We went near closing time (3pm, we arrived at 2:30), so that might be a factor. We ordered a burger and a Philly cheesesteak, both came with chips. Neither of our orders were correct. We ordered the burger with tomato only, and it came with everything. The Philly all the way, minus green peppers, and it had cheese only. We felt rushed so we didn't send them back. They were sweeping the floors around us and turning up chairs while we ate. Kinda disappointing, because I had heard good things about the place and the people who run it. Maybe I will give them another chance when it's earlier in the day. I'll say this-they have a nice dessert menu. Wish I had the opportunity to stay long enough to try something. This is a great little place to eat. Their chicken salad is delicious. Cute seating area inside and never a long wait. Fast service.

Reasonable prices, good service, nice atmosphere - and the food was great! My partner had the house burger and pronounced it almost as good as homemade, I had the steak sandwich, and we split an order of crisp onion rings. We will be back! I highly recommend it! read more

I love the V&T. I recently went for lunch, and for the first time in my ten times eating here, it was not the best food. I didn't complain, just because. But, the amazing staff noticed I didn't eat most of my sandwich. They immediately inquired, and offered to redo. Next, who I assumed was the owner/manager was at the table to look at my plate and make amends. She made sure I was satisfied and gave me a treat when I left. I will certainly go back. Stopped by to try this cafe for lunch one day. It was good, not great. It is very cozy inside and has a good atmosphere. I got the the Rueben and I thought it was well made aside from the sour kraut not being as tender. Four stars because there were obviously quite a few regulars whom the staff would pay attention to more than the others. read more

Not a fan. 1 and done. Chicken salad sandwich consist of 2 tablespoons if that much put in the middle of toast. Oriental chicken salad is basically romaine lettuce with some noodles. Dressing ugh. Absolutely disrespectful staff! Do not go to this place, one of the workers came out to the vehicle demanding a tip. She was literally at the car door harassing me & my family. I have never in my entire life had a worker come outside to the vehicle harassing about a tip. You should just be thankful for getting service we paid for our food, if someone wants to give you a tip they will but don't harass your customers. Very rude & very unprofessional! read more

Stepped inside into a nostalgic, beautifully decorated cafe. The menu provides so many options to choose from. Everything tasted delicious. Next time I come, will need to leave some room for dessert as there is quite a selection of ice cream flavors, sundaes, and various other goodies. read more

The food was okay but completely bland. Even the fries had no salt. If you are not into spices, this is your place. I like shrimp salad with bay seasoning. One adorable cafe with great food and deserts! Lily, the owner, is awesome and always so kind. She has gone above and beyond to make my young niece happy. Their food is very reasonable and always good. There are quite a few dessert choices then quite a bit of Hershey's ice cream flavors, then they do sundaes, milkshakes, floats, etc. Lunchtime and prime dinner time are particularly busy and seating is tight, but what a cool place! read more

Good local place to eat with decent prices and hometown favorites. This place takes you back in time and it's one of those old school hole in the wall places you don't see too much of anymore. It's your basic munchies and snack foods. Would have rated it higher except they charge for refills on fountain sodas without disclosing to you that refills are extra--they rely on you reading the tiny print on the menu. Ended up being MUCH more expensive then we would have liked and the waitress's tip suffered for that. Overall decent place! read more

Stopped in this little place for lunch- what a find. It's not "fine dining", but I liked it. It's located on a back corner of a large shopping center anchored by a Food Lion. you have to look for it. It is a coffee shop, cafe and ice cream parlor all in one. The decor is warm and inviting, with art on the walls, with circular tables for four, and a two-seat wine bar. I felt at home from the moment we walked in. The two owners welcomed us heartily. The service was efficient, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I ordered a Reuben Sandwich on rye toast, which was perfect in every way. Sandwiches come with a chips accompaniment. My guest ordered a French Dip sandwich which she thought was the best she'd ever had. The atmosphere is quiet but not to the point you are reluctant to converse. There is an extensive breakfast and lunch menu and a dinner menu with just about anything you'd want. I think the "hospitality" was the best characteristic of this place- the owners and staff work hard to ensure that. Parking in the shopping center lot. Very nice owners, but cannot make up for at-best just average sandwiches and salads, but priced on the higher side for this area especially. They need to step up their game with better quality and a bit more quantity in their food served or V&T will find their business customer numbers running low and still lower.
