This is a cute place for wine tasting, fruit flavored wine slushy, olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Pick four wines for $10 tasting. Oils and vinegars are available for tastings upon request. My favorite oils were the rosemary garlic and red chili garlic oil. Very flavorful oils, highly recommend! Surprising to my tastebuds, recommended to me was the Merlot and that was what I walked out of the store with. Great service and I learned quite a bit from our sommelier! This place is family owned and operated. Open Friday to Sunday.

    Excellent vinegar collections.

Consumnes River Farm was one of several Rest Stops during the 2019 "Best Ride Ever" bike event sponsored by the San Joaquin Bike Coalition. This event ride was both for the 50k and 100k bike ride. Honestly, I would have never known Consumnes River was here so a HUGE thanks to SJ Bike Coalition! I met the owner Jackie Gifford and her husband during my rest stop. She provided tastings for her vinegar specialties, and I really enjoyed her Bellindora brand of vinegars especially the Honey & Ginger which I bought almost a case full. This was a treat for me as I love vinegar because of its beneficial natural health properties. I find a teaspoon of vinegar and a spoonful of honey daily keeps the bugs away. Consumnes River also has a fantastic outdoor patio where I was told by one of San Joaquin Bike Coalition volunteers, you can bring your picnic basket here, and enjoy the local grown wines from Consumnes. You can also RSVP for special events and have your parties catered privately. I will definitely come back and have to try out their home grown wines when I'm not cycling. Cheers!

    Enjoyed the Merlot!

Great little find close to home. Came because our friend Tressa was playing. Super friendly and attentive staff and really nice Merlot! A bit on the cold side today, but the outdoor fireplace was so inviting and toasty! Looking forward to coming back in the warmer months to hang out on their cute patio.

    Patio is perfect!

Love this place!!! Great service, tasty wines and wine slushees!!! When the weather is nice, I enjoy sitting in the outside patio area. Inside the tasting room they have olives, chips, crackers and other tasty snacks. Very organized and clean restrooms (always a plus). So worth the drive...if you haven't been yet make it a point to stop by, you won't regret it!

    Beautiful sunset over the vineyard

We had a reservation for a Harvest Host night. We arrived to live music, perfect weather and a very welcoming ambiance. A perfect way to spend an afternoon, the Merlot was our favorite.

We just held a surprise 30th birthday here for my daughter. It was a wonderful time. Perfect venue. The patio space was wonderful. The staff was so helpful. Absolutely beautiful day!

A giant checkers game and corn hole can be played on the patio

We found this little gem by chance as we were driving to the Consumnes River Preserve for a family hike. This is a small, quiet, family-friendly winery that is situated off the beaten path. They have homemade olive oil and vinegar tasting which the whole family can partake in. Outside there was a cornhole game and a giant checkers board for the kids to play with. The prices were reasonable and given that they make wine, olive-oil, and vinegar, all of it was surprisingly good. We will be back.

I'm from LA but have family in Sacramento, I saw on their website/ alongside google they were located in Lodi and that they were open. I decided to give them a call because of the long drive, the lady I spoke to said they had a private event the day I called and asked if I come over Monday or Tuesday which was really preferred for her. I agreed and went on Tuesday. When I arrived the place was very hard to locate. There is no sign or anything, it seems to be a private house. I called the number provided on their website and spoke to the lady again and she said they aren't open to the public and that they only accept cash and wanted me to leave it under the mat. Then why tell me to come Tuesday and that it was preferred to you?? She then said she would give me a call back to let me know if anyone else is there to help me. She never called me back, I gave her a few calls trying to reach her and it seems like she blocked me or is refusing to answer my calls Is that how you treat costumers? I normally don't write reviews but this was the worse experience I've had. I drove 45 mins plus for nothing and just to gain this experience. Do not tell your costumers to come on a day where you aren't even present and then GHOST them. You lost my business along side multiple family members and friends. I hope you fix this problem and fix your website so it doesn't give FALSE information to future costumers. Please fix yourselves and this problem.

You can sample their olive oils and balsamic vinegars before making your purchase, and the staff teach you about each vinegar and oil type. I've learned an abundance of cooking tips while sampling! What I also enjoy here is they have a variety of foods, skin and hair care products, sweet treats, and more, so it is a perfect business for buying goodies for yourself and to gift! The staff always check on you and make sure you are taken care of, as they answer your questions and give helpful recommendations. Yup, and of course they did have jars of olives. And small gifts such as pinch bowls, kitchen towels, garlic plate grater, etc. Plus they had olive oil based body lotions, balms, and oils. I sampled the lotions. They rubbed in easily onto my skin. Went on with a nice thickness and texture and dried with a light luxuriousness. No overpowering smell.

I initially booked an olive oil tasting but later discovered that it was more of an educational thing where you have to sit in a room. With a baby and a dog , I was hoping we can just enjoy that outdoors but they weren't able to accommodate. I hope sometime in the future they can change that . Instead of the olive oil tasting , I decided to have lunch outdoors. It was such a beautiful day and a tad windy . We started with some cocktails. Pomegranate Margarita : 5/5 it was the perfect blend of tangy , slightly sweet and the salt rim balanced all the flavors nicely. Also , it was pretty strong . Charcuterie $45 : Wow the presentation for this charcuterie was beautiful . Everything on the board was yummy and was a nice snack for grazing and enjoying it with the cocktail . I really liked the sweet walnuts , olives , wagyu sausage , pickled carrots , cauliflower , & the fig jam . 5/5 French onion soup $20 : I never really think to get a french onion soup but I was convinced that this was the best thing ever .. and guess what ?! It was !! This was probably the best french onion soup i've ever had . It was super rich , savory , and slightly sweet from the carmelized onions . It also had some delicious melted gruyère cheese that was oozing with the soup . The puff pastry on top was soo good . It was nice and comforting . 5/5 Prosciutto and Brie $30 : Dare I say this was probably one of the tastiest sandwiches ever ?! I can't believe prosciutto and brie can taste this good . The combination of garlic aioli , pickled shallots , red onions with farm greens mixed in the sandwich really brought out all the flavors. The only downside is for the portion idk if it justifies the price 4.5 /5 Ordered a special Pre fixe menu that came with farm salad with Quinoa + Olive oil icecream puff pastry dessert $30 + 10 salmon add on to salad . Salmon quinoa salad : This dish was super simple but the fish was cooked to perfection . It was super moist and the quinoa was fluffy and the salad was nicely dressed . 5/5 We had a great time and the food was fantastic. I'm really happy this place was dog friendly and family friendly. It's so hard finding places that accommodate both . Service was great . Luis did a good job on making sure we were taken care of . He was always checking in on us during our meal and was even whispering when the baby was napping . A+ service . Overall this place is a hidden gem . My critiques would be that the melted cheese from the French onion soup would solidify get stuck on the spoon and some of the larger Brussels sprouts on the salad were a bit tough. Pasta was a tad bit salty but still great. We had two scoops of gelato for dessert- olive oil with a hint of lemon zest and flakey salt and chocolate. Both were creamy delicious and not too rich.
