While vacationing at the Omni, we tried this place for a birthday dinner. From the moment we walked in, this was a great experience! The venue itself is in the tennis court section which ironically was quite calming. Waitstaff was extremely helpful and attentive throughout the meal. They start you with a focaccia bread and two tapenades which were delicious. They make pasta fresh here daily and also rotate the menu seasonally so all the dishes are seasonally fresh. We tried the crab dip ($22) to start, which tasted fresh and was quite flavorful. I tried the grouper for $48. This is a dish that is always on the menu and was quite flavorful, hearty, and well flavored. Highly recommend! My husband tried the steak for $55 and felt it was good, not great. My children tried the pasta with butter and loved it. As it was my birthday, the waiter surprised us with a small dessert with a candle for my family to sing happy birthday which was a really nice surprise! My wife and I split a nice portion. But was very average flavor. Also, we had to ask for extra parmesan cheese. You would think they would offer when serving. All I can say is wow! My husband and I came here to celebrate our 7 year anniversary and Shawn the bartender made it the best night ever! I started with a tiramisu martini that was heavenly and my husband adored the mezcal margaritas! We shared the octopus appetizer and it was perfect! I just wish it had been bigger! We also shared the blue crap drip. It was good, but didn't really feel like a dip. It had a lot of spinach and artichokes in it. There wasn't much dip texture. It was still good. Cool experience and we had wanted to check out some of the restaurants at the Omni. A little hard to locate right off the bat, but we found it! (Maybe easier if you are staying at Omni). It was later in the evening so a little quite, but nice table set ups and the were creating homemade pasta at a station in the front to immediately entice us! We thought the overall meal was good, but didn't blow us away. For the price we feel like we could have gotten better elsewhere. This is definitely Amelia island's finest restaurant. We were staying in the Omni hotel resorts and this was place was strongly recommended. So glad we tried it out. The moment you enter the restaurant you will get a fantastic service, delicious food, and an enjoyable evening with friends and family. We were a group of eight so made reservations ahead of time. You can make reservations right from the Omni hotel website. In the beginning they start you out with delicious bread, olives and rosemary olive oil tomato purée. They make all their pasta in house and each pasta dish we ordered was amazing. The cheese board is a sure winner and a must order. Another favorite was the Florida Snapper. Loved how it was presented and the taste was exquisite. You cannot leave without trying out the desserts, we ordered the tiramisu and olive oil cake. I was not a big fan of the pear dessert. Live music and a great ambiance. Kids menu was 52 dollars, I don't think it was worth it. One of my kids had spaghetti and meatballs, and the other one a fried piece of fish with mashed potatoes and a carrot, they didn't like it. It came with a cup of fruit and a scoop of ice cream. We ordered several appetizers, entrees and desserts to share. We all enjoyed the complimentary cornbread and scones. Oysters were delicious-fresh and briny tasting. Fried green tomatoes were just ok. I thought the tomatoes could have been cut thicker and the cornmeal crust crispier. Deviled eggs were a perfect creamy bite. My Swordfish was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the ratatouille. Fried chicken was tender and with a crispy coating. Mashed potatoes were perfect, but the collard greens too salty. Shrimp Cavatelli was ok but nothing too special. I felt the dish was overly salty. The desserts were all delicious!! I can't even pick a favorite. The Orange Chèvre Cheesecake was citrusy and light. One of the few fancy places that were listed at our stay at the Omni. We decided to have a nice dinner here and the ambience was just right. Appointments can be made but you could also walk right in just as we did. We were super hungry so we had ordered a crap ton of food. They give you some kind of delicious bread in the beginning as you wait, it came with some tomato paste and olives. I thought it was truly delicious and I recommend to skip the apps if anything. We had ordered the charcuterie board and the flaming parmesan cheese. The cheese was delicious initially when it was hot and melted but afterwards, it was whatever. The charcuterie board was good as well but wasn't given enough by the price we paid. Prosciutto was excellent but I could go without it if anything. My pesto linguine was good and I could taste it being freshly made but the chef was a bit heavy handed on the salt. Which kind of ruined the dish. My favorite course was the tiramisu cake, so so so worth it. Do not skip. Our waitress was such a delight. Everything was pretty dope. read more

We had a 530 pm reservation because we wanted to eat an early dinner. The initial girls who greeted us needed an attitude adjustment, they were unaccommodating and didn't seem like they really wanted to work or serve people. they said the restaurant isn't open yet and we couldn't come in and I said really don't you have 5 o'clock reservations?? we just wanted to sit and have a drink at the bar and wait until our reservation. They said we couldn't do that, we would have to wait outside. I thought this was very odd and these two girls, if they worked for me, I would've fired them. Luckily the bartender came to the rescue and came and got us outside and offered us a drink at the bar while we waited. Very nice man. he made me a watermelon margarita, which was outstanding. The food at this restaurant is outstanding. They have an amazing chef. We started off with a hot crab dip and finished the entire thing! Delicious we split a Caesar salad also very good and very creative. And we had the grouper for our entrée outstanding. This is one of their signature dishes, but well worth it. We were super excited about this restaurant after hearing that they keep bees and have a farm that supports the menu. We also were really looking for fresh, local seafood. We had a 7:30 pm reservation and were asked to wait before being seated when no one else was ahead of us. We ordered the Bees knees and the Smokey watermelon cocktails and they were fantastic. Especially the Smokey watermelon one, really surprising combo there! Appetizers we got the charred octopus and that whole plate was really amazing. We've had charred octopus all over and this was hands down the best. Also got the pate. Totally different than any pate I've ever had, in a good way. It was more fatty and truly creamy with fruit and fruit gels. Really surprising, original and really good! We paired our dinner with a great Chardonnay recommended by our waiter...more on him later! We were here for the seafood so got the red snapper and the grouper entrees. Both great presentations and accompaniments were prefect! The snapper had gnocchi...very tender and creamy and the snapper was done just right. Tender, flavorful with a nice crisp on the outside. The grouper was also outstanding...it was topped with a blue crap/cheese that was crispy on top and the grouper had tender and fresh tasting texture. There were some obviously very fresh vegetables with each entree all done wonderfully. Honestly one of the best parts of the meal was the service. FOH Kevin, who was new to the restaurant, was there at all the right times and engaging and helpful and excited for our 25th anniversary. Our waiter was Haydar who was helpful and conscientious of when each dish came out, very charming and even arranged for a special treat for our anniversary. Ambiance was appropriate and the place feels roomy and our table felt very private. Loved it! Surprisingly for a meal we liked 100 times more than Bob's steakhouse our bill was $100 LESS! During concours weekend, its tough to find dinner reservations for a large party, so luckily we found this place. Service was very good and the meal pacing was perfect. Ordered the octopus and Wainwright parmesan to split with the table for appetizers. Octopus was cooked perfectly, a nice char, but still tender. The cheese appetizer was their version of Greek saganaki. It comes flaming to the table and it was heavenly. I could have eaten another order for my entree and been satisfied. The wait staff recommended the grouper since its been on the menu for 30 years(?). It was very nicely cooked and the accompanying mashed potatoes and carrots were great. I thought the fish could have had more flavor since it was kinda bland; I guess keeping it simple makes it work for most. This was ok in every way. The inside decor and ambiance was ok (but not good), the service was fine (but not great), and the food was ok (but not memorable in any way). We were here for Easter, so they had a set tasting menu, which all looked good, but was really underwhelming in actuality. The bread was clearly sitting for a long time before being served (the cut pieces were cold and stale), the salad was quite good, and the entree was way overcooked and mediocre (I had the grouper, my wife and daughter had chicken). Overall, we spent almost $500 after tip on dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids and 1 cocktail, and it was very underwhelming. I wouldn't typically leave a negative review, but I wish someone had left one before I booked here so I could have made a better decision and gone somewhere else.
