Very seldom, do l get serviced by the owners. I had their Caesar Salad, and can you believe it had tomotoes. I added extra because I love tomatoes. Next, I had their Lobster Ravioli. It was seasoned very well, and the lobster hit the spot. Now, their desert was on point. I had their lemon cello!! Boy, oh boy, was that good; creamy, and everything.... I will be back. Decided to try this little spot with my husband and our good friend. I couldn't decide if I wanted Italian or Mediterranean. Everything on the menu sounded so good! We tried the dip sampler, and thoroughly enjoyed it. For entrees we ordered the Seafood Paella, Lobster Ravioli, and the Beef & Lamb Gyro plate. Chicken Souvlaki is one of my favorite Greek dishes, but what I was served was inedible. It had none of the delishous complex flavors of Souvlaki and was so overdone the chicken was dry and tough. The tzatziki was bland - could not taste cucumber, garlic or lemon. The salad dressing on the plain iceberg lettuce salad was just oil and vinegar - no discernible Greek spices, no cucumber, no onion, no olives, just 3 pieces of tomato, 1 teaspoon of feta. The service was dreadful, for which they apologized, saying they had a lot of customers all arriving at the same time. We had to ASK for our wine, and our silverware. I understand staffing issues, and would happily wait if the food was good. Sadly, that was not the case. read more

My score is 3.75 stars actually. First time in, chose it over Jersey Mike's next door just to try it. Was tempted and sold on the gyro with fries by the nice man at the bar who's sales pitch was "Huge gyro with a ton of fries". So how did they do? Pros: Nice place, welcoming, friendly staff. Food was very, very tasty. Cons: I'm dinging them on the value (Meal was almost $16 and some change) simply because their employee talked it up. NEVER over promise and under deliver, especially to a brand new patron. Personal Nitpicks: No napkins with the order, no lettuce on the gyro. I do recommend trying this place. Stopped in for lunch. The Souvlaki platter hit the spot for my wife. The beef lasagna was very tasty and surprisingly light -- perfect for lunch. The baklava is made in-house. It's well balanced between the buttery phyllo, honey and nuts. Haven't found many in Denver that can rival. read more

Me and The Hubs have had lunch here half a dozen times or more since my original review. In the past year, Olive Branch has greatly improved their ambiance and we kept talking about doing a date night here. We recently (finally!) went for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We went mid-week with a reservation (not sure if we would have actually needed it, but they were doing a brisk business so I would make one again). We shared a Fried Calamari appetizer that was really good. The calamari were perfectly cooked. It came with what they call tartar sauce as well as marinara. I hate tartar sauce, HOWEVER theirs is more of an aioli that was super tasty. I ended up pretty much ignoring the marinara and went with the aioli. For an entree I ordered the Shrimp Souvlaki (Marinated shrimp skewers, Greek salad, saffron rice, pita, tzatziki) and The Hubs ordered the Mediterranean Pasta with Shrimp (homemade pasta, artichokes, tomatoes, asparagus, olives, feta, and lemon extra virgin olive oil sauce). We both very much enjoyed our dinners. In addition to beer and wine, they do have alcohol, and since they have Campari I was able to enjoy a very nice Negroni that evening. Score!! read more

We ate here this week and it was refreshingly good. The staff was well trained. They offered lots of gluten free options. Coffee was fresh and tasty. We had different versions of the souvlaki dishes. Our first time at this restaurant, there were 6 adults and 2 young boys; celebrating a birthday! They set us as soon as we arrived and all set up! The service was super! Terrible does not do justice to how truly terrible this dinner was. I am Greek and this food doesn't even approach chain restaurant Greek food like Renzios or Tazikis. Over an hour wait for food that was lukewarm and just plain awful. Avgolemono soup made from canned cream of chicken? Spanakopita made without phyllo and almost no cheese. Dried out chicken. A gyros sandwich that was completely unpalatable.Oh no. This is not Greek food and most definitely not a place we will ever go to again. We left our food , paid the bill and will say we have eaten here twice: first and last time. Don't ,just don't ,waste your money or your time. read more

Fairly new restaurant -- the menu looks great and the lemon chicken piccata is delicious. The chicken and the sauce have a lot of varied and complementary flavors. They brought out some fluffy homemade rolls before dinner too. Many of the menu items can be made gluten friendly which is fantastic. The owner Chris and his wife are delightful.
