I really liked the sweet walnuts , olives , wagyu sausage , pickled carrots , cauliflower , & the fig jam . 5/5 French onion soup $20 : I never really think to get a french onion soup but I was convinced that this was the best thing ever .. and guess what ?! It was !! This was probably the best french onion soup i've ever had . It was super rich , savory , and slightly sweet from the carmelized onions . It also had some delicious melted gruyère cheese that was oozing with the soup . The puff pastry on top was soo good . It was nice and comforting . 5/5 Prosciutto and Brie $30 : Dare I say this was probably one of the tastiest sandwiches ever ?! I can't believe prosciutto and brie can taste this good . The combination of garlic aioli , pickled shallots , red onions with farm greens mixed in the sandwich really brought out all the flavors. For appetizer we got the breadbasket that comes with homemade olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread was delicious, but I felt it was a huge portion of bread especially compared to the tiny containers of olive oil and balsamic. For entree we got the BLT sandwich which was divine. Very very flavorful and the bread was toasted to perfection. That was paired off with the homemade lemonade which was the perfect blend of tart and sweet. The two workers this day were polite and would walk outside to check on each guest ensuring that they were okay during their visit, which was a nice added touch. I was looking for a menu that had a charcuterie board option, but did not seem to see one, although I did notice a nice stack of boards behind the counter. They also have a small refrigerated area that has premade platters that you would find like in a grocery store that resembles a charcuterie board or a cheese platter.. but for the time that we were there checking it out for the first time, we enjoyed ourselves, our wine selection, our breadsticks, and just the overall great people that were there that day. This spot is in Modesto on Yosemite Ave, it's in an industrial area on a frontage road basically. When you walk in there's a lobby of sorts. To left is their offices, to the right is the shop. It's really spacious & nice inside. They've got big tables with olive oils all setup on each table, with different options to buy them in oz sizes & quantities too. What I found were large steel containers of different flavors of olive oils and vinegars. The names and flavor profiles are written on each container. You can sample. You'll need to ask the employees for assistance. But with only a limited number of employees working in the weekends, assistance goes sideways quickly. A bit of a free for all in getting assistance. Yup, and of course they did have jars of olives. And small gifts such as pinch bowls, kitchen towels, garlic plate grater, etc. Plus they had olive oil based body lotions, balms, and oils. I sampled the lotions. They rubbed in easily onto my skin. Went on with a nice thickness and texture and dried with a light luxuriousness. No overpowering smell.
