    Delicious! Albariño

A true gem tucked away beneath gorgeous Oak trees with vineyard views as far as the eye can see. Friendly smiles greet you as you arrive while the tunes of a local band play on the patio. A beautiful day to taste some delicious wines, vinegars and oils. Congratulations to the new owners Nick and Elena Panos. Your hospitality is always unmatched and I can't wait to see how much growth is on the horizon. CHEERS!

    Yum!

This is a cute place for wine tasting, fruit flavored wine slushy, olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Pick four wines for $10 tasting. Oils and vinegars are available for tastings upon request. My favorite oils were the rosemary garlic and red chili garlic oil. Very flavorful oils, highly recommend! Surprising to my tastebuds, recommended to me was the Merlot and that was what I walked out of the store with. Great service and I learned quite a bit from our sommelier! This place is family owned and operated. Open Friday to Sunday.

    Excellent vinegar collections.

Consumnes River Farm was one of several Rest Stops during the 2019 "Best Ride Ever" bike event sponsored by the San Joaquin Bike Coalition. This event ride was both for the 50k and 100k bike ride. Honestly, I would have never known Consumnes River was here so a HUGE thanks to SJ Bike Coalition! I met the owner Jackie Gifford and her husband during my rest stop. She provided tastings for her vinegar specialties, and I really enjoyed her Bellindora brand of vinegars especially the Honey & Ginger which I bought almost a case full. This was a treat for me as I love vinegar because of its beneficial natural health properties. I find a teaspoon of vinegar and a spoonful of honey daily keeps the bugs away. Consumnes River also has a fantastic outdoor patio where I was told by one of San Joaquin Bike Coalition volunteers, you can bring your picnic basket here, and enjoy the local grown wines from Consumnes. You can also RSVP for special events and have your parties catered privately. I will definitely come back and have to try out their home grown wines when I'm not cycling. Cheers!

    Enjoyed the Merlot!

Great little find close to home. Came because our friend Tressa was playing. Super friendly and attentive staff and really nice Merlot! A bit on the cold side today, but the outdoor fireplace was so inviting and toasty! Looking forward to coming back in the warmer months to hang out on their cute patio.

    Patio is perfect!

Love this place!!! Great service, tasty wines and wine slushees!!! When the weather is nice, I enjoy sitting in the outside patio area. Inside the tasting room they have olives, chips, crackers and other tasty snacks. Very organized and clean restrooms (always a plus). So worth the drive...if you haven't been yet make it a point to stop by, you won't regret it!

    Beautiful sunset over the vineyard

We had a reservation for a Harvest Host night. We arrived to live music, perfect weather and a very welcoming ambiance. A perfect way to spend an afternoon, the Merlot was our favorite.

We just held a surprise 30th birthday here for my daughter. It was a wonderful time. Perfect venue. The patio space was wonderful. The staff was so helpful. Absolutely beautiful day!

A giant checkers game and corn hole can be played on the patio

We found this little gem by chance as we were driving to the Consumnes River Preserve for a family hike. This is a small, quiet, family-friendly winery that is situated off the beaten path. They have homemade olive oil and vinegar tasting which the whole family can partake in. Outside there was a cornhole game and a giant checkers board for the kids to play with. The prices were reasonable and given that they make wine, olive-oil, and vinegar, all of it was surprisingly good. We will be back.

Nice glass of zin @ CRF tasting room

This place hit every weekend interest on our list. Good drinks, great food, and such. Good atmosphere. Even though we were on a date night, even with kids and families running around and enjoying themselves the energy was perfect. We enjoyed the live music, the beer and cocktails we enjoyed, the pizza was yummy, and we could relax enough to have great conversation without having to worry about someone around us causing chaos or acting out. The setup is nicely curated with options for drinks and food. Tables for sitting and dining or fire pits and lawn chairs for leisure. The space was clean and easy to navigate. Check-in was a breeze and no pressure. Overall very very good experience. This will be a place we come back to for future date nights or bring our kiddos with us for special events. It's family-friendly and comfortable without feeling overwhelmed with kids for those who are on a kid-free outing. Idk how they manage to have this balanced, but they do and it's great! We arrived around 1 PM on a Saturday, so we fully expected it to be busy. What we didn't expect was a parking lot with only about 10 spaces. You can't park along Highway 1, so if the lot is full, your only real option is finding a spot in the neighborhood or on one of the side streets behind the restaurant. There's no indoor seating, but they do have two separate outdoor seating areas. There's only one register for ordering, and the line was pretty long. It took us about 20 minutes to place our order. They give you your drinks and a buzzer, and then you find a table and wait for your food. We sat in the garden area, which we really liked, but after about 30 minutes I was starting to wonder if our buzzer was even working. Of course, right as I got up to go check on our order, it went off. It's a little difficult to rate the service because there really isn't much service. You place your order at the counter, get your own water and condiments, pick up your food when it's ready, bus your own table and throw away your trash. I also couldn't find silverware anywhere after picking up our food. They were still slammed, so I didn't bother trying to track someone down and we just ate with our hands. The good news is the food was excellent. We both loved what we ordered, and the fresh-cut French fries were especially good. The outdoor setting and garden area also have a really nice atmosphere. The biggest disappointment came when we went to clean up our table. The trash cans were completely overflowing with plates and garbage piled on top, and it looked like nobody had cleaned the area in quite a while. I actually had to push the trash down just to make room for ours. So overall, excellent food and a great outdoor setting, but between the parking, long wait, almost entirely self-service setup and overflowing trash, there's definitely room for improvement.
