About 5 years ago, I was in Julian with girlfriends instead of my husband and we went inside. First of all, Kathy is such a sweet lady and so is the other gal with the small dog. They are both very nice and helpful! They have dresses, pants, tops, jackets, cute clocks up high, and some cute gift items. Through this shop, I was turned onto Jess & Jane brand tops, which I love (along with some other nice brands). Jess & Jane are often 100% cotton (yeah!) and are made in the USA (big applause). Every time we visit Julian (once or twice a year), I come in here and almost always find something. They also typically have a sale rack out on the front porch. They have a nice little dressing room so that you can try things on before buying. Check this place out on your visit!

By the time we got to Julian, I was a distraught mess since we only had less than an hour to find me a new ensemble. Kathy was so incredibly helpful. She found a very nice dress for me to wear and was even willing to hem it if necessary. Thankfully, it didn't come to that. She also helped me find a great necklace to go with my new outfit. I had already paid by the time I realized I didn't have earrings to match. Kathy gave me a pair of earrings to take with me. I just can't say enough good things about her. The outfit turned out to be better than the one I forgot at home. She really came through in a pinch, and I'll be forever grateful.

However, as with many thrift type stores, I found some of the items to be unreasonably priced. Take a look at my photos and videos below to see. They did have some clothes 50%, which I though was a great deal. Their shoes were in pretty good condtion and while not super cheap, I think they are reasonable if you cannot find that same shoe online or in-stores anymore. At the time I came, they did not have real gold jewelry. I asked one of the associates and I believe Deborah herself answered when she said it wouldn't be available for another hour. Deborah was deep into what very much appeared to be researching her items before listing them for sale. Cool place to check out, but definitely consider skipping the store items and bags as you can find better prices elsewhere. Unless you want to support a local business, of course.

Upon looking around a heavy set woman answering the phone got up from her desk area and proceeded to walk all the way across the store to make sure that my husband and I didn't steal anything. She was very helpful and if she didn't have an answer to your question, she was on the phone with the owner to get you an answer. I went in a week before Halloween so they had a few selections in that theme. They were ready for fall and Christmas, so more of that theme was displayed. Very cute merchandise and I thought the prices were reasonable. I made a few fall purchases and greeting cards too. The clerk had her section of merchandise for sale and was willing to work out a deal if you were to purchase any of them. I saw this cute candy corn tree! Her merchandise which she was willing to come down on. I passed because I don't need anymore Halloween decor! If you are in the area check them out!
