    a slice of pizza
    Brian C.

Have tried them 5-7 times over the years and always felt they were overpriced and unorganized. Today is the last straw. We paid over $60 for two large pizzas and a sandwich, one of the pizzas was supreme. The sandwich was good, the supreme pizza was blah, soggy crust and veggies were undercooked and way too many veggies. The meat was good but literally drowning in green peppers and onions. One of the onion pieces was huge...like who wants a 1.5 inch triangle piece of onion. With that said, for this price, Briano's is solid or carboni's is decent.

Mac n cheese pizza. Not enough noodles or toppings. Undercooked. Medium $15

Picked up a Mac n cheese pizza. Medium $15. Looks under cooked. But overall didn't have much for toppings. We expected a lot more noodles. Like a solid layer or so of noodles. There was like 2 - 3 penne noodles per slice with mostly some cheese and bacon it tasted like breakfast. Would be good with lots more penne noodles like a solid layer or so of them. And maybe add in green pepper? Maybe we should of gone to the St Paul location? Kinda wanted to also try the white pizza and the meat or veggie deep dish, but not sure now that this one fell short.

We decided to get a deep dish pizza for takeout. Ordering online was super easy. Pick up easy. We decided on a deep dish pepperoni. It was excellent. Cheesy, hot, lots of toppings, and great tasting crust. Great choice, especially for a hungry family in a house that is being remodeled and has little kitchen capabilities. Thanks for feeding us, Italian Pie Shoppe.

This is a margarita pizza? It's literally burned crust with canned crushed tomatoes on top. 1/10. Enough said. A picture says it all.

I ordered a margarita pizza and I got this lump of stewed canned tomatoes on a lane burned crust. This is the furthest thing from a margarita pizza. Hands down worst pizza I have ever had. I tossed it the garbage can. The birds don't deserve this travesty. Award winning pizza. That's a down right lie! MN people have no clue about pizza.

Margarita Pizza Minnesota style.. slap cold canned tomatoes and EYE TALIAN SEASONING ON IT AND INSULT A WHOLE NATIONALITY

I went into this establishment with super high hopes. When I see Minnesotans with italian ancestors make this food, it hurts my soul. i'm born italian , sicilian to be precise, raised in new jersey to a 5 star chef italian and african father. he owned 11 restaurants, pizzerias and delis. i was elated when i found a pizza place in mn with a real pizza oven!! not a conveyor belt! or fake brick oven. i was hopeful. when i walked in and seen the weird "chicago" style with no traditional hand tossed.. i was skeptical . i ordered a margarita pizza. simple.. tomatoes, basil, fresh mozzarella .. easy.. wait for it... cause there is no way any race, nationality, religious person or political view can disagree... this is not it... so disgustingly bold of them to try and sell this as anything but a soggy canned tomatoes soup on wet bread.. PLEASE TAKE YOUR "ITALIAN CARD" AND EMAIL IT BACK TO ME.. THANKS!

I didn't read the other reviews, but me and the hubs had a 5 star experience. Friendly staff and the chef even checked on us. We had a Chicago style deep dish, the only difference being a thin layer of crust on top of the cheese and pepperoni, then sauce. We went for a late lunch and got a half order of Italian Fries for an appetizer. I will be trying to re-create a low carb version at home!

I only got a pizza like sandwich here and boy was it good! and large. I had more than enough food for a decent price. This place reminds me of the pizza shop of my childhood with the dim lighting, wood chairs/stool and tables, and stained glass overhead lights. I only had a to-go order but my short interaction with the staff was a pleasant one. It seems as if they might have some good daily specials. And some of the signs on the walls/wall decor are funny. I think it might be a place to go back to...

We were greeted promptly and seated within just a couple of minutes of walking in. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and very pleasant. She explained the specials and was also happy to accommodate my request for gluten-free bread options, which I really appreciated. My husband ordered our drinks, and since it was happy hour, the bar drinks were offered at some great prices. For dinner, I ordered the Lemon Chicken with Roasted Veggies, while my husband chose the build-your-own baked pasta dish, loaded with plenty of vegetables. The only downside was our table location. We were seated right next to the kitchen door, and every time someone went in or out, the door made a pretty loud bang. It was distracting and a little irritating throughout the meal. Maybe a hydraulic door closer or hinge could help with that? When our food arrived, the portions were generous, everything was hot, and it all looked delicious. My lemon chicken was incredibly flavorful, and those roasted vegetables were absolutely the best! My husband's baked pasta was also packed with flavor, and he loved all the roasted vegetables he added to it. Aside from the noisy kitchen door, another great dinner and experience. We'll definitely be back!

Service was a bit slow, and we had several different waiters throughout dinner, which made things a little confusing at times when we needed assistance. Still, the food was enjoyable and we would likely return.

The wings- nicely cooked and the teriyaki had a little kick. Chicken parm - large serving and nice flavor. Pesto pasta- creamy and like the fettuccini meets pesto. The décor is elegant and inviting, and halfway through dinner the lights dimmed into what we jokingly called the "sexy dinner lights," making the atmosphere even more warm and cozy. One thing I really liked is that every entrée comes in multiple sizes, so you can order the portion that fits your appetite. I wish more restaurants offered that option! We started with the Parmesan Crusted Shrimp, and it was a great appetizer. The shrimp had a light, crispy Parmesan crust and came with two delicious dipping sauces. I ordered the Lasagna, and it was exactly what I was hoping for--rich, hearty, cheesy, and full of flavor. One entrée at the table was the Chicken Fettuccine, and we all laughed because none of us expected the pasta to be bright green! It turned out to be spinach fettuccine and ended up being a favorite. Another person ordered the Seafood Linguini De Mare. It wasn't their personal favorite, but that was simply a matter of taste rather than the quality of the dish. I had a Red Ruby Spritz mocktail, which was refreshing and beautifully presented. The others enjoyed their drinks as well. The portions were generous. Even though we were completely stuffed, we still couldn't pass up dessert! The Crème Brûlée was outstanding with a perfectly crisp caramelized sugar topping and silky custard. The Budino was incredibly rich, decadent, and one of the highlights of the night. The Salted Caramel Gelato was also enjoyed. Service was friendly, attentive, and never rushed. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere that made us want to linger. One funny tip: the bathrooms were spotless, but the toilets are surprisingly low! I almost sat down much faster than I expected. so be careful. Overall, Ciao Bella was a wonderful dining experience with delicious food, generous portions, beautiful décor, and a relaxing atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!
