Nothing is more comforting than unlimited chicken gnocchi soup, unlimited breadsticks, and unlimited salad with their delicious Italian dressing. There, I said it! I honestly only come for this combo, and please, keep it coming! If I'm feeling like treating myself, the warm Italian donuts are my go-to dessert, especially with that chocolate sauce. I went to Olive Garden today and I have to say, I was pretty upset with the service. Our server, Tawhnee, gave us time to look over the menu, but once she came back to take our order, I felt like we were being rushed to make our decisions. It felt like we couldn't take a moment to think without her waiting on us. I don't know if she thought I wasn't going to tip or what, but her attitude definitely made it feel that way. What also bothered me was how she treated the customers behind us. She was snippy with them, gave them the wrong drinks, and then told them to switch them instead of simply fixing the mistake. Mistakes happen, but the attitude and lack of patience made the whole situation uncomfortable to watch. Overall, I just wish the service had been more patient and welcoming. I don't think customers should feel rushed or uncomfortable while trying to enjoy their meal. read more

First time to this location Kapolei Olive Garden. Located @ Ka Makana Alii shopping mall . The Ala Moana location is much busier but the Kapolei Olive Garden is more laid back and more relaxed atmosphere. The service is on point and of course the food you can't go wrong with unlimited salad and bread sticks Yum. I ordered their Cheese Ravioli with cream sauce it was very filling and the Ravioli was home made you can taste the ricotta cheese . Olive Garden was alright. They were pretty busy, which is good, but we didn't have to wait to be seated or anything. Service was alright considering. The salad that day was kind of old, I had to pick out a lot of brown pieces, and it was soaked in dressing which almost made it inedible to me. You can't go wrong with the breads ticks, which are basic. My daughter loved her Fettuccine Alfredo which she added the Crispy Chicken instead of grilled, and she also added Broccoli. I ordered a new seasonal item, the Creamy Garlic Fettuccine. And it was good. The Tomatoes were sweet, and the Spinach was a nice addition to the pasta. The cream sauce was okay. Overall, it was a decent lunch. I had higher hopes but it may have just been a bad day. The place was clean and bright, so the ambiance was good. read more

Carb cravings... Since I was in the area I decided to give them a visit as it's been quite some time that I've been to Olive Garden and this Kamakana Alii location is nice as it's not totally part of the mall and with lots of free parking just steps away it was a nice and convenient to give them a visit. Walking in I was surprised to see how filled they were and though that there would be a long wait but to my surprise they also have outdoor seating which is actually better as it's not as noisy inside and it was rather more cooler and nice but I was seated right at the service door as it creaked with every swing it got quite annoying. Ordering food I decided with the create your own which was Rigatoni with Five Cheese Marinara and added broccoli which also comes with never ending soup or what I chose is salad along with breadsticks the salad was absolutely delicious as I do love the toppings but the breadsticks were meh no olive oil or balsamic vinegar it didn't do much for me and here's my pasta looking like it was made in a cafeteria blanched pasta topped with a scoop of sauce an topped with blanched broccoli...what a sad presentation it tasted okay nothing it wasn't even hot or spectacular and my server came to check on me once as she was busy but she was very nice and polite but just the very basic just like their food. I remember why I don't come here as often though I do love the decor and vibe the food needs much improvement...just come for the salad and chill out at the lanai. Thanks! read more

I love this location and come on a weekday because weekends are busy. I usually don't like waiting long if I am hungry. Wait isn't bad depending on when you come here. Pasta is delicious and drinks are good as well. My favorite drinks are the flavored teas. So good and refreshing. I like the spaghetti and the eggplant Parmesan. My two favorite items to order. Service is okay and waiters here are nice. Ambiance is very descent with the smell of pasta in the air. Definitely worth coming here if you enjoy pasta. Everything here is good even the appetizers. M spouse called a week prior and ordered a large amount of pasta (party trays) over the phone. At no point in time did the employee asked for payment at all. Fast forward on the day of pick up on June 6 not one employee said an order was placed for the name stated. I was very upset and frustrated that not all employees knew that the order had to be pre paid or paid in full for it to generate a guaranteed receipt. I had to wait for the order to cook, while all my guests at my daughter's birthday party stood by. I had placed my trust with Olive Garden Kapolei on my daughter's special day, which I should off conducted business elsewhere! She was not happy at all! In the end we had spent over $400.00 which felt wasn't even worth it with all that negative service. read more

We went to Olive Garden for the Never Ending Pasta Bowl after seeing it advertised on Hawaii News Now for $13.99 per person, which sounded like an amazing deal, especially in Hawaii. When we got there, it turned out to be $19.99 instead, but we decided to try it anyway since we had already driven out for it. I ordered the salad and rigatoni with the spicy three meat sauce. The salad was just as good as I remembered from when I first tried Olive Garden back in college: crisp, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The pasta, however, was a little strange. The sauce made my mouth feel tingly or slightly numb, almost like an "acidic" sensation, but not spicy. The service was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and really made the experience pleasant. The ambiance was cozy, smaller than most Olive Gardens I've been to, but still nice. Unfortunately, the pasta didn't sit well afterward. Both my partner and I had some stomach issues for the next day or two . Not sure if it was just an off day for the kitchen, but I'd probably try a different sauce next time if I ever go back again. read more

It's been a really long time since I've been to an Olive Garen. My son wanted to try so we stopped by here for lunch one day when we were in the area. I was pleasantly surprised at how good ever was! Not that it was ever disappointing, but for a chain sometimes you don't expect a whole lot. But the service was really impressive, the staff was really attentive and friendly. The food was also delicious and I forgot how big the portions were. Enjoy coming here once in a while but it seems like prices have gone up. I was sooo excited to come here when i saw the "Kids eat free". But the total was still over $100 for 2 adults. My partner and I were talking about the price & I just remembered paying under $100 for 2 entrees and 2 appetizers just last year ... It's a hit or miss with this place. Great place for a causal lunch at the mall. Inside was very loud at lunch time on a Saturday so we opted to sit outside, was amazing because we were the only ones out there! Sunny, breezy, no overwhelming noise, we had the best time talking and enjoying our lunch. Soup and salad was yummy and quick, no surprises there. I took my family visiting from Japan here since we were window shopping at Kamakana. We walked in, asked for a table of 4 and were told it would be about 10-15 minutes. We sat and looked through the menu while we waited. I appreciated that they had a QR code for the menu in Japanese. There were other parties that walked in after us, no reservation, with the same amount in their party, who got seated before us. We ended up waiting around 30-45 minutes. I would have left but my cousins were hungry so we decided to just wait. Once we were seated, we ordered and the food came out quickly. My cousins enjoyed their meals since they don't get to eat pasta often. I'm glad they got to enjoy the soups or salad with their meal as well. read more

We love the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp and Broccoli with extra Alfredo sauce. This is our go to dish at the Olive Garden. It's so good that it's difficult to impossible to order anything else. Get the unlimited dipping sauce / Alfredo sauce is a must for your dish and breadstick dipping. The food is always good and the service is friendly. Ask for the bar seating when busy, you could get lucky and skip the wait. The bartenders are very polite and friendly. On Monday, 07/13 at around 7:00 pm my adult son and I had a nice quiet dinner at the Kapolei location to celebrate his birthday. We were greeted pleasantly and seated immediately given a choice of inside or out being that the a/c was not working. We chose inside as it was a little windy. Dining room was a bit warm but not terrible. We were then greeted by our server Jenn. What a lovely team member she was. Cheerful, and gracious. Although some of the items we had wanted to order were out, Jenn expertly suggested substitutes that were pretty close to what we were craving. Amazed that we were seated right away on a Friday night. Food temperature was just right - Eggplant Parmesan was perfect, although the pasta that accompanied it was room temperature. Salad didn't have enough dressing. I normally enjoy Olive Garden and have had plenty of good meals here, so this review is specific to the lasagna. It was very disappointing. The dish was warm, but it did not taste freshly baked. There was no browned top, no crust, no crisp edges, and the overall texture felt flat and unappealing. On top of that, it had an odd aftertaste. I still like the restaurant, but I would definitely skip the lasagna. read more

Our server Valkyrie was outstanding. The restaurant always has a good atmosphere and is clean considering how many years it has been at Ka Makana Alii Mall. Came on a Saturday at 11 AM for lunch. Reading all the low ranked reviews, all have some unreasonable expectation. Either entitled or assuming Hawaii prices are the same as the mainland, all are a bit silly. read more

It's Olive Garden. It's like the McDonald's of Italian food so don't expect much out of it but it's not bad. The salads are still fantastic. Whatever they do to it.
