I know because my order that was to be ready for pick-up in 20 minutes wasn't done until 35 minutes after the order was placed so I was standing there and watched the cook pull both pizzas from the traditional oven, cut them and put them in the box. The Aloha was a disappointment. Very uneven sauce application - heavy on some slices, almost absent on others. Canned pineapple pieces with no cook/char on them at all. Crust edges were thin and crispy, BUT the edges only. Middle of pizza was NOT fully baked which left it soft/soggy. The Rustica had potential. Good flavor profile, but the soft barely cooked middle and barely melted cheese in the middle were big detractions. Servers seemed very disorganized yet only five tables (out of 14 total) had customers so they were not very busy. DISAPPOINTING! Will not be back. read more

We ordered garlic knots, and the caprese appetizers and the garlic knots were so good. They were super fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. We also ordered the honey hot pizza and the Bianca Rosa pizza. Both were hot and delicious. There were 4 of us, and we were very hungry and still had leftovers. We've lived here for a while and noticed it was rarely busy. Finally tried it the other night and we were really disappointed with the pizza. We ordered with three toppings, which they recited to us when they delivered the pizza to the table. Two ingredients were missing and the third hardly had any. How could the waiter recite the toppings and not see any on the pie??? The crust was burned and not good. We like thin crust but this was like a burned pita. Salads were very good and beer was cold but there are way better pies on the island. We may go back for the salad but not the pizza which BTW was expensive. read more

He noticed the look on my face and began to apologize. He said they cook called in sick and a new kid was making pizza's. He immediately said he'd have him remake it. Sunday 9/13 8:30pm Takeout Fernandina Beach rolls up the sidewalks very early on Sundays, even in the summer. After a busy day exploring the island and shopping, we wanted a pizza to take back to the rental. Some places were closed, one had oven issues, we kept striking out. I hesitantly called Arte Pizza because they were closing in 30 minutes, I was afraid my order would be refused so close to closing. . The waiter who answered the phone said no problem! We ordered the 16" Della Carni ($20), garlic knots ($10) and desserts ($7 each). The waiter said our order would be ready in 15 minutes! I was surprised that it would be so fast! I would have waited hours for this pizza! It was incredible! The crust is nice and thin but it held up to the abundance of meat toppings! The sauce, cheese and toppings were top quality. Garlic knots were fluffy with loads of fresh garlic and butter. Now for the desserts! After a couple pizza slices, we had to hold the desserts for the next day's breakfast. My tiramisu was definitely one of the best I've ever had. The lady fingers were soaked in plenty of coffee and the marscapone cheese/cream was fluffy and flavorful. The cheesecake was not only delicious but decorative too. In addition to the next pizza in FB, Arte's has pasta, paninis and salads. Great Wall of wine to fine your perfect pairing. We ordered 2 different kinds and both were excellent - thin crust and plentiful toppings. We also ordered delicious garlic knots that were served with parmesan cheese and marinara sauce. Our server was so kind and knowledgeable about the food on the menu and the wines. I had a glass of Prosecco and my husband ordered a Malbec. She brought my little lady pizza dough to play with and talked to my older girly about what she was sketching in her sketchbook. We ordered a few things for the table to share. 1. Meatball appetizers. 2. The Amalfi salad with shrimp. 3. Spaghetti and meatballs (I know, more meatballs). 4. Chef's pizza (subbed ricotta for feta). The meatballs were fantastic. The sauce they were served in was the perfect consistency, and seasoned beautifully. They were topped with shreds of fresh basil, which I think makes everything better. The salad was a pleasant surprise. So often you order a salad out, thinking it would be nice to have some greens, and it leaves much to be desired, so when I find a salad that is fulfilling, I get really excited. This salad was so thoughtfully built, complete with Gorgonzola, walnuts, dried cherries, and a balsamic dressing. Perfection. I did not try the spaghetti, but my kids loved it. It was topped with the same meatballs and sauce (and fresh basil) as the appetizer. My five-year-old almost made herself sick on the meatballs, because she couldn't stop. The pizza. Holy wood fired spirits rejoice. Order the 16 inch if you love leftover pizza like I do. I was delighted that they let me swap the feta out and add ricotta. Ricotta on pizza is my love language. The crust was delightfully crisp, but not falling apart. The sauce, which I believe was the same as what was on the meatballs, was the perfect amount of tang to compliment the ricotta. More fresh basil (yes yes yes). I'm not generally into "meat lovers" pizzas, but the pepperoni and crumbly sausage did not disappoint.
