This sub place is phenomenal!!! Service is great and the food is addicting. Always busy at lunch time, but they are quick.

Been coming to this location since my high school days and it's always been fantastic. The last 3-6 months has been absolute joke. Last three times I've gone in -first time the dude never came out from the back because he was too busy doing god knows that -second they closed an hour earlier than they're supposed to! Workers really want to work! -Third time I finally got my sandwich!!! But it was the most half ass sandwich I've ever had from any Jersey Giant location. Don't waste your time at this location and just go to the one on Center. What a joke. I know it's all cliché to put up the bad reviews behind the counter but maybe you guys should take it more seriously. read more

Well it is spring again and what this means for me is a lot of yard work, house repairs, and pet projects. Ordered online for pick up, which was super easy and i loved that option. Went to pick it up and waited another 15 minutes while the lady was on the phone and then she sliced and handled our meat without gloves on. My first stop at this location, even though I have had Jersey Giant Subs at parties we have thrown at work. The S. Westnedge location has a very friendly and helpful team. We were there around 11am so it wasn't busy at all. They gave us some good suggestions, which we opted for - like going with a whole and then sharing it since we were both getting the same thing. It was cheaper than both of us getting half orders. Super nice of them to let us know. We ordered the # 1 - Capacola, Salami & Cheese on whole wheat. I was impressed with how fast the gal sliced the meats and cheese and layered it on the sandwich. It was like watching an artist. The bread is soft and the meats & cheese were fresh. I went here with a co-worker and man I was really impressed. We went there 2 days in a row for lunch and I gotta say the sandwiches are "da-bomb". This is a perfectly adequate sub place. I like that the staff is friendly and seems to enjoy their jobs (unlike most people who work at most Subways around this area), and I absolutely LOVE that they slice the meats and cheese as you order. I wish the lettuce and tomatoes were fresher (the lettuce seemed wilted and the tomatoes looked sallow), and I think it's kind of weird that they're always so empty at lunch times. The subs really are giant, but you can order them by the half. They also do a pretty good lunch special which is a half sub, chips, and a drink for $5 and change. There's a $5 minimum on credit cards, but your bill would only come to under $5 if you got just a drink and a cookie. read more

This is the sandwich shop that proves Subway is garbage. The bread is soft and delicious, the deli meat is sliced right before your eyes, and the combinations are endless. They've recently added different lunch-sized combinations which is really great. The standard sandwich side is absurdly large (not a complaint) and unless I was splitting it with someone, I felt guilty for ordering. Now I can order a single serving size, and I prefer it that way. If I order a full sized sandwich, I typically opted against the soggier sandwich items and condiments on half of my sandwich to keep it fresh for a day or two. This is my favorite sub place. When I was in college at Michigan State I would go to the EL location frequently. Since graduating and moving to Chicago I visit Jersey Giant's location in Kalamazoo every time I drive pass the Westnedge Ave exit on 94. Unfortunately it is not as often as I would like, normally 2 times a year, and I try to get it both on my way out of Chicago and then heading back home. The bread is soft and fresh. The toppings are simple but add to the sandwich. I always get the #2 with lettuce, onion, tomato, banana peppers (a little kick and perfect complement to your sandwich), and oil/vinegar. The meat and cheeses are sliced in front of you so you know they are fresh. The sandwiches are huge and I always find a way to eat the entire thing. Jersey Giant always lives up to my expectations (which is tough to do) and I just wish it was closer to home. This place puts Jersey Mike's to shame. Jersey Giants has become my go to local sandwich if Pizza Yen isn't open. 4 stars because it's a sandwich. 5 stars for service, I've never been let down. Ultra accommodating for food allergies. This review is for THE NEW JERSEY GAINT on SPRINKLE ROAD.....we called in our order at noon for 1:00 pm pick up, I paid and was handed the bag of 2- #79 whole sub and 1 #2 half sub...the bag was heavy, the 2 young women were moving...making subs, no time for slackers here, big and small orders at the counter. Nice energy in the restaurant. Got home around the corner open up and sub was cut in 4 equal pieces and measured about 15 -17" long, this whole sub was HUGH!! And good, has to be the best sub in Kalamazoo/portage area. GREAT JOB !! read more

This is my favorite deli sub place in the zoo (my wife's as well, she's from the Lansing area and made me try it). The subs are 4 sections big, they cut the meat and cheese in front of you (actually pretty important for provolone) and the selection is good. If you get a tuna sub, make sure to get the vinegar and oil on it. Ken (the owner, really nice guy), made my wife get it on there for me and it really makes it something else and is totally the right call. Better Made chips, decent cookies and both the white and wheat bread are good. It's not super fast, but they make the dang thing right in front of you. Totally worth it. As far as build it, sort of your way, these subs make Subway's offerings look like tea sandwiches! The FTC ought to be looking into what a lot of fast food places advertise in their pictures of food offered as opposed to what you get served. We had been going to Jimmy Johns for a while and they were pretty good. But This place has our business now. I agree with other reviews that the sauce and veggie offerings were limited and the bread was a little airy but they made up for that with the fresh meats and cheese with decent portions. The paradigm for subs to me was the long gone Sunshine Submarine on Westnedge near old Central HS. Otherwise I might have given 5stars If somebody resurrects the original menu formula and ingredients from back then they will kill the sub market locally. read more

The service here is atrocious! My fellow Co workers order out twice a month (as a company). We called Jersey Giant's and spoke with the owner. He gave us his most you up to date menu. We place our order the next day. In just over day he raised his prices by 75 cents each sub! When we talked to him about it he told us he didn't need our business and if we didn't like it we can leave! This is NOT good business. I've never had his subs and nor will I ever. How can you treat people like this. If you have menus that you are handing out don't just say that they are up to date make sure that they are! Moreover, for a first time customer (and a company) why not honor the prices you gave them then let them know the price will change next time? Too bad, for them, good for other places around who will get our business now! read more

Love the customer service at This location and other locations but have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of toppings on our subs (at all locations we've visited) within the last year. The menu is expensive but we used to be willing to pay more for the delicious big subs. With the lack of toppings, it doesn't seem worth the price anymore. We are bummed! read more
