    Beautiful couple!

Our daughter had her wedding here on August 9th, 2025. We are so happy she and our now son-in-law chose this venue. It is an incredible gem tucked away in a magical setting. Chad, Michelle (owners), and Denise (wedding coordinator) were the best! They communicated very well, were so accommodating and did not say no to any of our requests (all within reason). The communication back and forth was timely and never did we feel as though we were just another customer. They made everyone involved including an additional coordinator, feel like family. Make Jacobs Berry Farm your choice! A perfect venue to make lasting memories!

Absolutely LOVE this location. The property is just wonderful with all kinds of cool nooks and crannies. The property is very large and has all the character you would want in a barn/farm style wedding. The owners and staff are simply put, AMAZING.

This Venue was amazing, beautiful, professional and the perfect place to get married! Just had my wedding here and would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. The people that ran it were outstanding and so reliable. They were there for me with anything I needed making everyone feel relaxed and at ease. I can't thank them enough! They are just as awesome as the venue itself!!! This was the perfect place for my perfect wedding day.

We got a call. Would you like to go to a little history talk being sponsored by the Carson Valley Historical Society? It's at the Jacob's Berry Farm. Sure, we go to church next door, but we've not ever, in our 30 years living in the Carson Valley, been to the location. I'm glad we went, and I'd encourage you to go to any event that you get invited to. First, this is the original home of the Lampe Family. The current farm is five acres, and it features many of the original buildings. The berry activity is relatively new. The big barn is the highlight. They've got timbers in there that can not be replaced. They are tall and from locally sourced trees from over 100 years ago. Should this barn burn, it would be, frankly, irreplaceable. The historical society had a speaker, and I apologize, as his name has escaped me, and he was able to describe the barn, the system of construction used, his analysis of the era it was built based on the details present in the construction, and it was fascinating. There is more than just the barn, as they've got the original bunkhouse, the family house (which has been added to at least three times over the course of the Lampe family's time at the ranch), and the current owners, the Jacobs family, has worked hard to improve the property since they acquired it. In short, if you get invited to this property, or you need some berries, you won't go wrong here. Don't be like me and live here for over 30 years and never drop in, and when you do go, be sure to have them explain the history of the outhouse that's still functional.

The animal area has been cleaned up and there are tons of working sinks to wash hands. You can purchase animal food, pony rides, and bottles to feed the animals. There is also a play gym, train rides, hay rides, trike races, zip lines, slides, dirt to shovel, and more. My three year old easily spent over three hours here and loved every minute. We will definitely be back in the fall!! My only suggestion to andelin farms is to add a fan in the baby nursing hut. It was very stuffy in there.

I was surprised to see how they pushed the entrance area past the barn, but totally makes sense for those who may want to just stop by to shop and not want to enjoy the festivities. The staff were all friendly and kept up with keeping the animal pens clear of poop, especially for the petting ones. They had signage to designate which ones you could feed the animal food to and which ones you couldn't enter due to the animals resting. I really liked how they sectioned off all the animals off to the left side with its own entrance and exit and lots of sanitizing and handwashing stations nearby. They had some new things at the farm too. I saw signage advertising Cuddling with Calves for $20 (kids 8+). They also had some additional calves to see and pet along the way. So adorable! Outside of the animal area, they had a new section, Peacock Pedalers, that allowed kids and adults to ride tricycles around. They also had refreshment stations within the farm for drinks, kettlecorn, and other snacks, which made it convenient. What surprised me was that the features that were typically busy on our past visits, like the mini zip lines and the barrel ride, were very little to no waits. They offered lots of seating for taking a break and grabbing some food from the three food trucks they offered. The pulled pork nachos were yummy! It was a great deal to spend the day at the farm for $20 tickets. Yes, they offered lots of additions like the animal feed, train tickets, and gem sluicing for a price but not really necessary to have a great experience. The baby chicks and goats were the highlight of our visit. My daughter wants to go back next weekend!

We tried the lavender lemonade slushy and it was super refreshing. We were the only ones there, and pulling up was a little confusing since it looks very home-y, and we weren't totally sure where things were happening. They had a nice little selection of goodies for sale, and overall the vibe was really chill. However... there was a cat hanging around that became a bit of a deal-breaker. It climbed right up on the table where the utensils, napkins, and bagged chips were -- literally sat on the chip bags like it owned the place. Clearly not its first time doing that. who wants cat booty on their food? I'm all for farm animals and pets, but I don't think they should be around areas where food is being handled or served -- especially where straws and napkins are kept. Then our drink came out with a straw already in it, and while it was brought from the kitchen, it made me wonder if the cat's allowed back there too. They also mentioned a flower garden we could check out, which we did but it took only a few minutes, and then we headed out. Overall, it's a relaxing little spot, but not much to do, and the food hygiene situation needs some serious work. I definitely don't want cat butt near my snacks.

Close to the Truckee River, tucked in a little pocket of Reno by Mayberry Park, we couldn't have asked for a spot that felt as private and serene. We wanted our day to feel like a slightly fancy-outdoorsy family reunion and knew this spot would be perfect when we visited it in the spring. By the fall, the greenery around the venue had filled in, making the area (and all our photos) extra beautiful. The available space can be set up in many different layouts. The ceremony area easily fit our guest list of 40, with room to spare. Then, it doubled as an area for games and later a bit of casual dancing by just moving a few chairs. We loved having a few different but connected areas for guests to spend time together. The owners were so helpful explaining everything about the venue. Many thanks to both for sharing such a wonderful space that is clearly cared for and kept with much love.
