[[HIGHLIGHT]]I always enjoy going to Latitudes Bar and Grill for their fresh food, island-inspired cocktails, fun environment & friendly service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One of my favorite meals is their Caribbean Seafood Plate. The flavors are incredible on the fish, shrimp, rice w/pineapple, & veggies. Perfection! A party in my mouth, island style!

Excellent local eatery! Cozy and friendly atmosphere. Not too loud to hold a conversation. Food is good for the price and the service is great. We eat here often and plan to continue doing so in the future! Check it out. Great spot.

Great spot! I frequented this spot during COVID when restaurants were first allowed to reopen and really enjoyed it. Fast forward and they appeared on Bar Rescue and the place got a complete makeover! Great island vibe inside with great food and drinks to match. We went with their house cab which was half off. It was a Chilean cab which I'd never had before, but loved it. For food, we got the Mahi Mahi bites. These things were amazing, they routinely sell out of them daily, but they are so worth it. My mom and I split the Jerk Chicken wings which carried heat, but not too overbearing. Just the right amount, I prefer spicier, but I'm not too picky. My brother got a pizza flatbread and loved it as well. The service is always great too, the owners are there daily checking in on everyone. Great family owned place!

We had tried to dine here last Sunday but unfortunately the yelp listing had not been updated and it still showed them open on Sunday. Due to Covid, for the time being, they are closed on Sunday. I think they have subsequently updated their listing. Therefore, we went yesterday. A bit disappointed at first because I had talked myself into Sushi but they only have Sushi after 4pm on Friday and Saturday when they have a Sushi Chef come in for the Sushi. It's a little hard to find because it's in a small strip mall. Used to be a travel agency called Sweet Destinations that branched out and started selling sandwiches to their customers. You can still book a tour here but with Covid and travel restrictions, that is a very small part of their business and you have to ask. Walked in and were promptly seated and presented with menu's. Not an expansive menu but we found out that everything was well prepared. They had meatloaf on the menu both as a plate and as a sandwich. My wife is a Yankee and prefers her meatloaf with gravy as opposed to either ketchup or a tomato glaze more common here in the South. Still she loves her Philly Cheese Steak so she ordered that with side of Tater Tots. She proclaimed the Philly Cheese Steak as one of the best she had ever had. Tater Tots are always problematic because all to often, the come out soggy and oily due to improper cooking temperature. Not the case here. Came out perfectly crispy with no hint of oiliness. I ordered the Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with a side of Italian Pasta. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich can also be problematic. Suppose to have a bit of heat and too often, whoever prepares the sandwich, since heat is the criterion, it's way too hot and there is so much hot sauce, the chicken slides out of the sandwich and get's messy. Not the case here. Spicy yes with a good heat level but not sloppy. Chicken was nice and Crispy as ordered. The tomato on the sandwich was a surprise. This time of year (Feb) when you order something with a tomato on it, you normally end up with something with the taste and texture of cardboard. Not the case, here either. The tomato was very good and while not what I could pull from my garden in August, could only be considered excellent. They pay attention to the quality of their ingredient. The Italian Pasta Salad was excellent. Susan and I have already decided that next Saturday, we're going back after 4 pm so I can try the Sushi. Looking forward to it. It's worth the effort to find the place and explore the menu. Even talked to owner about booking an Alaskan Cruise sometime in the future.

Are you ready for the holidays? Latitudes is ready! This locally owned restaurant is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner. The bacon cheddar ranch fries appetizer was a delicious beginning of our lunch. The blackened fish bites were delicious. The cheeseburger and fries hit the spot! We look forward to visiting again throughout the holiday season to experience the Miracle on Highway 16 special event!

Very friendly, attentive staff. Food and drinks were tasty. Casual atmosphere. For as busy as the place was, noise level was moderate

Improved since our last visit. Food was good, not exceptional. I had the Reuben and fries which was good. Friendly service and nice drink selection available.

I had high hopes however the appetizers took forever and weren't very good. Wouldn't not deem this as good bar food. There's better options.

The inside was decorated in a fun lake theme! Red flag alert: the menu is massive. I'm a firm believer that no kitchen can master everything from A to Z, and Toucan's kind of proves the point. It was "just okay," maybe as much as good but not quite GREAT but the Shrimp Platter actually held its own! The shrimp were huge, well-seasoned, and the rice and beans were a surprising highlight. The real MVP of the night, though, was our waitress. Managing a party of 15 is usually a recipe for disaster, but she was a total pro. Every order was correct, the food arrived hot, and our drinks never hit empty. Go for the lake vibes and the stellar service, stay for the shrimp, but maybe keep your expectations for the rest of that giant menu in check. A solid choice for a big group outing! The cocktails looked refreshing, but overall were just okay taste-wise. Food was decent, nothing bad but nothing that really stood out either. Service was unfortunately the biggest downside. I finally went inside to find a server and noticed the staff all gathered together while there weren't any tables inside. Overall, I'd come back for the view and atmosphere, but not necessarily for the food, drinks, or service.

It was a beautiful day, and the atmosphere of sitting outside on the deck overlooking the waterfront was absolutely perfect. Relaxing views, great weather, and a laid-back vibe made for an awesome experience. The food was great too! She started with the Honey Mustard Chicken Wrap appetizer and absolutely loved that it came with a side of asparagus -- and honestly, the asparagus was delicious. The only downside was she forgot to ask for no onions on the wrap, so she only had a few bites, but that definitely wasn't the restaurant's fault. I actually took the rest home for lunch at work the next day, and it was really good. For her main meal, she ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and truly enjoyed it. I started with the wings and tried the Italian Garlic sauce -- first time I've ever seen that flavor offered anywhere -- and it was delicious! The drinks: The two girls ordered Miami Vice and I ordered a Rum Runner. The Vices were not frozen the strawberry puree was not a puree and the pubs colada potion tasted like whip cream - had to return them they were so bad. My Rum Runner was meh at best. The Bahama Mamma wasn't much better as the mix of the drink was way off compared to the liquor. My beer was barely cold. The food: Appetizers: Fried pickles and fried Mac & Cheese bites - both delicious My blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich was delicious and was cooked to perfection. My onion rings were huge but way undercooked. My wife's buffalo chicken salad very little flavor except the chicken pieces themselves. Huge amounts of ice berg lettuce but mostly the bitter white parts. Very little other greens at all. Our friends Mahi Mahi Tacos were delicious. Service: Food and drinks were served relatively fast & our server was attentive. I did find her annoyingly over the top. She kinda ruined the whole relaxing vibe. Our total bill was $118.00 (they did not charge us for the 2 bad drinks) Overall, not worth the drive. The view of lake Norman is so-so unless you're right along the railing. We were just very underwhelmed.
