Great steak & onion blossom! Every thing there is good. Service is good. Noisy is my only complaint

We stopped at the Texas Roadhouse for dinner in Yuma, AZ on our way home to San Diego. Out of all the Texas Roadhouse restaurants I've been to, this one had the friendliest and very attentive staff. Everyone was working together as a team helping each other out. Because it was Good Friday, I ordered the lemon pepper salmon and added a side of grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and corn. Everything was delicious especially, their homemade biscuits. It was a very busy restaurant but they got us in and out pretty fast. Check it out when in the area! Happy Yelping :) read more

(3/5) We decided to give Texas Roadhouse a try. The atmosphere is very energetic, with a lot of music playing over the sound of people talking. It's just not the type of environment I personally prefer because it was difficult to have a conversation at the table, but we decided to try it anyway. Our server was friendly, although it took a while before we were able to order our drinks and appetizer. We ordered the fried mozzarella as an appetizer, and it was hot, crispy, and very tasty. For our meal, I ordered a medium steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, while my husband had steak with green beans. The mashed potatoes were enjoyable and had a homemade texture with chunks of potato. Unfortunately, my steak was the biggest disappointment. I ordered it medium, expecting it to be juicy and pink in the center. After eating a couple of pieces, I realized it wasn't cooked the way I ordered it. When I cut into the middle, the steak was well done all the way through. It was dry and not what I expected. Our server brought the issue to management, but after waiting quite a while, we were initially told nothing could be done. We requested to speak with the manager, and after another wait, he came to our table. He offered to remake the steak, but we declined because we personally do not send food back to be remade. What was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled. The manager explained that unfortunately things like this happen often and that they had recently remade another customer's meal without an issue. However, that wasn't really the point. We understand mistakes happen in restaurants. The issue is that the food should have been prepared the way it was ordered the first time. Hearing that mistakes happen "all the time" was not reassuring as a customer. It made the situation feel more like something to accept rather than an opportunity to acknowledge the mistake and make it right. We didn't ask for any type of discount, but when he asked, we showed our military ID and he gave us a military discount since they do offer that. We didn't want to ask for anything else, but he also gave us another five or ten percent, which we appreciated. The fried mozzarella appetizer was good, our server was polite, and some parts of the meal were enjoyable. However, the overcooked steak and the way the concern was handled left us disappointed. Overall, I'd give this visit 3 out of 5 stars. Mistakes happen, but how a restaurant responds makes a lasting impression. That stuff didn't really mean anything to us, and I don't think we'll be coming back. read more

I had a gift certificate that I had purchased online and my hubby had a $100 gift card. The server would not let us use both. We never got an answer as to why not? It's money, is it not? We took my dad and stepmom to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate their birthdays, and we had such a great experience! Our server, Shar, was absolutely amazing! She was extremely attentive, friendly, and quick with everything we needed. She made sure we were taken care of throughout our entire meal and helped make their birthday celebration even more special. Had a nice lunch with good service today. New York steak was a little undercooked and lacked flavor but it wasn't bad. Dinner salad was delicious with lots of veggies and croutons. The best part of the meal! Bread served at every table with flavorful butter. Nice touch. read more

Prime rib here is always perfect! Kids sirloin was a delightful surprise for the kiddo! Chili as a side dish a tad too spicy for kiddo but it's always yummy! The salmon was not dry and was ample enough to take half home! It was so lonely on the plate tho... this happens when you order a salad and chili! Couldn't yall at least put a sprig of green or something on the plate for aesthetics? Remember we eat with our eyes too! knowing that a Friday Evening would be busy we arrived hungry at 4:15pm and were seated promptly! I shoulda stuck with the peanuts! Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the beginning. We were initially served small plates for our bread rolls that appeared unclean. Later, we found a small bone in the chili soup, which was concerning. For our main dishes, my daughter ordered her sirloin cooked medium, but it arrived rare. I ordered mine medium well, but it was served overcooked and closer to extra well done. Additionally, my baked potato was extremely dry and had a cardboard-like texture. I took my husband for his birthday dinner. After our meals had already been served, three family members arrived to join us. We were informed by our waitress that the restaurant has a new policy prohibiting additional guests from joining a table once the original order has been placed, so our family members were required to sit at a separate table. while we were disappointed by the policy what was even more disappointing was how the situation was handled. we asked to speak with the general manager/owner to better understand the policy. Instead of listening to our concern, he became defensive, spoke to us in a rude and dismissive tone, and essentially told us that if we didn't like the policy, we could leave the restaurant. He then walked away without attempting to resolve the situation. The restaurant was not busy, so the policy seemed unnecessary inflexible in this instance. I decided to have a family meal here for my birthday. This place is/was always packed, so I got online, joined the VIP club and got on the waitlist. Plus, I got a coupon for a free appetizer as well! We used the waitlist on a Friday around 3:30pm before the dinner and were seated in under 15 minutes. For appetizers we ordered The Cactus Blossom and The Combo Platter. The salads were good but left my Wife wanting, as in not the best tasting. The bread combo, like the appetizers were delish! We all ordered various dishes for our main courses which we enjoyed immensely and had plenty to take home; I will say the sides I ordered, the Steamed Vegetables were crisp/crunchy and the Green Beans with the bacon bits? Yes! And really hit the spot. Once I told them it was my birthday, not only did I a dish of French Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocalate, Drizzle, I also got "The Treatment." As in they bought out a portable saddle for me to sit on while they exclaimed to the whole dining area it was my birthday and how old I was (good thing I joked and said I was 21!). Very disappointed with this location. Service was terrible. I was at home when I joined the wait list- I checked in when I was at the restaurant. After that, I had been waiting for an hour outside, it was also very crowded. The hostess also had no clue what was going on, and therefore we had to wait another 30 minutes. It was also very hot outside and we weren't provided any drinks, also no seats provided. In conclusion, there is a lot of stuff that should be fixed to please your fellow costumers. read more

They have 20 minute chairs. 30 at most. The food is okay, but once my butt and lower back start to ache it's just not worth it. Even people I know who like the food just get it to go. The atmosphere is what it is. Either you like it or you don't. read more

Just came here a couple days ago and was VERY disappointed. I have been coming to this location everytime we travel from California and have never had an issue. We brought some friends down and it was their first time and they unfortunately won't be back because of the experience we had. 1. We sat down was greeted by our server Peyton, my friends and I are all over the age of 21.. we all wanted a drink and were told we could not be served because we had a California vertical license. Again, we go to this location ALL of the time and have NEVER been told this. We told her we've been served before and she refused. We went to the bar and got served our drinks... the bartender even laughed when we told her she wouldn't serve us. So that was that. 2. My sister in law had a coupon for a free appetizer and wanted to order the ribs, she looked and her and told her to read the terms and conditions, she told the server she did and the appetizers it doesn't include. Peyton (our server) then tells her about 2 more times to read the terms and conditions and she shows her it doesn't exclude the ribs. She puts the order in, but at this point all of us felt the tension. 3. My brother in law licked the rim of my sister in laws drink and not even a minute goes by and a manager comes to our table and says "did you just take a sip of this drink" he says "yes" and she then says "Your server (Peyton) said you do not have a valid ID" which was not true. He provided an ID and she said there was a miscommunication. At this point we're all extremely uncomfortable knowing that we are being watched and also talked about. 4. After this situation, Peyton came over and very rudely said "someone said you guys wanted drinks" we all said no. She then walks over to her computer area and starts talking to all of her coworkers. It was extremely uncomfortable having everyone stand there staring at us. 5. One of my other friends had asked for tabasco and about half way through our meal a different server (who was talking to Peyton prior) asked her if she's does using the tabasco because he needed it (i did not catch his name) he then proceeded to put the tabasco at the server station area and did not use it at all. Just felt sort of rude and unnecessary. As a younger crowd it is already hard going out to eat and receiving horrible service because apparently we "do not tip". Unfortunately in this situation we did not tip because the service was horrible. I have never experienced this before. Sad to say my friends first time here will be their last. I just hope you guys are able to educate you servers more about who you can and can't serve, also have THEM read the terms and conditions of the coupons you guys provide. read more

Food and service were great! Manager was a jerk! We were a group of 23 (yes I know big party). We were checked in at 5:30 and were told twice that our whole party had to be there, which we were. twenty minutes later we were told to go to the host. They take one of us back to show us the three booths we would be in and then the rest of the party started coming. The manager saw the rest of us and started yelling at us to go back to the front to count us individually to make sure we were all there. Again, very rude and wouldn't even let us get a word in. Took my aunt and the rest of my family to eat for her birthday and were amazed on how perfect the food was and service. The restaurant was spotless with the awesome aroma of bread and meat cooking on the grill. The hosts all greeted us with a smile and held open the doors for us. The last time we went it was a miss but today was an absolute hit. Our server who was Jonathan was a prime example of service making sure we had drinks refilled, bread restocked, and anything we needed. My aunt who is mostly a Spanish speaker appreciated Jonathan Speaking Spanish to her when taking her order. He also made sure we were taken care of with dessert for her birthday and an announcement. Really disappointing experience with my ribeye steak dinner. The steak had almost no flavor. It was completely under-seasoned and had no sear on it, like it had been placed on a very under-heated grill. It also had almost zero marbling and was very tendony. We were a group of 15, there to celebrate my wife's birthday -- a special occasion that was unfortunately soured by poor management and a lack of accommodation. Manager Jim refused to allow our party to sit together, despite other patrons offering to shift or combine tables to help make it possible. His demeanor was unprofessional and dismissive, and he showed no willingness to assist or make reasonable adjustments to enhance our experience. Karen and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary by going down to the Texas Roadhouse in Yuma for a steak dinner last night (December 18th, around 6PM). We've always had a decent steak there. I selected a 16 oz. rib-eye from their display window and ordered it 'Rare". Their temperature guide says that they cook "rare" steaks to a cold center temperature, which is the way I like it (i.e. very rare). I ordered a bowl of mushroom on the side, without onions. I should have known there was a potential problem when the steak arrived, as it had lost a LOT of its thickness, and then, when I dumped the mushrooms onto the steak, there were only about 4-5 mushrooms on top of a bowl filled with cooked onions! Anyway, the steak with the loaded baked potato and caesar salad tasted OK, but I should have paid more attention to how the steak had been cooked. It was nowhere near "rare" because the center of the thin steak was just the slightest bit pink - I would rate it a "medium-well" cooked steak!!! A bit of a disappointment, and the waitress was not the least interested or concerned when I mentioned it to her. I told her that I'd already eaten half the steak so did not expect a replacement, but wanted her to inform the cook, so that he/she was aware of the problem. She said, "Gotcha!" and ambled back to do something else at the register in the kitchen. We spotted who we thought the manager was, in a blue shirt with an ear piece, on the other side of the restaurant but he never came near our side of the restaurant, so we paid a smaller tip than normal, and left. Michael G is one of the best waiters I've ever had if I'm being completely honest. He definitely deserves a raise. If every waiter at Texas Roadhouse had the same welcoming attitude, I would probably be eating here much more often. It was a great time, but more the comfortable atmosphere Michael brought was the fact that he was looking out for us. I inquired about the ingredients of a product because I don't eat pork (I keep a biblical diet) and after checking to make sure it didn't have any pork in it, we went further and checked the rest of the products I ordered and let me know that the baked potatoes are actually covered in bacon grease before cooking. I am so happy to have a waiter go the extra mile for me, and because of this and the fact that we had a pleasant and welcoming vibe about him, I believe he deserves a raise! Texas Roadhouse is always a packed MESS, and you have to wait for over an hour to get in. If I didn't reserve online, it would have been a wait closer to 2 hours. I've been here 3 or 4 times to know. It's super loud like a cheesy sports bar, the food is OKAY but table service is great. The waitresses or waiters are great and accommodating. I ate a hamburger, which was tasty, and the bread was delicious with a cinnamon sugar butter, but was it worth the wait? I wouldn't come back here unless there is no wait time or unless I was mentally prepared to sit or stand around for over an hour to eat mediocre food. Or unless this was one of the few sit-down restaurants in the area. There are lots of families and this restaurant is generally in a suburban area but in every place I've been to one, it always has a long wait and there is a massive amount of ineptitude going on with people handling the seating. Or maybe there just isn't enough seating and the staff is overwhelmed because the restaurant is overbooked. I made a reservation online, and this is the EXACT text I received: "You're on the TXRH waitlist. Text HERE once ALL guests have arrived. Text REMOVE to leave the waitlist. Quote 35min-45min. Reply STOP to opt out." We arrive 40 minutes later, and I walk to the front to check in. I then get this text: "You've been successfully checked in! Please remain close to the building and keep your phone nearby. We will text you to bring your party inside shortly. -TXRH" I have to wait ANOTHER 45 minutes inside amongst families, couples, and other groups of people. Finally, I get a text saying something along the line of "You're moving up the list, gather your completed party and go straight to the host stand to be placed On Deck for one of the next open tables.-TXRH". 10 minutes later, I'm STILL waiting ON DECK, which is in front of the hosts, AND 3 or 4 other people helping her. 5 minutes after that, we are seated because our waitress had to wait for a line dance to finish. That's how the owners want it, though. Less availability equals more demand. OR you could always REMODEL and make these restaurants 2 stories and always have room for more people with a larger restaurant, but NO. Let's make families and people wait to eat mediocre food in an environment so loud that they can't hear each other. And let's drown it all out with the staff having to periodically line dance. Brilliant! I'm sure people will eventually get the idea that waiting for this food isn't worth it. read more

I've been to texas roadhouse in Yuma several times. It seems the quality and service has been falling. 3 of us were there, two ordered sirloin med rare. I ordered 12oz rib eye med rare. Also a cactus blossom onion. The onion was served and it was under cooked, raw batter in the center. We have not seen our server since taking the order. Another server notices one of us has a empty water glass and offers to bring more. Steaks are served looking great. Two are rare nearly blue! One is approaching med rare. I would guess brought to the table @ about 120 to 125 degrees. One sirloin was nearly to tough to eat. The 2nd sirloin was ok but still under cooked. My rib eye was so full of gristle and fat. 12oz and about 6 oz was left on the plate. No one was pleased with the dinner. We had the server show to collect the money his 3rd visit to the table. BTW it was not crowded so he had no excuse. Also my friend wife had a walker that was moved from table side to keep walkway clear. Her husband had to go looking for it because server left. Another server helped to locate the walker. Since I was a guest of my friends I did not complain, but the server never ask if the meal was good. Food was pretty good but took far to long for a restaurant that was not very busy (steak and salmon). It would be preferred to have a choice between the butter spread and optional real butter. While rolls were fresh and hot from the oven... A hot fresh roll does not mean a good roll. Dougy and clumps together in one's mouth. . Wait staff could not hear us over the VERY LOUD Music. We could barely talk to each other. This is supposed to be a restaurant not a country western night club. We have never been in a restaurant with music so loud. It was unhealthy. So much so that I rested the sound level and it came up with max115 average ovef 102. Over 70 is unhealthy. We ended up paclking up our food and taking it back to the hotel to teat. Wait staff indicated they were forbidden from touching sound equipment. So be it. This is the last time we go here or any Texas Rpuad House. read more
