Overall good food and good value. Clean place and great service. While you might feel you are eating healthy, check out the calories. Rice is good, but it's a lot of calories and we believed it has butter. Makes it tasty but not as healthy as we would have liked it to be. Wish they had outdoor seating. read more

My friend and I have gone to many restaurants around the country. We tend to go to high-end restaurants, but today, after a day of shopping, we decided to go to Olga's. We both agreed that we have NEVER had a better waitress in all our travels than Loyale at the Kalamazoo Olga's near Costco. Professional, polite, greets people with "yes ma'am," and she understood what we needed without being asked for it. So cheerful and sincere too. I've loved Olga's for a long time now. My favorites are the snackers, Olga salad and the original Olga. My youngest has allergies so he really loves the bread basket as an appetizer (that pita is sooo good)! The food is good and they are always great at serving you quickly- no waits! Our server this time, SOPHIE, did a fabulous job of making sure everything was just right for us. Our family of 5 had everything we needed. Just visited Olga's for lunch. The lentil soup was fantastic! Also had the spinach pie. I haven't had such a great surprise in a long time and this lunch was such a great surprise in taste. Server Brayden was attentive and competent. I will be back to taste the rest of the menu items soo Went back for lunch today and was lucky to have Brendon as our server. I had the gyro sandwich here and it was DISGUSTING. The flavor of the meat was really off that I felt like throwing up several times while trying to eat it. The sauce they put in it was also horrible. read more

Usually don't mind going here, not usually my first choice but I enjoy getting their original Olga plus meal. Got it today for lunch and didn't even reach half way point of my meal. The food tasted stale and the fries tastes like they were from the day before. I stopped eating immediately and later in the day got a severe upset stomach. Very disappointed. read more

I've been to Olga's Kitchen two times now. Both times I ordered the Hummus Dip Snackers, Zucchini Fries Basket and Olga's Veggie Sandwich. There is a reason I ordered the same thing two times in a row... Yes... They were awesome! The Veggie Sandwich was loaded with veggies and spinach wrapped in the amazing Olga Bread. The Zucchini Fries are the way to go if you are getting Fries as they are tasty and come with a great signature sauce (beware it has horseradish in it) and finally... the hidden secret... Garlic Hummus and Dip Snackers. I am not sure what's on the Dip Snackers but they are amazing and the garlic hummus will drive even the best Vampires crazy!!! read more

Extremely overpriced - bad food. Ordered the Chicken Olga, the lettuce and onion were missing and it was really just two rock hard chicken tenders wrapped in a sweet pita, with rubber cheese. Also ordered a side of fries and they were cold, undercooked and extremely lacking. The total for this meal was over $12. The restaurant was not busy by any means. Waste of time and money. read more

Olga's was a great as I would call it "once a month restaurant." The food was alright but the service we got there from the staff was stellar and I have nothing but positive to say about the people. I ordered a honey BBQ Olga and it was pretty solid along with the fries (10/10) but the ranch I usually eat with the fries didn't taste good at all. Probably cause the fries are seasoned. I would give it 3 stars or about a 6/10. read more

The food and service are not like other Olga restaurants. The meat in original Olga was crunchy in spots and time before had a stringy texture. Both times service has been slow and waitress was irritated when asked for anything- refill- box-check I went back hoping my first bad experience was just because they were new- a month later and no improvement. Haven't been to Olga's in years. So decided to try the new one near Costco. Service was excellent. The building is very nice and new and clean. The peasant soup and snackers are as good as we remembered. But the salads we're wonderful. Mine had fresh mozzarella balls. Yum. We will be back again, real soon. read more

First of all, I love Olga's, it's my favorite place to go when I get to Michigan and I've never had a problem with the food! This specific Olga's though I keep having issues with. I want to note I've never eaten in at this location so my review is solely for takeout. I always order the same thing and that includes a basket of snackers with which I always PAY for an extra small cheese to make sure I have enough for the whole basket which I share with my family. But when I get my food home there's always only a small cheese and no large container that should come with the snackers. Just frustrating to pay for extra cheese and then get less than I would've gotten if I didn't pay extra at all. Also, this Olga's never uses their gray-n-go shelves. So I have to sit and wait to be helped just to have someone hand me my order from behind the counter that I could've just grabbed myself from the shelf. If they have a grab-n-go they should use it otherwise there's no added convenience there. read more

I placed a to go order and when I picked up my food and went to eat in my car I noticed that the wrap I had gotten was drenched with sauce so bad that the bread was soggy and it was spilling all over the tin foil. They also didn't give me any napkins in the bag and forgot to add peanuts on my brownie I ordered. read more

A wonderful experience- we were in town to buy a set of chairs and as it was lunch were hungry and wanted to try a new restaurant. The restaurant is new and clean. Our server was everything we wanted - friendly and answered questions nicely. I ordered the original olga and peasant soup. The soup was outstanding and easily the best I had this year- great flavor and lots of veggies. The Olga was great, the bread was perfect as was the meat. The rest of my party were fighting over the curly fries. The cost was reasonable and our bellies pleasantly full. There was a poster by the bathroom that indicated that the restaurant offers dental, health insurance and other great benefits to its employees - which is another great reason I love this place read more

Went here for my 3rd and final visit today - the first time I went was right after it opened and the place was clean, the food and service were amazing and I was so excited about having one so close to me. The second visit I had issues with the service, there was food on the floor and the bathrooms were dirty, and the food came out cold. But I'm a sucker for their bread so I gave it another try today. Arrived right when they opened and immediately noticed that there was dust/dirt and food on the floor, clearly from the day before, and the hostess that seated us had to use the back of her hand to brush off debris on the table before we sat down. We were one of only 2 tables at the time we ordered - I got a salad with chicken and the chicken was so old and dry it was like jerky - not remotely edible. My 82 year old mom got a turkey sandwich with fries, and the fries came out ice cold - not even lukewarm. Mind you it took 25 minutes to get this horrible food when the place was empty, which gave me lots of time to stare at the filth on the tables and floors around me. Too bad that after only being open such a short time it has been run into the ground - Olga would be ashamed! read more

So, Olga's has been a staple at Crossroads Mall in Portage since I was in high school. I remember trying it once and only once. I don't remember anything bad, but the "Gyro" (Original Olga, I think it's called) was nothing that made me want to go back. Fast forward many(many) years and a co-worker recently raved about the Chicken Shawarma at this new location by Costco. I love Chicken Shawarma. After running errands I decided to stop in on the way home to get one and also decided to try the Original again as well. End result, if you want Chicken Shawarma go to Shawarma King on Drake or the buffet on Westnedge. If you want a Gyro head to Theo & Stacy's or Coney Island. IMO the Shawarma at Olga's was over-seasoned (not salty) and a bit dry. The Olga meat was bland and a little rubbery and the wrap bread was a bit sweet to me and I prefer savory with these types of foods. The entire purchase was overpriced IMO at $16.00+ for 2 wraps and nothing else. For the same 16.00, I can get 3 wraps, some falafel & kibbeh from Shawarma King and 2 Gyro platters(fries & salad) with drinks at Theo & Stacy's. So, while I will not go back for either of these things, I still have recommendations from others for different items to try. It will be a little while before that happens though. read more
