Came here because I was in town to run an errand. The staff was pleasant and friendly, and service was quick. I went for the eggplant parmigiana (eggplant parmesan), which was two slices of eggplant breaded and friend served with mozzarella and parmesan with marinara. There was also spaghetti with marinara on the side. Service was friendly and prompt. As is usual with Olive Garden, there were plenty of tasty breadsticks, and the salad had generous portions that easily divided between two people, and even after my friend and I had eaten our fill of the salad, there was a bit more left so that I could have another serving. All told, tasty, delicious, and fast service. My one issue is that this was the one entrée whose caloric content didn't round up to 2000 calories. I suspect that portions could be a bit smaller. All told, it's Olive Garden, so you know what you're getting, and this particular location is quite good in terms of food and service. I even saw the manager walking out and popping by some tables to ask everyone how their food was. Solidly recommend. read more

I'm never got to try my food because it took over 2 hours to get and the only thing that was good was the sweet tea.

Service & expo was night and day compared to our last visit. We were seated upon entry. Alexander was simply amazing! 10/10. Very attentive! My one issue was with the salad - basically nonexistent with solely 90% toppings 10% lettuce. We asked for another round, we did get more lettuce in that one but ratio was off for sure. The bread was hot both rounds which has been uncommon in the past. We definitely enjoyed them. The table ordered Lasagna, Tour of Italy with shrimp, & Fettuccine Alfredo. Everything came out great. Hot & Flavorful. Next time you're there, ask for Alexander! Definitely a positive asset to the Olive Garden team! read more

I ordered chicken Alfredo pasta with breadsticks and a salad. By first presentation everything looked fine. I began eating and I just so happen to glance at my food and something doesn't look right. I'm not sure what type of bug this is. A roach or whatnot but I know it doesn't belong in my pasta. We arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday, it was crowded and we expected a 30 minute wait for 2 and a toddler. It was about a 15 minute wait only. Bri was out server and has a big personality. She instantly connected with my nieces 13 & 1. We began with the mozzarella sticks, salad and bread. That kept the baby distracted while she scrambled on her coloring paper. I had the chicken Alfredo and added broccoli for the toddler. My older niece had the grilled salmon with broccoli. It looked delicious and my niece confirmed that it was really good! My sissy pooh wanted Olive Garden. Neither of us had been in a while. When we got there, it was super busy and crowded due to it being Mother's Day. However, there was no wait as we opted to sit at the bar. Our ordering was simple. Sweet tea with no lemon for me. Peach bellini tea for sis. Both were sweet and delicious. We both ordered soup and salad and a calamari appetizer. The food was amazing. Zoupa Toscana is our favorite soup. It's the only one we order. It was so hot and delightful. I come to this location often when working in town, since I am normally alone I eat at the bar top. Bartenders here are top shelf, always provide great service and helpful when recommending suggestions. Ambience is laid back and casual. Food is standard to Olive Garden but I've never had a bad meal here. read more

Maurice, the Head Host was amazing! Our server, who ended up being the bartender too, left us feeling abandoned, and no wonder! We never knew her name. She was the bartender, and she was taking orders, delivering food. When she poured our drinks, the pitcher touched her glass. When she graded her cheese, cheese was left all over the table. When she put her plates down, they were kind of slammed down, but they were heavy. She was like "what do want", but it was because she was overworked. She dropped tons of Andes candies at our table, but she never asked if we wanted dessert. We had to flag her down, but we heard her ask the adjacent table. First I'd like to say that I rarely do reviews, but I felt really drawn to do this one. When we arrived we were told that they couldn't seat us because they were having shift change and it would be twenty minutes. We. Saw,, in clear view, at least four employees just chatting and doing nothing. A couple came in and there was no one at the. Counter so they asked another employee about being seated, they were told they could not help them but they could wait for the hostess. Another man came in and asked to be helped and was told to wait on the hostess, he left. So after waiting thirty minutes or so, we were seated. I took some pictures, tattered chairs and tables, junk under tables and just unclean. I will say that the food was good, a lot better than the last time I was there, two years ago. Management needs to spruce up the place and train employees. No one coming in wants to wait when seeing workers just chatting and doing nothing. Time is money! read more

I would like to tentatively edit my 1star from a few days ago. Both corporate and local management reached out about my review. They were sincere in their apologies and for this reason we will return for another try. My understanding is the server was spoken to about the experience and hopefully it's something she will improve upon. I never wish an employee to be let go based on a review, but again I wouldn't want someone to receive the treatment we did. Last time I got food to go here and the food was less than appetizing. . This time I dined in. The service was not good but the food was great. Typically at Olive Garden, the server asks how much cheese would you like with your salad. My server brought mine out with cheese without asking and I do not like my salad with cheese. She catered to all of her other tables, but it appeared since I dined alone she ignored me. I even waved to her and she asked me what I needed while she was across the room. I came to dine and relax not bring attention to myself and yell across the room. Even the hosts treated me different when they found out I was dining alone. The host said to the other host "put her over there". At this point, I already knew whoever they were putting me with was either new or a server that doesn't give great service and I was right. I dine alone frequently because I work from home and travel a lot. I usually have better service other places and tip accordingly. Every table and guest should receive the same service. read more

I recently went to this restaurant in Macon. Although most of the feedback I have been seeing was negative, I decided to give it a try anyway. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't have any issues with this visit at all. I wish I could remember my servers name because she was pleasant and attentive. The food was ok. Not the best and definitely not the worst. If you want fine Italian cuisine then go to Italy. Otherwise this was edible. If I had to complain about something it would be the small crowd of employees you run into as you are walking in the door. It seems like their convo stops and they look at you like they were talking about you before you walk in and get seated. Mid day Saturday, maybe 4 pm -- moderate crowd. Thank you Olive Garden for reminding me how truly awful a pesto sauce CAN be. If your pesto can't be fresh, don't do pesto. It tasted like shelf-stable dried basil oil and cheese(ish) sauce. Barely edible. Also, don't bother to slice the sausage in my cavatelli/pesto/italian sausage dish. The salad was just OK. Anybody who eaten out knows that you want your lettuce BITE SIZED. NO, you should not have to use a knife to cut your lettuce after it arrives for service. The bread sticks seemed OK. The service was adequate. I did have ask for a second glass of water. I did have to ask for pepper -- there was only one on the bar, that could when busy seat up to 10 or 12. However, she was pleasent to speak to and responsive to requests, and smiled. So, this Olive Garden garners a third star. read more
