I love Olive garden I have been there numerous times and every time I have went the food was wonderful One time and only one time did the cook have a disagreement with the waitress and put her tickets on a 30 minute wait .Which was not her fault it was his. Frustrated with our experience at this Olive Garden location. We had decided to go here as we wanted some thing light - soup and salad. It was around 4 o'clock, the restaurant was not very busy. We were seated promptly. we were seated for 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from the waitress (she continued to return to the table next to us) after an additional 10 minutes - 20 minutes of not being acknowledged, we got up and left and went elsewhere. We have been eating at this restaurant for about eight years now. Have always considered it "just above average". We ate here and I was shocked at the shrinkflation, it is just absurd and insulting! I usually eat the salmon dinner, but the amount of salmon you now get is absurd and is now "farm raised". This dinner used to also include "Italian Smashed Potatoes" but no longer does. The pitcher of Sangria wine has been decreased in size about 25 percent and is very weak. The salmon and broccoli was good, but over $21 for such a small meal and the sangria changes have made me come to the conclusion that we will be eating elsewhere whenever we are in Dothan. read more

I usually order curb side pickups and never had any serious issue except missing condiments once in a while and a couple times the extra bread sticks I ordered were missing. Since we live over 20 miles away it isn't worth the time to return for the missing items which I'm sure the restaurant would have gladly replaced. Eating inside is nice as the staff is attentive and we seldom wait longer than a couple of minutes for someone to answer our summons. The food is excellent and well cooked. The ambiance is find but a bit loud when packed with diners. This restaurant is our go to for family gatherings at the restaurant or home. So I do recommend Olive Garden to any who ask about a consistently nice place to dine. read more

While I typically love Olive Garden, this one always seems to leave something to be desired for. The service is typically rather slow and they're out of a few things. Today, I walked in to be disgusted by a cat in a carrier. I asked the hostess if they became pet friendly and she gave me a weird look, indicating that they are not. Then she said that they're not taught what things to ask to verify if it is a service animal or not. This is disgusting as it clearly is not. The ADA states that a service animal is a dog trained to do a task. There is not a way for a task to be completed by a cat in a carrier. I will say, I appreciate the care they put into the handling of potential allergens. As someone with a pork allergy, it is difficult to know that my food will be taken care of. I had a manager come to my table and discuss how they will handle my food in the kitchen, which made me extremely happy. read more

Wow, just don't know where to start and hate I had to write this! We tried, Olive Garden! Too too many times! This evening we came from a doctor's appointment and just wanted to eat. Olive Garden has been our go to restaurant in Dothan. Soup and salad usually for me, but I had not eaten today and really wanted some pasta. First problem I walked in with as I am recovering from a broken arm and total shoulder replacement. Y'all, having your GOOD hand out of commission for 4 weeks so far sucks! Finding out it has to be at least another month pretty much sucks it. But I went in with a smile on my face and tried to be nice. You should ask my husband how that's going, lol. Anyway, I asked for a shrimp dish wi th chicken instead of shrimp, and a pasta I could eat with the fork because I can't scoop and twist and stuff. I am lucky I can lift a fork to my mouth with my left hand. Sad but true. Anyway, I did the special order and was very very nice about it as I know it is a pain. It was brought out with spaghetti noodles. I can't eat spaghetti noodles because again-- the twisty motion ---I can't! I'm working with NOT my right hand, you know/? It took quite sometime for them to cook it with a special noodles and when it came out, I was well I can't say I was excited. I was really hungry!!!. I picked up the chicken and it burned the holy crud out of my tongue. I mean scorched!!!! As I sat there trying not to cry the manager came by. Ha. His reaction was ....wanting. I really don't want to go into it as I have not cried yet. By the time the waitress came by I was ready to leave the table. Y'all, I know that they can cook some chicken and it might be hot. The waitress was nice and she did the best she could. I ordered Tour of Italy. The food was cold when it came to the table. The salad was not the usual good salad. It was dry and not tasty at all. After sending our food back to the kitchen the waitress then tells us "we are out of bread rolls." This was the worst meal ever. read more

First, our server Brooke was great and tried to accommodate us. We ordered soup and salad as we always do. Our Pasta fazoli ( sp) was watery and tasteless! Brooke brought us more and it was no better. She said it varies with the cook. My husband got a second soup and still watery and lackluster! Olive Garden is one of my go-to chains in Dothan. Seems like most of the reviews on here are based on having bad service. I cannot recall a time I have had bad service at this Olive Garden. My favorite dishes are the Alfredo dishes. I have never found Alfredo from anywhere else that tastes like Olive Garden. I usually go with a salad over soup because I am not a soup eater. Olive Garden's desserts are impressive. Tonight, they had the chocolate lasagna back after taking it off the menu several years ago. The black-tie mousse cheesecake is also another one of my favorites. Ordered online and was guaranteed to be ready by 6:30. Arrived 5 minutes before promised time, followed directions to check in for curbside. At 6:35, I had to call to get status of my order. Lady quickly said "it will be out when it is ready". Ok then...so 6:20 was just a suggestion? A guesstimated time? Approximately, 6:40, employee slowly walks out to my car and handed me my order. Food was delicious as always! Even on a busy Sunday night at 7pm, my husband and I were seated promptly and almost immediately received our drinks! We ordered and received our soup and salad within minutes, and entrees not long after! Super impressive for how busy they were! Now the main part of this review is SPECIFICALLY for our precious server, Kay!! She was absolutely fantastic and made our date night incredible! She stayed on top of not only us but the rest of her tables as well. I cannot rave enough about how wonderful she was! We will most definitely be back to see her! Only thing I would even possibly make a "so so" comment about is that it seemed dimmer in the restaurant than I am used to, but that could just be my eyes going bad so we won't let that over shadow the delicious food and awesome service!! read more

We eat here a lot. I should have a lot more words to write but honestly it's just 5/5 on everything and they have some motto about 'where it's like your family' and that's pretty spot on. Regulars here feel like they own the place and anyways we just love it. My wife always gets the tiramasoo or whatever, I love the chocolate lasagna but control myself on that now. The young Africa American woman was very rude when seating us and sat us in the corner at a two person table where no other customers were. This was the most horrible "OG" experience ever. We visited this location for lunch. We were immediately greeted then seated. We waited about fifteen minutes for our server to show up. He then took our drink order and gave us a menu and when he returned he took our order. We asked for the peach bellini tea and we got regular unsweetened tea, he then brought us our soup, pasta fagioli which had all the ingredients but No Pastathe bread sticks were cold and hard. This location is the most frustrating place I've ever eaten. While we've had some good experiences, the majority have had issues. The biggest headache is how long it takes to get our food. Last night we went for an early Valentine's dinner with our 3 kids. It took over 10 minutes for our waitress to greet us. Then it took over 45 to get our meals while tables treat were sat after us had their food well before us. Additionally, she would come by and say "I'll be right back" then not return for 15+ minutes. I asked for a glass of water for our oldest daughter midway through dinner and she never brought it. After the meal she boxed our leftovers and said she'd be back with a bag but instead she sent another waitress with it. We understand things happen in the kitchen but at no point did she apologize for delays, she just kept saying it would be out soon. She didn't offer dessert. There's a waiter at the same location who is equally as bad. Hell disappear for long periods and it takes forever to get anything but at least he brings unrequested desserts. He apologizes for delays. However, I will be happy never eating at this location again. It's not worth the effort or blood pressure points. There's no reason it takes over 1.5 hours to eat here and the food isn't that amazing to entice me to wait that long again. With Fazoli's opening up right across the street, I'll get Italian there or make it at home. This Olive Garden has also never properly cooked any shrimp I've received. It's always half cooked. My review is not based on the food, as yes... it is an Olive garden... what more can you expect, and you cant judge individual ones when they all cook the same stuff. My review is for the service... the hostess was really rude, and we waited half an hour for a table for 4 when the restaurant was half empty... no one was bussing the tables. They really didnt look under staffed, so we werent too sure why. The waitress was very sweet and friendly, but wasnt at all attentive and kept forgetting what we wanted. The food took a very long time to come out of the kitchen because they had "a large party to accomodate"... but apart from them and us, the restaurant was pretty much empty! We were surprised and disappointed that the host would walk us passed so many available tables and booths to place us in the back of the restaurant, where the shift supervisor and staff were breaking and talking work so loudly.
