The location for this restaurant is great they have the option to eat indoors or outdoors. The accessible option was to eat only outside which could be viewed as inaccessible especially during the cold weather. (Didn't ask if they had a ramp to possible go inside so they might be able to make accommodation) The tables outside were bar height that is a little too high for an electric wheelchair user. Overall the food and ambience was amazing I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Briefly, horrible waits with no apology, some incredibly mediocre food which was insultingly overpriced, and just the feeling that they opened on a Saturday night where they couldn't be bothered to have a manager on premises, just a server and some people in the back. We felt had, and mistreated, and the dropped $320 for that experience. It was a nearly empty place, yet we had to wait for about 45 minutes (maybe an hour) for the first food to arrive, and the food arrived in three different servings spread out over 16 minutes. After each plate was put down, we were told "we'll be right back", and then they were not. No apology or acknowledgement. Well, they can fix their service, but that won't fix that they charge $35 for "ribeye nachos" and $35 for "ribeye fries", which is really just tough bits of a cheap cut of steak over frozen fries. When you pay steak prices, you expect something way better than that. It is rare I feel "ripped off", but this was one of those times. It was also annoying that as a Mexican restaurant, they told us they were out of beans. That would be forgivable, but it is just one more thing that added to the impression of this place. On the positive side, the server was friendly, and the drinks came promptly. But still, the server did not apologize for the crazy waits for food and not putting all the plates down at the same time. One of our party said it looked like the staff was partying out back when he went to the restroom. This place just had the feeling of a place where the owner could not be bothered to have any kind of management on site to make sure the customer had a good experience.

Service was amazing, so quick to come out with fresh chips and salsa (FRESH! as in they made the chips in-house... rare trait to come by these days IMO). Quantity of food was incredible. I can't speak for the menudo (dad got this) or for the 3 egg platter (not really sure why my mom got this) but $16 for a carne asada burrito as well as the beans, rice, and veggies on the side was such a steal. Especially in Anza Borrego. I would've thought it would maybe be more expensive since it probably costs a lot to bring out the best ingredients in the desert but somehow they have it all figured out. The carne asada burrito meat was top tier. Smoky flavor, soft with charred edges, so flavorful and overall the quantity of the burrito was way more than I was expecting. Lastly, I'm just so happy my dog got to sit outside with us. They have a shaded patio with a couple tables. I think other pet parents followed suit, as this seems to be a hit for dog-friendly spots here in Anza Borrego. I'd highly recommend. What a great find by me. Go me!! This is truly a hole in the wall that needs more recognition. You won't be let down!

It was late in the day, just after 2pm before closing at 3pm. They were sold out of couple side items. It was a bit windy that day, so it was very chilly. We started with a cup of creamy tomato soup. That hit the warm cozy spot! We decided on the bbq brisket sandwich with the potato salad. OMG, it was the perfect pairing! The sweetness of the sauce from the brisket and the tangy potato salad. I ate every bite together! I love fries and sweet potato fries, but they were sold out. Staff were super nice! There were still customers coming in for lunch after us. There is a small outdoor patio area where you can eat if you have dogs. Lunch was so yummy! Thank goodness we decided to come here instead of the other restaurants/diners on the Main Street! 2026: 20

There is only one bathroom available. The food was good overall, but the portions for the half soup and sandwich special were very small. On the positive side, the vegan burger was very good and a generous size. Service was just okay--our waitress forgot our coffee and never checked back with us after dropping off the check.
