The staff is great The signage should be improved It's one thing to make things a bold color, but when you do that, you have to make the word dark enough so that you can read them. One shouldn't have to struggle to read the yellow section. It is over stylized, and it defeats the purpose of trying to make it look good when you can't read it. Secondly, if you have a menu accessible for people to read, then it could be doable, but you don't wanna have to ask for that because it seems ridiculous that you don't know what's on the menu. Thai curry was seasoned well and had smalll chicken bites but French bread hit the spot. I loved the ability to sample soups as I've never seen that before. I really debated a 2 or 3 on this one and wanted to love it so much! I LOVE soup!!! Like all year, just love it! And here's a restaurant that sells so many kinds - I was so excited. Once you walk up they even let you taste whatever soups you want! Again was so excited! Then there's the but. So most of the soups are cream based or thicker soups (I'm more of a fan of broth based). As I sampled I also noticed that the soups varied in temperature, some were lukewarm and others were hot. None of them really stood out to me, but I got the chicken pot pie and had them add broth from the chicken noodle. When I got it it was lukewarm at best and needed seasoning. The service was fast but they kinda seemed bored and like it was a bother to ask them for help. My bf also got soup and a sandwich which looked great, but he also thought they lacked flavor. Love the soups here and bread but the service was confusing. I thought it would be like chipotle that you order your food and see it being made than pay. It was my first time I ordered and the girl just stood there looking at me. Since opening a business close by, my husband and I have started frequenting Zoup at least once a week. The soups are always delicious, the bread is amazing and the service is wonderful! I tried Zoup for lunch with my sister a few weeks ago and while the food was ok, it certainly wasn't worth $14 for a half (tiny) sandwich and small cup of soup. I was literally shocked. I've not been back since. If everyone is shelling out $10-$20 for a soup and sandwich, I'm in the wrong business. Not going back while there are far more economical offerings around $6. The service in this place is questionable. I waited 25 minutes for my order. Had to remind the workers of my order. Many people who went after me received their food before me. I called up the restaurant to talk with a manager, he looked up my order told me I only waited 9 minutes, which was totally incorrect we got here at 12:50, ordered at 12:55, got food at 1:25. Someone clocked out our order early to make it seem like it was finished. Manager had me on hold to get my information. The employees are kind, but the soup is mediocre. I went for my first time today thinking a place called Zoup would actually have great soup. I ordered the tomato basil and lobster bisque. The tomato basil was ridiculously chunky and a bit spicy and the lobster bisque had a questionable after taste. I also bought a regular sized drink that looked like a kids size. I payed sixteen and change for two cups of soup and a drink. Cosi is just around the corner and has a way better tomato basil. I get a large and pay about 7 with tax. Their large is only a little less then the amount of soup I got at Zoup and for half the price. Maybe I'd go back and try a different option, but not the tomato basil or the lobster bisque for sure. read more

Solid choice for lunch. There are a wonderful variety of soups for every taste: seafood, Tex-Mex, Vegetable, chicken based, vegan. Most seem to select the combination platter which gives you a smaller salad or half a sandwich with yet more bread and an eight ounce portion of your choice of soup. The last time I had the lobster bisque with a Turkey and bacon toasted half of a Ciabatta sandwich. Everything was just perfect. Since the choices for sandwiches and salads are limited, this is not an every day destination. read more
