This is a small Italian restaurant with a big heart and even bigger flavors! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered the manicotti, no photos were taken because I devoured it. It came with two massive manicotti shells. The pasta itself had a buttery, melt-in-your mouth flavor, and the sauce was cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, so come hungry. Everyone in our party ordered something different, and everyone was happy with their choices. They also serve complimentary bread that was beautifully baked, crispy on the outside with heavy seasoning, soft in the center and paired with a pesto-styled dipping sauce. The overall service was okay. The people were nice but the food came so slow. Me and my friends waited around 40 minutes just for our food to come. I got the angel hair supremo and thought it was okay but my friends thought it tasted good. The Rigatoni was good and the Fettuccine was really good and tasty. The tables are really close together but the ambiance was nice. Small but cozy. Best Italian food we have ever had! What a cute spot, my husband and I loved the dining atmosphere. We wore comfy clothes there and did not feel out of place-- some dressed up, some dressed down. The service was wonderful, and it is a huge plus that is is family owned. The food was so yummy, we can't wait to come back and try more pasta that the menu offers. The star rating here is an incredible head scratcher. The food is marginal at best. I can only assume something has changed between all of those 5-star reviews and today. Hubby and I have a shared birthday weekend. Craving Italian, I said - Guiseppes, let's try it! To start - the sangria was super popular and highly recommended by other reviewers. It tasted of cheap red wine masked by a sweet fruit flavored syrup. Definitely not "sangria". Strike 1. Caesar salad - large enough to share, tasted as though the dressing was homemade. No croutons. Consists of romaine, cucumbers (odd) Parmesan cheese and dressing. 2.5 stars. Sausage di Sicilia - the pasta was over cooked to the point that when you pick it up with a fork the penne tore apart. Mushy pasta is never a great way to start your first bite. The meatballs were squishy, definitely premade frozen meatballs. Disappointing as we had heard they make their dishes from scratch. Strike 2. Carbonara is a cross between carbonara (it has ham not pancetta) and Alfredo. The creamy sauce was full of garlic. Very very creamy. Not your traditional carbonara and they say as much in the menu but this was just laden with cream, super heavy and lacked depth of flavor as all you can taste is cheese. Strike 3. The worst part of this disappointing culinary experience was what I saw after the meal. Glad it was after and not before, although we didn't eat much as over half of our entrees were left on the plate and refused boxes. The decor is abundant which is fine, but the thick layer of dust covering each and every picture frame, banjo hanging in the wall, grapevine leaf, etc made my stomach turn. Perhaps health dept requirements are only kitchen bound but someone really needs to do a deep clean here. It's like going into your grandmothers house who hasn't dusted since the 1990's. Definitely put a damper on our overall dismal experience and grossed me out enough to say we will neverbe back. I hate leaving low-star reviews on small businesses. I really do. Having been a Google guide for several years, I rely on the experiences of others to guide me. As such, I felt compelled to share this experience with others to help them make an informed decision before choosing to dine here. At least you'll know what to expect. read more

What's with all the five star ratings? My "chicken parm" was frozen processed chicken strips with no breading and served overly hot. Precooked overcooked noodles in a nasty soupy sweet sauce. My gluten intollerant wife was out with friends so I thought I would check out this restaurant again. I'd been there two years prior and it must not have been very good or I would have been back sooner. I read with interest Dana S complete review of December 2024 and thought she was being a bit harsh. That is until I received my Angel Hair pasta with meatballs and sausage. First of all let me say the bread and seasoned olive oil were delicious. I'm sure it's not baked there but it was very good. Then the entree came which was drenched in their sauce and the angel hair pasta was so over cooked it ended up being a gooey mess. If you know anything about Italian cooking you know to be careful about over cooking the pasta. Particularly the angel hair. The meatballls were most definitely NOT homemade. Think the frozen pack of 50 from Costco. Plus rather than a link of their sausage they choose to cut it into strips. Weird and not well seasoned. I'm sorry this was such an awful meal as they are close but BAD is BAD. read more

Every time I visit, this place grows on me. My friend and I met here at 3pm and it was nice to spend 2 hours without being rushed. Much appreciated. We had the Giuseppe's Special (shrimp only) and the Seafood Di Gamberoni. Lots of seafood and enough garlic in the sauce to keep Vampires away permanently. Entrees come with their seasoned bread and let them pour olive oil sauce on your plate to dip the bread in. Food is very good and plentiful; you won't go away hungry. Lots of parking in the lot. Food is excellent. This place continues to deliver great quality at prices everyone else forgot existed. While other restaurants keep raising prices and shrinking portions, these folks still serve a legit seafood plate for under $20 and it tastes great every time. As for the harsh reviews... I'm not sure if those folks just really love their fast food, but if that's more your style, no judgment -- just head there instead and free up a seat for the rest of us. I scheduled a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a family of 6. Plans ended up changing and I called to switch our reservation hours in advance of that day telling us "See you at 5:30." When we arrived, dressed up and ready to enjoy their amazing food, they didn't have the reservation anymore due to "not being able to take reservations for 6 people." A friend recommended this place so I took my son out for a mom/son date. It's a quaint little, unassuming place in a strip mall in Rosemount, but the food is fantastic!! If you are looking for 'made from scratch' pasta - this is your place. When we sat down, they brought us warm bread and oil dip. Yum!!! We finished it and They brought more. We ordered a house salad and fettuccine Alfredo to share. I also had a glass of sangria that was a little too sweet for me. The house salad was delicious. It was kind of like a caeser salad but with more veggies. I will absolutely get that again. The fettuccine was the best I'd ever had. Melt in your mouth delicious. Wow. The owners are very welcoming , the z'attar dip with olive oil served with fresh bread a nice start. Seating is tight, if there is a party of two- super tight. You're almost dining with the couple next to you. Its claustrophobic- Ask for the back room,There' is a fan but its not turning ‍a big man should not be seated in a small area. The server made a mistake at every turn, did not write down the correct entree being ordered, wrong beverage, wrong entree counts, missing salad, 4th plate brought almost 5 minutes after first 3 delivered. 3 of 4 entrees were barely ok, pasta mushy and over done and every sauce was goopy - all not worth going back for, but edible (?), 1 entree tasted sour, off and unpleasant. Second star is because the owner came out to ask how he could make it better, he was nice and authentic, but even remade the dish was too bitter to eat. Oh Italy how I have missed you. It's been 3 years since I took my last trip to Italy, but from the moment I bit into my food tonight in Giuseppe's I was taken right back there. Tucked in the shopping center off the main drag in Rosemont sits a gem of a restaurant that is sure to please even the most critical of Italian diners. This is true Italian cuisine at its finest. We started off with their homemade bread and oil. Followed by Mushroom Ravioli with a Bolognese sauce and my hubby had a Mediterranean Scampi featuring huge shrimp and a delicious pasta sauce. Neither of us could finish our meals as they gave us ample helpings and we were more than stuffed when we left. Pricing was more than reasonable and service was friendly and on point. Way too much pepper usage * food was on par with that of a cafeteria * plates, menus, table throw, drink menu were all old and needs updating * the place is very small and your chair will be up against the chair of a stranger behind you Overall I would never recommend to anyone which is a real bummer being this restaurant is in a great location and I love Italian restaurants. I've been to Guiseppes twice now. Both times have been fabulous. The ceasar salad was amazing! The crusty bread....scrumptious! My orders were to go...and were fresh and hot. I actually dont have enough words in my vocabulary to explain how my taste buds did a praise dance. The owner told me he made the best alfredo. I've been to Italy...and damn he was not kidding. The first time I went to the Rosemount location was with my mom, pre-COVID. I remember thinking that it was a little "off" as far as "Italian" goes, but will say their bread is fantastic. I had told my mom that I thought the staff was Middle Eastern, rather than Italian, which isn't a huge deal but if you're selling the whole Italian thing, you'd think they'd have SOMEONE Italian on their staff? I decided to go back, again with mom, today for lunch. It's been about 4 years since the last time. Same decor, shabby, same heavy, dirty curtains. No one was around to seat us. We had to call the restaurant from inside of the entrance to tell them that we were standing in the entrance waiting to be seated. We got seated by the same waiter that we had 4 years ago. He had a smile on his face, but I think he may have been irritated that we called to tell him we were waiting. He was pleasant and serving, but the service was EPICALLY slow. I don't know many people who eat lunch at a restaurant during the week that aren't on a lunch break unless you are clearly a retiree. Neither of us match that description. The second we got our entrees, I asked for the bill (something I hate doing), kindly explaining that we were on a lunch break and had to get back to work soon. My mom tried her red sauce pasta, and it tasted like curry... she liked it, but we both agreed, NOT Italian. He got us our bill and said, "get back to work, yalla". So, obviously, not Italian and indeed Middle Eastern. Nice enough, slower than a snail, though, and the food (besides the amazing bread) is not exactly "Italian." Pretty unremarkable - the best thing is the fresh bread with olive oil and their salad. I've been there maybe 6 times now, always for a large group (7-8 people). Service can be a little odd. It's a small space so if it's busy, I understand that it's hard to get to the other end of the table, so they pass food and drinks down the table. But last time there was no one around our table of 8, and they STILL passed stuff down instead of walking to the people seated nearest the wall. It's very weird. For large parties, food timing is all over the place - so the first person to get food may get their plate 5-10 minutes before the 7th/8th person in the party. I'm sure it's less noticeable with a small party. I also feel like the time it takes to order, get drinks, get refills, etc is slow. (My partner disagrees and think it's fine. I just have NOT been asked if I want another drink several times now - or only got asked is I wanted a second drink at the end of the meal when I'm really to get going.) Food is .... Underwhelming. I've tried something different each time, and nothing is that exceptional. Their sauces aren't much more flavorful than what you'd buy in stores. Meats, raviolis, etc. aren't anything to write home about. The decor is dated, and I always wonder how dusty some of the higher-up stuff must be. That being said, tables, dishes, silverware, etc are clean, and restrooms are clean, but it feels like a restaurant decor that was popular decades ago. It's not bad, it's just not that good. I only go because some people I know like to go there. (I guess their spaghetti and meatballs are really good - but at the end of the day, it's just spaghetti, the same red sauce I find pretty plain, and like a pound of cheese melted on top.)
