Went to Farro tonight for dinner. We live fairly close by and we like live music. About 2 days a week they have a live act and we enjoyed it. I had the lasagna and it was good. The antipasto plate was what my husband had and he enjoyed it. Our server wasn't overly friendly or attentive, but in fairness he was also being a bartender as well. First time at Farro and it won't be the last! I had one of the best spaghetti seafood ever!! Owners are onsite and attentive. The dessert was delicious! I have been in very expensive Italian restaurants and nothing has surpassed the quality and taste. The seafood and pasta was cook at perfection! There is live music too! The food has deteriorated over the last couple of years. The mediterranean chicken used to be a quarter of a chicken on the bone and was delicious one of the best things on the menu now it's one single small breast that's somewhat dry not even close to what it used to be. The lasagna was pasty, almost inedible. The sizzling shrimp appetizer is still good. The salad is decent however it really is not what it used to be the order of the lamb chops. You get the cheap T-bone lamb chops instead of the lollipop lamb chops, which are more expensive and taste much better you're just not getting a lot for your money and a lot of food. There is just not up to par Two stars on the food. The service was good. The ambience was good. It's not somewhere I would think of going unless I happen to be in the area and I was starving. I never give poor reviews but my experience was awful. First the Pomegranate cocktail I ordered basically tasted like the liquor. No Vodka in it. When I asked to just have the vodka & Cranberry juice. The waiter seemed frustrated. He did not really show hospitality. I got a glass of ice w/a small amt. of Cranberry/Vodka. My Pork Loin was dry & difficult to chew. The spinach was soaked in balsamic Vinegratte. I couldn't eat it. Really disappointed that I spent $56. We live in CA and visit family here 2-3 times a year. We discovered Farro about 4 years ago and we always come when we're in town. Farro never disappoints. The dining experience is always excellent...a basket of bread when we are seated, a friendly server who is attentive during the whole meal and great food. Appetizers...excellent calamari and an assortment of salads, pastas, entrees and desserts. They have a kids' menu as well. They've recently added live music on Wednesday nights which we enjoyed. But it still has a quiet ambiance. Tonight our server was Francisco and in addition to being great at his job, he took time to converse with us, ask us how we liked the music and other questions about our visit. It was getting late and my husband and I needed a place to eat, after a few places didn't work out we stumbled on Farro Italian Restaurant. We did not want to eat in the restaurant so we ordered food before going grocery shopping and after we were done the food was ready. Farro is located right next to grocery store so it was very convenient for us. I will be honest I did not have high expectations based on us not knowing a lot about this restaurant prior to ordering food and with how quickly our food was ready however they vastly exceeded all of my expectations! For dinner I ordered the Strozzapreti with chicken, it was soooooo good! The noodles were a fun shape and the sauce was a creamy white sauce the chicken was definitely fresh and delicious. They also use special take out containers that kept the food hot until we got home. We also got complementary bread which was fresh and perfectly buttered and seasoned. The bread paired perfectly with the pasta and each bite was better than the one before. Next time I am in town I will be back and maybe next time we will even eat in the restaurant to better absorb the atmosphere! read more

We got a Seafood Bouillabaisse, and it had jalapeños in it!! is this supposed to be some type of Mexican/Italian fusion restaurant because it was really horrible and almost too hot to eat unless you love hot foods! We were not rushed (some reviews say this) My food was good simple chick parm spaghetti red sauce cheese chicken good hot and ok size. My friend however was not happy she made clear what she wanted it was made wrong sauce. Remade empty mussel shells no clams way too much sauce swimming in it, waitress said she would fix it but did not. Table was freezing cold. Front door opened and closed 25-30 times blasting us with gush of cold air each time. Due to so many to go grub hub uber eats drivers. There was a heater close to the table my friend kicked it on. I could not feel it.so they must know about this (don't care?).My friend ordered 1/2 kraft wine with 2 glasses. They brought her 2 glasses wine and the 1/2 kraft adding $20 worth of wine she did not order. The waitress acted like she did not understand. 2 EMPTY glasses to drink the 1/2 kraft. Here is what you do for best experience 1 don't let them seat you in front if it's cold 2 order wine but don't say anything about glasses if you order kraft or bottle 3 order only menu items don't change any ingredients (they won't get it likely) 4 if they get your order wrong just eat it be adventurous (they won't fix it likely) 5 follow these steps for a good time and you can write a good review Overall good experience, great meatloaf and really good chicken penne thing i can't pronounce. Deliziosa! My family had the BEST takeout meal from Farro, it exceeded all expectations. I had the Tuscan white bean soup and it was perfection. The beans were perfectly creamy and I could taste fresh herbs with just the right amount of prosciutto. I am on a hunt for recipes that might recreate it, it's perfect for fall weather! For my main, I had the Seafood Farro. It was packed with mussels, shrimp, scallops, clams, calamari, and white fish; the slices of jalapeno really set it off without being too spicy or powerful. I savored every bite! My husband had the lasagna and devoured it with joy. Our son had the kid's spaghetti with meatballs and he literally squirmed with joy as he ate his entire plate (very unusual for him). We had a bottle of special Montepulciano we had been saving, and this special meal with the perfect time to drink it. This is my fifth visit to Farro so I think I got enough experience to justify my review. My latest visit was after they open back up after the CoVID situation was lifted to orange zone. I had a great time and really enjoyed the food, service, and vibe here. The food was really delicious and didn't disappoint me one bit. We started with the calamari and the P.E.I mussels and both were yummy. The mussels dish is our every time thing. The broth was really good and it tasted perfectly delicious with the fresh mussels . Some other restaurants kinda cook this too salty or too bland..hit or miss . The calamari was great too originally thought the sauce was too sweet but it went really well with the fried pickles. The dressing on my arugula salad was a bit too sour and tangy but over all it was not bad. Would have been better with a touch of sweetness in the dressing. We got the pork loins and the chicken Parmesan spaghetti and both were very satisfying. The side potatoes on the pork loins were cooked very well and just perfect. Outside was crispy with the fried Panko and the inside was soft and delicious. Service here is always friendly and warm in my opinion. I have never had a bad experience yet. The staffs were very polite and eager to present what best here. We ordered the calamari, Pasta Di Mare, Bolognese, Chicken Marsala, and a bottle of Valpolicella (my favorite). The calamari was some of the best I've had. Perfectly (lightly) fried, perfectly cooked, and deliciously seasoned and paired with arugula (yum). The peppery flavor of the arugula combined with the saltiness of the calamari were amazing. I was so disappointed in the Bolognese. The sauce lacked a certain fresh-tomato-sweetness and it just felt heavy. Having had Bolognese in Italy, I was hoping for the same fresh flavor. The Marsala was delicious, except for the fact that the chicken was bone-dry. It ruined an otherwise tasty dish. The Di Mare was THE BEST thing on the table. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked... absolutely divine. I would eat here every day and order this. The wine: I can't pass up a Valpolicella, and while I prefer the bottles from Veneto, this Campolieti from Marano di Valpolicella was the perfect pairing. This is the best Italian restaurant I've ever found Centennial. Sally and I had dinner here tonight. It was phenomenal. Highly recommend the Buffalo ravioli, and the sausage and peppers for diner. After a day of traveling we were pretty exhausted and just wanted to pick up some food and good home. The first place we went to was closed, then we went to the grocery store to get something from the deli and it was also closed. We noticed a smart Italian restaurant in the plaza and after looking over the menu decided to give it a try. We called our order in and our food was ready in able 15 - 20 minutes. Once home we got into it. I got the Spaghetti with Meatballs and Ashley got the Strozzapreti-Chicken which includes Prosciutto, Peas, Telaggio Cream. Once home we quickly got into our food. We also noticed it came what fresh bread that was really good. I will say it was some of the better pasta dishes we have had. My Spaghetti was very tasty and the meatballs were cooked to the point that they were still tender and juice. I feel like most times lately they are over cooked. The Strozzapreti was for sure the highlight of Ashley dish. The pasta was so good and the Telaggio cream sauce really went well with it too. Both dishes we would for sure order ago. If your second guessing Farro don't. Give it a shot, I can say the dishes we got will not let you down. read more

Unfortunately has declined greatly. Food was expensive and lacked quality and flavor. The Chicken Marsala was over cooked and bland. Up charge for gluten free pasta and there was literally 10 noodles in the entire dish. $23 for a mediocre dish. What is an Italian restaurant without Spumoni ice cream? Farro used to have some that was fantastic. Now it $6.00 for two very small scoops of a poor rendition that has rancid tasting pistachios.... Prices have increased everywhere but when quality slips and portions shrink - not worth returning. read more

This place came wildly recommended and highly praised. I looked at the reviews which were mostly stellar as well so we decided to try it. We had one of the brick oven pizzas, the meatball and the chicken Marsala which is always a favorite. We found the best thing to be the bread that they serve before the meal. It is family friendly, has a full bar where you can meet friends, daily specials (don't get too attached), a great menu variety and nice wine......and really good bread with jardiniere! When we dined in, the chef checked on us to see that we enjoyed our dinner! This time, I decided to grab takeout! I chose a palisade peach, arugula and goat cheese salad to split. I decided to try two of the specials: fresh trout and a NY strip that came with potatoes. I brought them home...my husband had made appetizers, so we split the salad, split the trout...but were too full for the steak. The trout tasted fresh and wild caught with little potato wedges that were perfect. Ok, so we had a fancy steak that was now leftovers! Yikes! The next night, I was not home for dinner and I told my husband to have the steak. I ate a protein bar while I ran errands. My husband cooked the steak on half power in the microwave. He texted me and I took a picture of his text: Best NY Strip Ever! Joe liked how tender the steak was, and love the potato accompaniment. I am pretty sure we will be going back to Farro! It was way overpriced for what you get and with a few other Italian places within 5 miles, would suggest those first. Found this neighborhood Italian restaurant with great service and excellent dishes. The starter bread basket is served with pickled veggies with vinegar dressing- so different and savory. I had spaghetti and meatballs and it is so different than any other I had before. Less saucy but full of flavors. The other dish we tried was linguini with yet a unique more soupy sauce. The bread pudding dessert is served warm with whipped cream. Great experience and the staff is very welcoming. read more

About 6 weeks ago my family of four spent about $150 for dinner here. I became violently ill afterwards vomiting throughout the night and next day along with diarrhea. It was horrible. A couple of weeks later I called the restaurant and spoke to the owner. He apologized and we had a long conversation about it and invited me and my husband to come back to have dinner on the house when I was ready. I called him a few weeks later and kept getting his voicemail but I did leave a message. He never called me back. He also told me he would let his employees know to expect us to I called to make a reservation and the person I talked to knew nothing about it. So I've decided there are plenty of really good Italian restaurants around town so we really don't need Farros. What was so unfortunate is that the owner really seemed sincere etc but never came through. Won't be going back and definitely will not recommend this restaurant. read more

Well, this is your typical family owned Italian joint with a good amount of regulars...judging by the patrons we saw and how they interacted with the staff etc. the food was decent but lacked a certain wow factor I was hoping for, based on many of the reviews. Our server was good, a little busy but polite and made decent recommendations. I will say the best part of the meal was our main course, the house lasagna. Solid food and service with a great wine menu. I usually only visit Farro on special occasions (twice a year) but I am always impressed regardless of what I order. First off, don't ruin your appetite with appetizers but the fresh mozzarella and calamari are wonderful starters. When it comes to entree's I either recommend the classic chicken parm or chicken marsala. Both are solid plates that leave you full. I have never had their brick oven pizza's but friends who have dined with me enjoy them. This is another place to save room for dessert --- with the chocolate mousse and scoop of ice cream as great enders. read more
