The staff were super welcoming, especially since it was our first time, and they made the experience feel personal! We went with a large pepperoni & jalapeño pizza. Flavor-wise, the sauce and cheese ratio was spot-on--tangy, cheesy, and really well balanced. The crust was the real star, perfectly crispy in the middle (which is rare to find and made every bite even better). If I had to nitpick, there were a ton of jalapeños but not quite enough pepperoni to balance it out. Still, the overall taste carried the pie, and it was definitely satisfying. All in all, a solid pizza joint with great service, and I'd for sure go back to try more of the menu! read more

We ordered delivery at Alter Brewery and it was a great call. Alter has good beer and Dans great pizza, the combo is perfect. Other than the hi decibel golf bros surrounding us it was a very good experience. They eventually mostly left and ordered a huge number of Dominos pizzas which was their loss. They have a nice covers patio with that night "live music" (I'll be kind). You can't do much about 90 degree heat and 90% humidity but that's not their fault it Illinois in the summertime. Sausage and Peperoni pizza along with Barbecue bacon onion and sausage pizza was thin crisp and delicious. Highly recommended where ever you choose to eat it. read more

Here's how you know this place is good if you call on a Saturday after 5 it's always going to take 1hr + for delivery. That's cause they're insanely busy because their pizzas are unreal. They don't do anything other than pizza because they don't need to. There's no sitting down or ambience to mention. This is a place you call to stop fooling around and just get a straight up legit pizza. If you're unfortunate enough to be allergic to gluten then you really need to check this place out because their gluten free crust is one of the few out there that is like real pizza. I am very impressed with the pizzas here. My son and I ordered a sausage with jalapeno on one side. Extra crispy and extra thin crust and it was very good. We also ordered a beef and banana peppers regular crust extra crispy. It too was solid. The only issue, we ordered them both pie cut and only one was. It tarnishes the experience a bit. We even called to confirm pie cut. We will go back but probably pick up so we can check them. If the pizza wasn't as tasty I'd give this a three star review. Pie cut is the way! read more

The pizza is delicious, but when you order online they charge an extra $1 for an "online ordering fee," and they hit you up for a tip. A tip is for good personal service. Overall, I would give this place a 4.5. Plenty of parking. Takeout or delivery only. Service was good. Employees are very friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable and moderate. I got a 12" small bbq special with mushrooms and garlic crust added. Pizza was fresh and hot when I received it. There were tons of toppings. I would have liked to see more garlic in the crust when I bite into it. Garlic flavor/smell was a little difficult to detect. Based on a neighbor's recommendation, we tried Dan's Pizza last night. We did pick up (using a $3 off coupon in the local flyers) and got a large sausage and garlic thin crust. It was hot when we picked it up and stayed hot for our drive home (yeah!). We could smell the garlic in the car and loved it! Pizza - wise, we thought it was really great. I'm so glad to find another pizza place I like in the area! They are also reasonably priced! Friendly and quick service. I tried a pepperoni double decker pizza, it's definitely unique. It's almost like two thin crust pizzas stacked with a thick crust (yet not like this at all). It molds really nicely together and I really like the dough. I would definitely get this again! I don't know if I need pepperoni on both layers though so I think I'll say "light pepperoni" next time. We also had a thin crust sausage pizza. They really do not skimp on the toppings. Been going there for years and even though the original owner isn't there anymore the new owner kept the same standards and quality as the original. If you're in the area definitely pick up a pizza. This is a carry out only facility. They picked up the phone and the order was placed without hassles. 20-minutes later we had a large sausage/mushroom pizza for a little over $20. Cut into squares, not slices. My favorite! The sauce has a nice flavor. Cheese has a nice consistency with the classic "lightly browned" over the traditional chunk sausage "balls". The crust was thin crust. All and all this was a nice pizza for the price. I would like management to switch to boxes rather than the old school Pizza Hut "bags" they are using. Moved to the Downers Grove area pretty recently, hasn't found a pizza place I've really liked yet. We got a new neighbor coupon from this place and decided to check it out. Very, very solid tavern style pizza. Thin crust crust, nice sauce and just the right amount of greasiness. The green peppers tasted very fresh on there, probably my favorite peppers on any pizza in Chicago. Folks were great there, kids working up front were super apologetic about the pizza not being ready when I got there, even though I showed up a few minutes early, the manager/owner was very welcoming and nice and was teaching the kids about customer service. I've only had the slices of pizza. The slices tasted good and were FRESH. That's key because often times places reheat there slices. So a slice doesn't do there actual pizza justice. With that being said if there actual pizzas taste better than there slices we might be on to something lol. The crust is thin but neither overly doughy or crunchy. We ventured down to Dans from Bloomingdale because they participated in the "Chicago pizza March madness bracket" this year. They don't have a restaurant, just a tiny busy storefront pumping out the pies. Thin crust with sausage, mushroom, green pepper, and onion was delish. I judge my thin pizzas by the crust and the sauce, this one was very good on both accounts. Would I drive down to a carry out pizza place again? It took me too long to have this in my life! I'm so glad I found Dans pizza. They have such a good crust, the sauce has a nice flavor, and the toppings cook up just right. Personally I love that they have green olives ;) The baby pizzas are perfect if you have a few different picky eaters and their gluten free crust is delicious as well (crunch and chewy and not completely dry).
