Vibe: 8/10 - it can get loud inside, but the theming is so nice! The outdoor area is also excellent Service: 7/10 - kind, but can be very slow. Don't go in a rush! Value: 9/10 Black and bleu: 7.5/10 Greek steak salad: 8/10 Overall: 7.7/10 (3.85/5) [To clarify our review system: 10 = we'll never have anything else as good as this in our lives (we use 10 very sparingly!) 9 = extraordinary 8 = great 7 = above average 6 = average Anything below 6 is being critical]

The food was down home delicious and the train station atmosphere directly added to the experience. Service was excellent and very friendly . Service

This location was a train station until the 70s. A train still passes by the restaurant. The decor is cute. There are train items throughout the place. We visited at lunch time on a weekday. The dining area was busy. Our server was also helping with to go orders. The menu is varied. The bar looks like a fun place to visit. There is also a private room for parties. I had the black bean burger. It was good without bring great. I didn't pay attention to peppers bring in the burger or I would have requested that they be left off. The pieces were large enough that I was able to remove them. The cucumber dill sauce was good. The fries were decent. My guest had the chicken salad. She asked for salmon instead of chicken. She really enjoyed it. The server didn't mention that there was an $8 charge for the substitution. It would have been nice to have been informed. The poppy seed dressing was good. There were gaps in service since our server was over worked. I asked for help from others when I needed it. This is a popular location. Plan accordingly.

The staff was fast courteous and friendly with plenty of suggestions. The building was once an old train station and it has been beautifully restored. Even thought the place was crowded for lunch it wasn't overly noisy. As for the food I can only speak to one dish, because it was why we drove here to eat. The chopped steak w/pepper and onions was probably the best one I have ever eaten. I had the gravy on the side. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely go back to try more of their dishes.

I came down to this restaurant expecting it to be pretty mediocre, but I was blown away by the amazing food in the small town. Olde Liberty is an old train station turned restaurant serving modern American dishes. Their Carolina and Station burgers were excellent, the patties held a lot of flavor and the accessories on the burger were great. I was a huge fan of the bread, three types baked in one small dish - it was warm and soft, very delicious! The station itself is nice and clean, it's got a great atmosphere!

We stopped here based on reviews and were super disappointed that we did. The burger was fine but luke warm, fries were cold (how does that even happen?), creamed spinach cold, twice baked potato was cold and definitely boxed, chopped steak was tasteless, and the icing on the cake... horrible service.... Just a bad experience. It was as though the food was microwaved without following the directions on the box Server dropped food on the table and didn't return to check on us until bringing the check. Perhaps it was just an off night for this place... hoping that's the case. We won't be back to find out. Blah

Little to no wait for a table. Staff was delightful and engaging. Food was wonderful and arrived to the table hot.

I also got The Yardbird sandwich after the server recommended it. It's basically just chicken salad and lettuce between a ciabatta roll, but it was simple and great. And what the heck: I can't visit a bakery that has multiple sweets without getting one. I also listened to the advice of the server when she recommended the orange scone. She was right again! It was tender and tasted like a Froot Loop. Blue Sky is located on the corner of a busy street. There are lots of tables, but if you can, sit at the bar that looks out onto the street to see the hustling and bustling college town.

It's in Lexington, home of VMI, and the shop itself is diagonal from a post office built in 1911 with large columns lining its edifice. Sometimes, when college students leave great reviews, that means good food that isn't too expensive. True here, especially for what you get: generous servings on amazing bakery breads. I had the "Sorry Charlie" on a slice of focaccia -- topped with tomato slices and melted cheese and a satisfyingly crunchy, warm crust, with a simple but nicely refreshing black bean and corn salad. Dessert treats are also worth a splurge. The people couldn't be friendlier with customers of all ages enjoying themselves. (And they have a coffee bar. And a "speakeasy"!)

We went through 3-4 cards for which their system wouldn't accept. Not declined for ISF because all had SF. But the system wouldn't recognize them as payment methods which several were major CCs. Thankfully the last one worked. We were told sometimes the system won't take some CC. Which again some we tried were major CC, which makes no scenes. Be sure you have cash on hand! If it weren't for the experience with their card machine I would have added another star, unfortunately these days having card payment methods available you absolutely need one that works properly and is up to date.

We were warmly greeted by the manager, John Wilcher, who was personable and took the time to share the history of the restaurant and walk us through the menu. We chose the Turkey Lurkey sandwich, which was piled high with delicious turkey on a fresh bun with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. We also ordered the potato salad as a side, and it was very good. We dined inside, and the dining area was historic and beautiful, with original artwork displayed on the walls. We left happy and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere.
