I'm originally from the north Jersey area so we know great Italian food. I'm usually skeptical and critical of places out of that area, but I have to say this place did not disappoint me at all. I just wanted a quick bite for dinner and was staying at the Best Western next door. I ordered a meatball parm sandwich to go. I got a good feeling when I walked in and the aroma hit home with me. The place was packed (another good sign) and the sandwich was awesome! Perfect amount of sauce, meatballs and sauce were delicious and they toasted the roll which most places don't do. Angelo's does it again. Been here many times. Only a 15-20 minute wait time for take-out order and they were BUSY! It's definitely worth the time and money because you can't fake good food. Looks are deceiving, the building is quaint but you are missing out if you pass this up. The meal came with salad and TWO whole medium loaves of garlic bread, plus homemade sauces. Can't speak for all of the food but the pizza is amazing. Best place in the area by far although getting through to their phone line is a bit difficult. Only criticism is that you have to request well done if you want the pie to come out correctly. And fresh mushrooms would make the veggie pizza that much better. You never see this anymore, but my wife asked the waitress if she had ever heard of an Italian dish "chicken spiedini". She said no, but went and got the owner and chef Lisa who came out to our table When my wife explained what it was, 10 minutes later, our waitress placed it in front of my wife. It was amazing!! Was in town passing through on a business trip up to North Jersey. Stayed off I-95 in this town (first exit into GA if coming from FL). Delicious food. Amazing people in both the restaurant as well as in the town as a whole. Low and behold... Even in the southern state of Georgia... some Italian named Angelo has reigned supreme with staying in business due to great pasta and Tastee Pizza! Been out town helping keep your internet on. 1st day off in a few weeks. We were waited a long time for wait staff just to take order. Other orders came out to people that came after us and we still never got our drinks. We still never placed an order. During the pandemic we ordered from Angelo's at least 20 times. Service was very good. We got a large pizza 1/2 meatball with extra sauce, and the garlic bread appetizer. We all had water to drink. We were passing through on a road trip and decided to stop here for dinner. The garlic bread comes with sauce that has a green pepper taste to it. It was just okay for me. I'm glad we got the extra sauce on the pizza. I think it was different than the garlic bread sauce. The cheese was tasty and would have liked more meatballs on the pizza. It was hard to taste them. Finally, the water. I'm not sure what to say about it. It had a taste, like from a well. I couldn't drink it. I highly recommend adding a filter for the water. The ambiance was great. The food is amazing! We tried the calzone, spaghetti Alfredo, meatball sub, and the roast beef sub. Everything was delicious. The portions are huge compared to the price. They have amazing staff that are friendly and make you feel valued no matter how busy they are. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and inviting as well.
