The best part of the Olga's way was the bread. The rest was satisfactory, but not compelling. If I wanted a gyro, I'd consider this place, partly because the last place I went in Kalamazoo that served gyros tried to pass off mayo as tzatziki sauce. We used to live in Portage when Olga's used to be inside Crossroads Mall. We'd have Sunday brunch after church there. I couldn't wait to visit again! The chicken Olga with broccoli cheddar soup was always my go-to and I ordered that again with a salad. Everything was great! The Olga bread was incredible - I got extra! When in southern Michigan, Olga's is a staple. They have always been a cornerstone of the local shopping malls. They do a great gyro, which they call a original Olga. Service is usually very good. Polite, respectful, pleasant. The menu is simple and prices very reasonable. Now comes the Olga value meal. Fries, salad, and the delicious Olga fixin's on pita bread for under $10. The meat is typically moist and flavorful. I've eaten there many, many times and only once was the meat dried out. It's a combination of lamb & beef on a sweet homemade pita bread with fantastic one-of-a-kind Tzatziki sauce. I've eaten Gyro's at many restaurants over the years including Greek-owned ones and nobody comes close to the flavors of Olga's. They offer 'snackers' as a side it comes with dipping cheese and is pretty good. Worth a try as an appetizer. I find their drinks to be a little high priced so I usually just order water. You probably won't find a better tasting Gyro in Michigan but if you do let me know. read more

It cames with sude of pesto rice, veggies and yogurt sauce. It was great portion and delicious. The lamb meet was tender and tasted great when compined with yogurt. Pesto rice was ok. Veggies contained green and red pepper in addition to zucchini. They tasted delicious, fully cooked and flavored with olive oil. I give this dish 5/5 We ordered the famous donuts with raspberry sauce. The portion was very good for 2. I always order Olga's donuts. It worth five stars. My only problem was the waitress was little bit disturbing during checking the menu and during eating time. She kept coming and asking every 3 to 5 minutes. we felt rushed and we need to hurry up and finish our meals very quickly.. Timing is everything...we stopped for lunch on a rainy Friday afternoon and they were bustling but were able to seat us right away. We had not been here before so we asked our server for suggestions. All the sandwiches are served on delightfully soft pita bread. She suggested the pita snackers. Deep-fried well-seasoned pita triangles served with a Swiss cheese almond spread. Very yummy and a generous portion. For our sandwiches I selected her recommendation of the grilled sesame chicken. It was served piping hot and very flavorful with grilled onions, peppers and zucchini in a sesame sauce. You can't easily pick it up because of the sauce so knife and fork are in order. My companion is a bit fussy so they had the three cheese pita sandwich with just the warm pita and cheese. Basically a soft grilled cheese sandwich. Pretty good just plain. We shared some curly fries which were nicely seasoned. Now the timing part... our meal came out at three different times. Appetizer first(makes sense) then the fries , then the sandwiches with 15-20 minutes between each. By the time we got the sandwiches the fries were cold... we'd been there so long we simply asked for a box. The warm pita bread is enough of siren call we will over look the timing and give them a second try. They had other options which sound delicious!! read more

I have never been to either Olga's, partly because I never thought a mall restaurant was much to visit, and also because I usually just grab a quick bite at the mall. Since this one opened and I'm at Costco quite a bit I wanted to try it out. The first time I went was a Sunday around 12:45 and there was a long wait so we left. Today we were there earlier and even when we left around 12:15 there weren't very many people. It's nice on the inside, a friend there called this the "fancy Olga's!" The waitstaff was very friendly. First impression, we got coffee and it was lukewarm if that. So that was a bit disappointing. I did ask for some fresh and he said he'd have to brew another pot and brought out some fresh hot coffee. We started with zucchini fries and they were pretty good! Even my kids ate them, when I may have lied and told them they were pickles fries! I ordered the peasant soup and Mediterranean Olga. The soup was great! The cheese and toasted pita they included with it was amazing! My kids stole the bread but I loved the cheese, it was a sharp cheese with an almond flavor. The wrap was just ok in my opinion. I think I didn't care for the hummus so that threw off the whole things for me. My husband had a special salad, a Tuscan panzanella salad. The whole mozzarella balls were great, and he liked the kick it had! The kids meals were ok, the fries were curly fries which I normally love but these just didn't taste the freshest. I may try the place again, but first impressions didn't leave me wanting to run back for more. read more

Genuinely terrible experience. Food was cold and not what we ordered. Two separate appetizers -- the classic snacker basket with cheese spread and the snackers with cheesy marinara dip -- were rung in as the classic snackers with a side of marinara. We received a single basket of snackers, a bowl of cold marinara sauce, and no cheese. When we requested a fix from the waitress, she told us that she had brought us the correct thing--despite everyone else at the table understanding what we ordered. Main dishes were terrible, fries were cold, sandwiches were barely room temperature. Waitress never checked back with us. Three tables seated after us got their food fully fifteen minutes before us, and it was obvious that our food sat in the window, completely forgotten about. The air conditioning was on high, despite it being about 62 degrees outside, making it uncomfortably cold. No glasses were pre-bussed; when we finished I counted 14 glasses on the table. Mask usage not being enforced, watched customers stroll through the restaurant with mask in hand. We will never be back. read more

My favorite mall restaurant of all - I really enjoy the variety and the flavors. My favorites to start are the snackers with the almond spread and the three cheese balls are also fantastic. Visited today for lunch. The restaurant is brand new, and designed well. The waitstaff was friendly and the food was certainly good enough, to win four stars. When we got the bill the manager explained to us that the meal deal cannot have substitutions but that because we ordered and it wasn't stopped, they would make a special exception in this case. We thanked them, got the bill, paid it online, and that was that. I gave them four stars. The food is quite good, the price point is too high for what you get. They need to train their staff more, or include it in the menu prominently displayed so we understand that substitution is out of bounds. I was irked that they decided to carry on the way they did with us. Absorb the error and teach your staff and have them mention a simple apology at the end so everyone knows that substitutions are not on the table going forward. Don't pretend that different fries are going to throw the restaurant into financial disarray. It's fine In the end. We won't be back to Olga's because your price point is too high. We stopped to try it a second time after our first time in Crossroads mall, we weren't impressed then and we aren't now. So no worries, since we won't be back, no need to address this with us. However, moving forward, rethink how you present errors to your customers. read more

A rainy Sunday afternoon and we were out and about in the Century Ave. Shopping Complex off Drake Road.. Since the traffic here is pretty busy, I decided we would just stay in the area to have lunch. When I spotted the new Ogla's, my mind was made up. The new restaurant is so bright and cherry. We were seated immediately and our drinks were brought quickly. Hands down my favorite dish at Olgas has always been their Snackers, which are available as a Starter. Snackers are wedges of Olga's bread that have been fried and dusted with seasoning. They are served with Swiss Almond Cheese Spread, which is delicious. My favorite sandwich is the Original Olga, The bread is so delicious and I love the Mediterranean flavors of the sandwich. The sandwich is filled with broiled beef and lamb, onion, tomatoes, and the best creamy "Olgasauce". I paired this with a salad and curly fries. D also had the Original Olga. This time we ordered a small basket of their zucchini fries. Everything was really great! The "star" of the meal was, by far, their freaking Olga Donuts!! Never been here before and decided to check it out. I got the lamb bologa or whatever and the chicken shawarma and it was super gross. We didn't finish our food. The chicken shawarma was like bathed in cinnamon and the flavor was too strong. The bologa lamb had a strange flavor. I don't know, we just didn't like it. The hummus and bread was amazing though!
