Considering this is a seafood and steakhouse restaurant, we were surprised by the size and quality of the shrimp. That said, both our waiter and the manager were very kind and responsive when addressing the issue. We chose not to send the sandwich back a second time, and my husband simply didn't finish his meal. The iced tea was delicious. They prepare it tableside using something similar to a coffee press, which made it taste especially fresh. And the view? Excellent as always.

We own a BBQ joint in Marble Falls, and our work has kept us from trying Oli's food...until last evening! As we left Johnson City, we called ahead and they had 2 plates of Crispy Tacos that came out just as we walked in! They have a little Taco Holder that keeps the shells high and dry...and CRISPY! I bit into Taco Shell Perfection! NOBODY knows how to make a Fresh, Crispy Taco shell, but Oli's proved me wrong. It was so good, we took a plate to go, and took home to our Son-In-Law. He's on a low carb diet, so I got to scarf up the Taco Shells, while he ate the stuff inside! The Salsa is great, the Charro Beans, superb..with a bite. If you happen to go through Round Mountain, be sure to stop at Oli's! If you live in Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, or Johnson City, drive there! You'll find the BEST Mexican Food in the area! People were polite. I was told it's amazing. I had street tacos and they were probably the least authentic and bland I've ever tasted. But again the people were very very nice and professional. Can't say much about the other food, only had the tacos and probably won't be going back. read more

The parking seemed to be pretty full but I was still able to find a spot. I was seated immediately even though they were pretty full. I will say they are very clean and the staff is very friendly/attentive. The chips and salsa come out pretty quick. The chips are just okay; taste more store bought than anything else. I am used to chips that are a little saltier. I know I can add salt, but it isn't the same as putting salt right after they come out the the fryer. The salsa is really just a red sauce. It is a bit spicy but not like having a good salsa. Checking the photos, the "Flag Plate" seemed to be a good idea. It's three different enchiladas with rice and beans. And when they say "hot plate" you really need to heed that warning. I don't think my plate ever cooled to a point where I could touch it with my bare hand. But this I did appreciate. Most places, the plate goes cold so quick and the food does as well. For the Flag Plate, one enchilada is cheese, another is a sour cream chicken and the third is "Beef Spanish" whatever that means. I tried the beef and chicken and really wasn't impressed so I just ate the cheese. But speaking of cheese, there certainly is no shortage of that for the entire dish. I'm not not used to enchiladas with the amount of the cheese that goes into theirs. When I have had chicken enchiladas, all my life it has been shredded chicken in a red sauce. This was chunky chicken and some sour cream sauce and again, the heaps of cheese. I was disappointed to find out when I arrived that they are "cash only" and did not see that before. I see now some people did comment on that, but it very rare to encounter a place that is only cash. They do have an ATM inside, but of course, you have to pay a service charge for using the ATM. All in all, it was almost $30 for one person with no drinks (I only had water). For that price and being forced to pay using an ATM I would not come back here. Even had I known the cash only policy up front, I prefer to pay with a card. Less hassle than carrying cash and if you have a card that awards miles or rewards, it's always nicer to use the card. The food was okay but nothing I would go out of my way to eat as I did.

Highly recommend. The buffalo chicken wrap was too spicy for my mother who ordered it, but she said it would be ideal for anyone who can handle spice. She opted for fried chicken pieces over grilled which they tossed in Buffalo sauce, but she wasn't expecting the sauce to be in the wrap itself. (I'll admit, she has a low spice tolerance). I ordered the baked potato soup and it was very good. Thick and chunky with delicious sourdough crostini's to dip. I wish it had slightly more flavor, but I would order it again. My two year old devoured his (first!) corn dog, but it's pretty hard to mess up a corn dog. The Wave is a welcome addition to Lake LBJ and we are so excited to have another place to eat when out on the water. There are ~5 boat slips that can fit 2 boats each, and jet ski parking.
