Old town Pizza serves pizza by the slice, and I've always wanted to try this place after driving by it on Rte 59 so many times. Finally in a Saturday, we stopped in to grab lunch to-go. There were a few pizzas on their rotating oven, but the man behind the counter said that sausage was on its way, fresh out of the oven if we were okay with waiting a few minutes, so we did! We also ordered some boneless wings. Our lunch, for 2 adults (about $21 total): boneless buffalo wings 1 slice of sausage 1 slice of sausage + 1 liter of soft drink Their single slices are $4 each, and they have combos for pizza plus a drink e.g. pizza plus a can or plus a liter ($5-7 bucks). They had Pepsi or Mountain Dew in their fridge. Old Town Pizza serves no nonsense, fresh, quality food! Their pizza crust for their single slices is thiccck and it was so filling. Lots of cheese for the cheese lovers out there. I got a side of marinara bc once I got to the crust, it became breadsticks that I could dunk into the sauce. (Pro tip!) My husband's loves locally owned pizza joints like this. They have catering and also locations in Schaumburg and Lombard. We will be back to try their other items like Italian beef, then Sicilian style stuffed pizza, the "butcher block" thin crust, and panzarotti (fried calzone). I am having a lot of fun trying out all the local pizza places around Naperville, having moved to the area earlier this year. I'm glad we got to make a stop by Old Town Pizza. The food was really decent. I ordered a half cheese pizza topped with mushrooms and onions with the other half with sausage. The crust was delicious and perfect. No complaints. If this was the first pizza i had in my life i would think "what's the big deal about pizza?" This is what i imagine prisoners would make with commissary ingredients. It's as if aliens made what they thought pizza was. The crust is basically bread. Bad, terrible, angry bread. The cheese was a melted glob of whatever white cheese the food distributors sell at end of quarter that every other restaurant refused. The pepperoni ratio was INSANE. basically none. Which turned out for the best as the one i tasted was a bland, uninspired flavorless disc of worthlessness. I'm reminded of chuckie cheese pizza. A wonderful place for children but terrible place for food. With all due respect to whoever concocted this atrocity; you've bastardized whatever recipe your poor gramma made so lovingly during the depression out of whatever scraps she could find behind the soup kitchen. It's been a long time since I've been here. I picked up a thin crust pepperoni pie. I forgot to ask if they put the pepperoni on top of the cheese, like their slices. They don't, and the pepperoni didn't seem plentiful. I found they undercooked the pizza. There was no color to the cheese or the bottom of the crust. I would consider it parbaked, as it needed to go back into the oven. It tasted kinda doughy otherwise. read more

We've been a fan of Old Town for years but the last 6 months have been horrible. We have had pizza delivered to us with no sauce, pizza completely under cooked and tonight, we ordered a simple order of a 12 piece fried chicken and we were shocked when the driver said it was $38 plus tip, $44. I ordered over the phone. To check after receiving the chicken, I went online. 4 pc = $10.95 8pc = $15.95 so 12 should have been much less than $38.90. The cashier decided to put the order in though as 3 orders of 4pc for $10.95 in order to rip us off and take advantage as we were not in front of the pricing online. When I called and questioned the order taker, he stated and I quote "you ordered it, you received it and you paid for it...nothing more to discuss!". Showed text at pickup as it said to do to receive free appetizer up to $6 value and the guy said they don't take that anymore even though it was on their website I ordered from an hour earlier. Guy was extremely rude and said he told owner to take off website as he walked away from me before I had paid forgetting the fact I had to pay. I asked him if he wanted me to pay and came back, ripped the card from my hand and swiped it and walked away. This place is conveniently on 59 so we ordered one for the first time yesterday. We got the double dough crust, which is of course thicker than thin crust and thinner than thick crust! The base was a good thickness / consistency but the actual crust around the edge was a bit too doughy and not really browned enough. The sauce had a pleasantly spiced taste to it, though. We forgot to ask to have it cut like a pie and so it came in that tic-tac-toe grid cut that I have only ever seen in the Chicago area. Ordered a pizza for pickup. My family likes Little Italian's thick crust Italian beef and giardiniera so we thought we'd try this at Old Town. Meh. The dough is good but we had next to no beef on the pizza, the sauce is bland and the giardiniera wasn't hot. I've had their thin crust in the past which is much better. I'll stick to little Italian off Bailey for my signature pizza though. read more

Alright, being new to area we were working on home improvements in our home. We were up for pizza. Our go to pkace, which we so enjoy, closed early! I guess we are in the boon docks, lol. Anyways, first time customer at Old Town Pizza Co. We ordered in. Wow, crust was awesome, our cheese and Pepperoni toppings were perfect. Customer service and delivery was terrific also. We will be teturning here! I recommend this pizza in Naperville. And to think they are only 1.1 mile close to us. Great neighborhood joint. Good variety of food from appetizers to sandwiches wraps pizza and even calzones. Food is cooked to order and always fresh. In fact, most items take a while to prepare so I recommend calling ahead or ordering ahead or online. They do have pizza by the slice readily available. I love my pizza. If I was stranded on an island, I would want an unlimited supply of pizza. But please, not old town pizza.... My husband and I were both disappointed and I personally am confused by all the great reviews. There was no sauce on our thin crust pizza. Like literally 5% of our pizza had sauce on it. And that 5% had no taste to it. Not salty, not sweet, not anything. The crust tasted like salt-free saltines- no flavor whatsoever. The cheese was really thick. And for that reason, I was excited and thought okay, there may be no sauce and the crust sucks, but at least there's a lot of cheese. I am a cheese freak- I love cheese. I would bathe in melted cheese (and suffer the acne break outs later) but please, not in old town pizza cheese. This was the most flavorless cheese I have ever tasted on a pizza (in this area at least). The pizza was so utterly disappointing, that the next night, I felt the need to order pizza from one of my usual places lol. No shame man. Like I said, I love my pizza!! This is the second time I've ordered this place and I love it! I got the cheese burger this time and it was awesome, a little strange the bacon was crumbled but I'm not complaining. My boyfriend got the cheese dog and he said it was very good as well. I love the cheese fries, I always get the cheese on the side and they give you more than enough and I love that! And the cheese sticks are so delicious. The only thing that I would change is that they has a better ranch sauce, I'm a weirdo that likes ranch on my fries. Highly recommend this place. read more

We just recently started ordering from the Naperville location. I have been ordering from the Lombard location for years for my employees. Everyone loves the specialty pizzas. Just this week they ordered burgers. Claim they are the best ever. Always felt that a restaurant could only be good at one thing either good pizza or bad burgers. Best pizza we've had in years and we've tried a lot. We use to drive over an hour to buy our favourite pizza but the last time we did, we were disappointed as the flavour just wasn't the same. We were looking for something different, so we decided to order form Old Town Pizza a couple of nights ago. Pizza arrived quicker than we expected, and it was very delicious. We ordered a large pepperoni and a large sausage pizza and they were WAY bigger than the larges we normally order. I tried their pizza first a few weeks ago. It was ok. Wouldn't eat it again. I thought I'd try their pasta to see if maybe that would be better. It is the worst Alfredo I have ever had. They used pene pasta, which eh, ok, but it was so soggy! Way over cooked. The Alfredo was like they took a can of condensed cream of chicken and poured it over the pasta. I literally made a dinner of the little loaf of bread because the Alfredo is sickening. Complete waste of money. They don't even make their own Italian dressing. Despite being under new ownership, little has changed about this location. Their pizzas pretty good, little too much cheese and not enough sauce. The crust is passable, but it really doesn't have any flavor. Getting a slice is the way togo. Their "Cheesy Beef" or Sausage is the way togo. They make an Antipasto Salad that could kick Chuck Norris hairy a$$. Get it with Greek dressing and you're good to go. Old town is nothing amazing, but I love ordering a couple slices and salad from them whenever I don't feel like making some food or cant decide on the limited delivery options in Naperville. read more

OVERRATED!!! Just had a large half Cheese half Pepporini + medium Cheesy Beef for a total of $35. There was no beef on that pizza. Go to Portillo's for beef it will cost you less than $5. I called the manager to explain italian beef shortage pizza and he tried to say that he helped make the pizza and there was plenty. Calmly I explained to him that there was beef on maybe 20% of that pizza to which he replied that there was beef. I have ordered pizza from this place a few times, and while it's not terrible, there's nothing special about their pizza and there isn't anything that makes it stand out from the rest of the pizza joints in the area. The cheese to sauce ratio isn't very balanced and the sauce they do put on there is somewhat sour/tart. The guy answering the phone is always friendly and polite. We ordered the thin crust pizza - four square(?) - had sausage, mushroom, onion and green peppers. I swapped out half the sausage for pepperoni and I must say the pepperoni side was better. The sausage was pretty good though.. just preferred the pepperoni. I really liked the crust and the sauce was nice. I have to agree with the other reviewers - there was a bit too much cheese in the middle of the pie. The proportions just didn't work for me. The crust pieces were good though.
