop into Martin's for breakfast but decided to try Old Town as we hadn't been there since Morrell's left. It is really nice and clean and cozy inside. Food is excellent every time we go. All the servers are friendly and fast. They even have a cool automatic orange juicer so you know the juice is fresh! Last time we went my breakfast came with pancakes and she offered to give me pumpkin ones. Yum! The two of us always leave full for under 20 bucks. read more

Started off great. Plenty of staff waiting on the customer surge. Got steak eggs. Not a fan of marinated TIPS in the AM. Feels like Supper. Meal was 7 outta 10! Service../// ehhhh.. not so much. I asked for 2 sodas from the jump... Got one. I do that so as to avoid what exactly happened. Medical issues prevents me from eating w/out washing down with drink. That's on me... I did have 3 separate staffers offer to refill my coffee, Including my waitress. That's when I asked her for my second soda. Right away sir. Then 11 minutes later still nothing, so I had to leave my meal on the table. I left to bill payment on the table and I left. I have never left less than $10.00 for a breakfast tip. I had to leave those delicious looking home fries wheat toast and some of my over easy's which broke my spirit. This is one of the few times my tip reflected service. I am under no illusions how truly difficult the waitress staff job is. Yes, however it was not one of those times. I would say each of the 405 waitresses had either one or two tables they were serving.I've cooked for a lot of years and I was actually going to ask about an open position for the line cook but I could not in good conscience do that. Not because of this incident of the service, but because The tip reflection is something that is personal and has hardly ever forgotten. We were driving around looking for a place to eat. When we stumbled onto this quaint feel at home kind of restaurant! I'm in the business and was very...may i say it again VERY impressed with how well the staff all worked together. They looked like a beautiful orchestra of helping their customers keeping coffee cups full as well as each other! The kitchen is somewhat visible and I noticed that the chef had a hat on and the sous chef had a hair net on! Huge plus in my eyes! Then the food came out and we were blown away! Our waitress AMY was the best! I haven't been this impressed with a restaurant in a long time! A great local hangout...oh and most importantly of all they make FRESH squeezed orange juice! This is an awesome low-key breakfast spot. I know a lot of the people that work there, and they're all very friendly. Old Town is a comfortable and welcoming restaurant. The food is outstanding and delicious. The food is fast. Also if you love potatoes this is the restaurant for you potato heaven. The have different lunch specials now and then. Chicken Parm is exquisite and I would recommend it to anyone who has a thing for pasta. Old Town Cafe is a great place to get breakfast or lunch on Route 139 in Abington. It offers a wide variety of choices such as eggs, bacon, sausage, a variety of omelets, and any reasonable type of pancake. Any meal you order will be tasty, filling, and low priced. It is a family owned business and the servers there are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. When I went to Old Town Cafe, I was very impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of the waitress. I ordered Breakfast #1, which consists of two pancakes, two pieces of toast, home fries, two sausages, four strips of bacon, and three eggs. The meal cost $6.95, and I was impressed with how much food I would receive for such a price, assuming the food was good. The Cafe did not disappoint. Every piece of the meal was delicious; I do not believe I have had a better version of anything in that breakfast anywhere else. The OTC also stands out because they offer real maple syrup at no extra charge no matter what you order. I will certainly be back, and I recommend that you visit as well read more

One visit and I knew I found a new favorite for breakfast or lunch. They are open for dinner on Fridays only. Friendly helpful staff, prompt service, delicious fresh homemade food, very clean. Anything you order you will not be disappointed. Yum!! The ladies room was quite a pleasant surprise. Very clean and beautiful. It's something you would see in a high end restaurant. New fav breakfast spot. 5 stars are for the service, venue, menu, and food! This may not be gourmet quality food but if you're looking for an "old fashioned" quality local breakfast spot...this is it. My husband always orders the Irish Benedict with their homemade corned beef hash, poached eggs and hollandaise. Very tasty homefries come with it and mine...I usually get the veggie frittata with a side of hash. Pretty tasty hash, and we've tried a lot of hash. Nothing is super greasy, which can be hard to find. Big portions. Fresh squeezed orange juice is also yum. Always on time with coffee and drink refills and really friendly staff. I think they've recently updated the interior and they have cool iPads now and can take your order electronically. Anyway, a great local spot for a Saturday morning breakfast :-) family friendly too. We've never had to wait but we usually go sat morning around 9 and it's just the two of us. But we've see other ppl have to wait - not for very long though. read more

Eggs Benedict is gross. One of my favorite meals and it was seriously lacking flavor. The eggs were hard and small, the sauce was tasteless and the English muffin was burnt to a crisp. I will be back to uncle Charlie's for the Eggs benny in the future. read more

Went here for the first time a couple weekends ago for breakfast . Was seated right away and service was polite and prompt. Atmosphere was ok, clean and basic breakfast café style. I had the French toast, it was good. Girlfriend had the banana nut pancakes and they were very delicious. Will definitely be back again. read more
