I was seated pretty quickly at Maggie's and I could tell this seemed to be a favorite with some of the senior crowd. For good reason. I would appreciate more attention to orders sent out for delivery. Send ketchup, napkins, utensils, salt, pepper with orders and please send syrup if they order pancakes. I really want this place to be great but not only while dining in. I placed an order while at work for lunch I paid $30 and had someone pick it up for me the order was made wrong I called to let them know if was missing things and not make properly. I was told that at least $9 back sent to my card. I let them know that I could take a picture of the food and sent it to an email or to them some way and I was told no that was not necessary. I then called a week later trying to give the $9 refund time and it never came I then called to let them know and I was told that they could not do it because unfortunately people lie about their food a lot and then was told if I had a photo with proof that it was missing things then they could just remake the order. I then let her know I didn't take the picture because I was told it was not necessary to do and. Now since I don't have the photo the order can't be remade.(I should have just taken it anyway) I asked her well I was told I didn't have to take one to show you and now your telling me I can't get the order remade when it's not my fault I was told unfortunately no we can't make it without proof and it was my fault for telling you that. Like are you serious. I come here all the time never complained and this was the first time my order was messed up and they don't wan to accommodate me. I have no reason to lie when I love this restaurant and it's has always been my favorite spots to stop on the way to work in the mornings. I am very disappointed on how this was handled. I will not be returning or spending my money with them again because I feel played when I am a loyal customer. Oh and another thing I was told I can come get the $9 in cash that day or wait until it come on my card the day I called and I trusted them so I told them I could wait to get the $9 back on my card and not rush to come get the money. Nice cozy environment. Staff are super friendly . Prices are awesome. We ordered philiy cheesesteak sandwich and breakfast option for egg and sausage. The sandwich was delicious and yummy. The steak cooked very well and sauces mix enhanced the flavor. I like it. The breakfast option did not meet with my appetite preference, egg came very runny. The sausages tasted like the frozen ones from market shelf. The hash browns was overly greasy . I hope they work on improving the taste in the future. My wife and I dropped in for a late breakfast the other day. We've been patronizing Maggie's for many years. Almost exclusively the location on campus. So we decided to try the "new" to us place. We were greeted promptly and were told to seat ourselves. The server was right on the spot with coffee and taking our order. The food came quickly and was plated nicely and the food was hot. I had ordered the #2 special with bacon and easy over eggs, and hash browns. Everything was cook perfectly and was delicious. My wife had blueberry pancakes. The said they were soft tender and not rubbery. And LOADED with blueberries!! She loved them! Good service continued when we were finished. Always pleasant and friendly. There's no greeting when I enter the restaurant, and what frustrates me the most is that whenever I order online, they never include syrup or utensils. I've had to waste so many pancakes because they don't include syrup. Why would you serve pancakes without syrup? Since ordering syrup isn't an option, they should include it automatically. I don't think I'll eat here anymore to save money and avoid the hassle. We went to Maggie's on Saturday morning for breakfast and the food was good. But, the place was very crowded with too many tables. It was very hard to get around and my father-in-law who is 90 had a very difficult time getting in and out of his seat. I personally bumped into a couple of people just trying to get around the table. I would strongly suggest that they remove a few tables from the center of the room to make more space to move around. I'm guessing that the number of tables they have exceeds their occupancy limit. We probably won't go back again because there are so many other good breakfast places in the area. read more

Its nice to find local places with decent menus that aren't overpriced. Maggie's was just that. Nothing fancy, very affordable. I love that they serve breakfast all day, but I was already planning on having breakfast for dinner (yes, I love breakfast!) so I went with the spicy chicken wrap and a side salad. It was ok, not fantastic. I love that it was slightly grilled. My coworker ordered the West Coast Ruben which looked amazing and was quite big. She actually only ate half and took the rest with her. I was a little disappointed that I didn't notice the "specials board" before I ordered, or that the server didn't tell us. But that's probably my fault because its quite large over the cash register. I did like that the server used a tablet to take our order, I've never seen that before! All together, a solid place. I would probably do 3.5 stars, but I will round up to 4. read more

Maggie's has been a staple in Kalamazoo for as long as I can remember. I had not been to Maggie's since it moved to the current location on stadium drive, and it's been there for some time. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and WMU decorations and memorabilia. The menu options are great with such variety. I opted for the Coach Murray's sandwich, it has scrambled eggs with diced onions and green peppers. My husband went with the walking breakfast sandwich, which he said was his new favorite breakfast from anyway in kzoo. My kids enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes and egg and cheese quesadilla. This is such a great little hidden place that I had no idea about. My friend recommended it to me when I said I was going to breakfast with another friend. It's a pretty small place, but super cute and such great food. There are tables and booths. Lots of WMU decor. Now the food! Oh my goodness, they have a great variety of things. Pancakes, french toast, burgers, even an olive burger! I ordered 2 blueberry pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The price is good for the amount of food you receive. I asked for a side of fruit and they said they had sold out for the day. The last time we ate in the restaurant virtually our entire meal was comped, due to three out of four of us having long blonde hairs in our food--cooked in, not "accidentally fallen from our own heads"--and our cups were dirty, with food floating in the water. Silly me, I tried to remain loyal, as Maggie's has been around my whole life, ordering takeout from time to time. My breakfast stew with rye toast this morning looks peculiar: like two hard, cold fried eggs, over cooked bacon, and hash browns, with white toast. Their response when I called to complain: "Well, you can bring it back." How about this: you can come get it. Bring a refund with you. Took wife,daughter and grand daughter there this morning. Walked in and took a table because we're fat and didn't want the waitress to be tripping over a high chair. There was a larger group down the middle and a big guy tried seating us at a booth. When we took the table we wanted he gave me a huge dirty look and the waitress was a little rude. So we left. It was a rich and enjoyable brunch at Maggies. We waited for around 15 mins, it was packed on sunday. We ordered the jumbo breakfast and 3 egg omelette with cheese and onions. I want to preface my review by saying that I am an out of town patron, who went to Maggie's cafe because I am getting married in the area and the venue had Maggie's on their list of approved caterers. My fiancé and I thought it would be a great idea to get breakfast at Maggie's Cafe to get an idea about the food, and then find out about their catering. Clearly I am being redundant based on the other reviews listed here when I say that the food was wonderful but the service was sorely lacking. We asked for information on the catering and the waitress told me that everything is online, with an eye roll that signified to me that being 31 makes me out of the loop. I'm a millennial; I get the internet little girl. This actually has no bearing on my one star review. I called the number on the website and left a message for Chuck, who I guess is supposed to be in charge of the catering part? Idk...I never received a call back. I also emailed him the day I left the voicemail; just in case email was his preferred method of contact, as i'm assuming the waitresses was. I waited two months and heard nothing. Now at that point we were a year out for the wedding so I know I was ahead of the game, but I still didn't want to wait until the last minute to find out I have no caterer. When I didn't receive a response, I sent a follow-up email. I rarely use my full name with Dr. in front of it on, well really any correspondence, as I find it rude and pretentious. However, I want good food at my wedding so in the second email I put my education to work at the end of the email and I received a response within the hour. This email stated that they are 90% sure that they can do it with a colon/parenthesis smiley face. What the actual fuck? I asked questions in a return email and never received anything, not a quote, not a "hey, lets get a contract together.", nothing. I signed a contract today with Adeline Leigh Catering who is cheaper, got me a quote within an hour of emailing me, and is on The Knot and Wedding Wire's Best of 2018 Caterer's lists. First and last time customer. Ordered chicken tenders and a waffle. I was given ONE packet of jam. Shit you not. Had I not paid over $20 after delivery, it might have been funny. Apparently after paying $7 for ONE WAFFLE, you have to ask for butter and syrup?! At least that's what the girl said. Kept cutting me off. Even after I pointed out that she was talking over me and I just wanted her to listen and give whoever is packing a heads up--she kept cutting me off and Ultimately she fell back to "Well I just got here so..." The food is delicious!! The environment can't be compared to any other breakfast/lunch places in Kalamazoo. Breakfast and lunch are served all day, with a large variety of dishes. Appeals to all crowds- the hungry college kid, the young syrup sticky kids with their 'rents and those who remember Maggie's from conception.
