We met some friends here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. We were able to get in right away as there were plenty of tables. This was all of our firsts times trying out Mama Louise's Italian Restaurant. All of the staff were very friendly and they came by often to serve and clear plates. We were very impressed with how quickly a lot of our food came out of the kitchen. The food is all very straight forward classic Italian, no-frills. Besides a salad, there was not a mention of any vegetable being served with all of the dishes. For starters we tried the fried zucchini, well breaded and cooked 6/10. The Italian egg rolls also caught our eye, small 2 egg rolls cut in half an order 6.5/10, a little under done. We also had an order of the deluxe garlic bread, flavorful and what you would expect 6/10. Each of the entrees came with soup and a salad. The salads were nice, lettuce splashed with a choice of Italian or Ranch. The salad was fine, 6/10. The soup I really did not care for, it was minestrone which I do not like and will not rate. For our entrees we had the chicken franchaise, with a lemon butter sauce 6/10. The fettuccine Alfredo that was served with it was delicious 8/10. We also had two different pizzas half meatball and cheese 5/10 and a mama's supreme half with no black olives 5/10. We were a little turned off that they use canned mushrooms instead of fresh, but lots of toppings. Th dessert course was the highlight of the meal. The limoncello cake was great, well balanced, not over powering 7/10. The tiramisu was the best thing I had 8.5/10. Our friends had the gelato which they said were very good and also the cannolis which I didn't try but also said they were "good, not too sweet." I appreciate locally owned restaurants and would love to come back here. In a world where lots of places our trying to distinguish themselves, mama Louise's is doing the exact opposite. They stand out as a place that reminds me of childhood and doing classic Italian dishes very well. We were very happy to come here, friendly staff and plenty of parking. It's worth your time if you are in the mood for some great pasta, chicken Parmesan or a homemade lasagna. There are two prices, one for cash and another for card. We were immediately impressed by the cozy dining room, which felt soothingly familiar, and by the attentive, clearly well-trained servers. It was a pleasant surprise when a light soup, traditional Italian salad, and garlic knots arrive before our entrées. In the mood for something familiar and well-loved, my dining companion and I chose the classics. I ordered the house-made spaghetti with meatballs, while she chose the lasagna. Although she found it slightly overcooked and not quite as saucy as she would have liked, she agreed that the flavor was spot-on. My spaghetti and meatballs were exactly what I wanted that evening, delivering on both texture and flavor. We indulged in dessert and were so very glad we did. The tiramisu and limoncello cake were worth every single calorie. Maybe stick with the pasta. I got a pizza the deluxe took it home and it hardly had toppings very bland and honestly the dough is horrible. As a former Aurora/Parker resident I was excited to take a work colleague here for dinner on a business trip. The food was good. I had the ChIcken Franchaise and it was just as I remembered. My colleague enjoyed his Eggplant Parm. Where things went off the rails is the service. In fairness, It was busy for a Tuesday evening. Because we were on a business trip we asked for separate checks for expense purposes. As well, we each had a glass of wine, which we could not expense. Therefore we asked for 3 separate bills. The server, whom i believe is an owner, was clearly not thrilled with the request. After processing the 3 transactions (which we paid the credit card fees for) he told us next time tell me when you sit down you need separate checks. He had zero table side manner. Very disappointed in his attitude and likely will go elsewhere on my business trips. UPDATE: I was contacted immediately by the restaurant. They have offered to make it right for my next visit. I must say this is exactly what I was hoping for with one of my favorite restaurants. I am changing my review to the highest stars. Give them a try! read more

This is a great place for date night or family time. It looks expensive until you realize that all meals include Soup and Salad. The food was fresh and the sauce had a great flavor we had the Chicken Parm and the Lasagna end ate every bite. The dining room was really nice and very comfortable. Service was amazing. I went and did a Take-Out of Lemon Chicken With Fettuccini Alfredo. It came with a salad, soup and garlic knots. The chicken was a nice sized portion as was the fettuccini. I just wish there was more of a Lemon Sauce to put on it. It was very delicious. I also ordered Fried Zucchini, which also was delicious. In addition, I got the Lemon Cake, which was very small for the price. Overall, the owner assisted me with my order and was very congenial and helpful. It didn't take long for my order to be ready. Wow! I had been wanting to try this place for so long, tonight was the night and Mama Louise did not disappoint! Amir was our server and he was delightful and attentive. Kent, the owner was present and involved, very nice. I ordered the homemade spaghetti and sausage and I've never tasted sauce so delicious, seriously the best I've ever had. I don't know how they make it taste so fresh and delicious without being acidic or too sweet, I will be craving it! The noodles were so fresh and light, not gummy at all. The garlic knots were soft and delicious, perfect flavor and texture. I had the Chianti Classico with my dinner, it was great. Had a fantastic meal at Mama Louise two weeks ago when me and my brothers and sister went to Denver for the Rolling Stones concert. The food was just as fantastic as it's ever been. Me and my late husband used to go to Mama Louise years ago when we lived in Denver. We lived in Thornton and would drive 40 miles just to eat at Mama Louise. My brothers had the Shrimp Alfredo and me and my sister split the Lasagna. The lasagna was a bit l spicy flavor which made it really unique. The red sauce was good not too tomatoey, just the right flavor. My two brothers were very happy with their meal as well I tried it and it was delicious creamy Alfredo sauce and the shrimp wasn't rubbery perfectly cooked. We had the tiramisu for dessert and it was fantastic! I stopped and talked to the owner Ken. He was always very kind to us and I told him I was really happy to be able to eat at Mama Louise after all these years. The ambiance is a very quaint Italian theme. The next time I have to be in Denver I will definitely be eating at Mama Louise. read more

This place was really tasty. I got the ravioli Florentino and my hubby got rigatoni with meat balls. We were both very pleased. The salad and soup and garlic knot that came with the meal was a great accompaniment. I was not a huge fan of the sauce my hubby got, but I also generally don't like marinara- so take that with a grain of salt. If you like a mild marinara (he does) you'll like the spaghetti sauce. We enjoyed our first dinner here, but I'm sad to say it will be the last, due to a (surprise to us) service fee. I recommend the house special, Chicken Franchaise, which is pretty much a piccata without the capers. The chicken breast is pounded, thin, quickly fried, so it's light and crispy. It's served with a Greenie Alfredo and two garlic knots. All the entrees are served with both soup (a nice size bowl of minestrone) and a side salad. My dining partner ordered the combination calzone - I swear it was almost as large as his head. Service was gracious, and I was impressed with the attentiveness of the several young bidders, who were quick to notice and bring beverage refills. The ambiance is relaxed, casual but not "sloppy casual." Parking is good. Too bad about the off-putting service charge. 4 stars read more

Service is amazing -- the servers were incredibly attentive and checked in at least 12 times throughout our meal. The ambiance is also on point, with the dim interior, comfy interior. Unfortunately, the food was incredibly mediocre. Everything we ordered lacked flavor and tasted the same. We ordered bruschetta, margarita pizza, the homemade spaghetti with sausage, and the stuffed shells with meatballs. As another review said, the bruschetta was definitely not authentic. It was shredded cheese over chopped tomatoes, with no balsamic vinegar. The margarita pizza tasted exactly the same as the bruschetta. There was no fresh basil (just dried basil) and the same diced tomatoes and shredded cheese as the bruschetta. The spaghetti was probably the worst thing we ordered. It was not as hot as it should've been, the sauce tasted like it was straight from a jar (not the good kind) and was not incorporated into the noodles, the sausage lacked flavor, and there was a puddle of tomato juice around the bare noodles when it was served. The homemade noodles were doughy. The picture that I attached to the review is after I mixed in the sauce. I didn't touch the stuffed shells because the spaghetti scared me off, but my dad and my brother said it was better than the spaghetti so there's that. The cheese looked nicely melted onto the shells as well. I will say, you get a good bang for your buck. Both the spaghetti and the stuffed shells came with minestrone soup, salad, and garlic knots. I've attached pictures of the food. Granted, they were already eaten into so they did look better when they were initially served. I honestly feel really bad writing this review because of how nice the staff is. However, if you are looking for some authentic Italian food, I would look elsewhere. read more

I had never eaten here as it's on the complete opposite side of town from me. I think it took me 40 minutes to driver there. Some friends invited me and really spoke highly of it. It was clearly a popular place with the locals as it was quite busy. The restaurant is very clean and the man who runs it, runs it like a machine. Even as busy as it was, everything happened on time and very smoothly. It was incredible to watch. Every entree comes with an amazing minestrone soup and salad. I had a cabaret Sauvignon that was amazing and matched my meal perfectly. I had the lobster ravioli and it was fantastic. But the eggplant parmigiana, the calzones, the Italian egg rolls, garlic knots, and don't forget their pizza, eat in or carry out...great either way. Their pizza crust is perfect. Beer and wine selections are good. I've eaten here many scores of times over two decades and the owner (Kent), who now knows me, runs a great little business in a great spot. Indoor and outdoor seating, nice ambiance, and very very attentive servers who have been consistent since I've first dined there. This was the very 1st restaurant I dined at after moving to Colorado. I've had just about everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. The speed of service can be surprising at times, they have tight processes which results in excellent and consistent food.
