My wife ordered a mixed drink from the bar and I ordered Weihenstephaner beer; both were delightful. We tried the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers (best we have had in years) and their fritters. They are a from scratch kitchen, so everything was fresh... and they try to make as much as they can in house, including the breads and sandwich buns. We each ordered soup, my wife got their bisque and I got a du jour squash soup. My wife got a crab cake sandwich and I got a smash burger. Her sandwich was delightful. The bacon onion jam was amazing, and the burgers were perfectly prepared on my smash burger... and the bun was something special. We capped the meal with a crème brûlée... closest I've had to my homemade version I've been making for three decades. They are under new ownership, and they are doing a fabulous job! We have found our new fine dining go to!

The cocktails were delicious- well crafted and our favorite parts of what was ordered. The Caesar salad is presented in a unique way and is very much an assemble-yourself set-up, with very little Caesar dressing that is swiped on the plate for more of a visual presentation rather than dressing for the salad. If so visit again, I'll try other things from the menu.

I definitely made the right decision! I didn't want anything to heavy before the long drive home. I chose the Quesadillas which were excellent and still had some for when I arrived home. While I was trying to decide what to eat, I was thinking about next time I would be eating here because there were so many different kinds of food to try. The service was excellent and she was very happy and was perfect with checking how I was doing. I'm moving to my new home on September 15th and know where I'll be having dinner

Food was so so, I had the Mac and cheese.with a fried chicken breast, Mac was OK chicken was thin ,over cooked and pretty tasteless . Spouse had the salmon and Brussels sprouts. It was good. P asking out front on the street or on the side. $32.00 plus tip

The dining room has booths and table seating with tile floors and high pitch ceiling with windows for natural light. The breakfast offerings include eggs, omelets, pancakes, French toast, and oatmeal. They offer daily specials too including weekday breakfast & lunch specials I stopped by Ark House on a rainy afternoon. I arrived here and the place wasn't too busy after the lunch rush. I was seated in a booth and given a menu to look at. I requested an ice water and ordered the Shrimp Parm with Spaghetti ($14.99 plus tax) with choice of one side (chose mac & cheese) and garlic toast. The food came out in 12 minutes after I ordered. The portion of food was good which was comprised of 8 breaded jumbo shrimp topped with red sauce & melted cheese with a side of soft cooked spaghetti with a sweet meat sauce. The mac & cheese (orange) was very dense and rich. The thick slices of garlic toast were soft and buttery. After I was done, the check was brought over which was $15.89 with tax and before tip. I paid at the front register. Overall, the food I had was fantastic and I was a bit torn whether to choose a pasta dish or a traditional country homestyle meal. The shrimp parm was very tasty and hot as was the mac & cheese. The service was friendly and adequate. I was glad I stopped here instead of going to a smorgasbord restaurant, which was very packed and pricey. The meal I had at Ark House Diner was pretty reasonable.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for a cozy, memorable evening. A real…read morefire crackled in the stone fireplace in the lounge, and we were ushered into a charming stone dining room that felt like stepping back in time. The building itself clearly carries history -- I actually had to duck slightly to pass through the low stone archway leading to our table. It added to the character and intimacy of the space. We started with the tuna tartare, which was a standout. I'm "that aunt" in the family -- the one who encourages the kids to try new things -- and this dinner was my monthly outing with my nephew. So yes, raw tuna hit the table. It turned out to be the perfect introduction. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and approachable, it made trying something new feel effortless. A total win. He ordered chicken nuggets, and while that might sound simple, they were clearly house-made, fresh-cut, and thoughtfully prepared. For chicken nuggets, they were excellent. My scallops, unfortunately, didn't quite land for me. The accompanying preparation felt overly complex and ended up overpowering the natural delicacy of the scallops. That said, the menu offers plenty of other intriguing options, and I'd absolutely return to explore more. Service throughout the evening was kind, attentive, and prompt -- exactly what you hope for during a relaxed dinner out. Overall, a warm, character-filled spot with standout starters and welcoming staff. Looking forward to the next visit.

You get charged if you want to substitute instead of chips but Tiny Tim wouldn't be satisfied with that side salad. And to piggy back on that my "large" house salad with added grilled chicken was the same portion as that tiny side salad but with a grilled chicken with it. Look at the older photos and you can see the difference on the side salad. Like I know they buy premade salad. Add a little more at least to the "large" salad. The crab cake looked about the same as the other and still tasted good to my husband. So they still charge you the full price of a side salad to substitute and just add it in the price. So it would be easier to get a salad on the side and get what they give you. We are spending our money to dine at least make it worth it. The last 4 pictures show our charges. Our waitress was nice and the food is good but not for those prices. Shame on you bluebird for the salad portions and not letting patrons know there isn't a discount on substituting your sides.
