I had just sat down so I was surprised when the server asked if I was ready... lol but it's okay, I appreciate the fast service! I came here because broke da mouth was closed so I am looking forward to going somewhere new. I promised myself I would be more adventurous. My food came so fast just as I was writing this review. Hot food, fast service? That's already a win for me and I haven't eaten the food yet. I got the two selection combo. I was expecting a small portion of ramen due to the special price but it was a substantial amount. I was too full with the curry rice and chicken katsu that I couldn't fully enjoy my ramen so I asked for it to go. My bf and my friend got food poisoning here, they ordered the tonkatsu ramen and they both got sick. The service was mediocre, not very friendly and seemed very straight to the point not even professional but like she just hates her job. The place is empty and seems like it's always slow, but the food came out quite fast but wasn't hot hot, more like warmed up. Way cheaper than most ramen places but the quality is very poor and that is probably why. Better to spend a little bit money somewhere you can actually enjoy the food and service & they won't serve you old warmed up food where you get sick! read more

I love Daiichi, it's one of my favorite places to eat on island. I thought all Daiichi's would have consistent flavors but this spot was totally different. The broth for my usual Tan Tan Ramen was super oily. The broth tasted way more fatty and didn't have enough umami. The fried rice was super disappointing as it was super dry and didn't have the usual umami flavor. I was so disappointed but now I know to stick with my Pearl City location always. read more

Need some soup today Glad Daiichi reopened in Kapolei and the parking is so much better next to the old Kapolei movie theater. During the winters, I love getting the ramen combo with tonkatsu ramen, shrimp fried rice, fish katsu and an order of gyoza. My last visit here, I got there before 5pm on Saturday and I was able to get the happy hour free gyoza. It came with four pieces and I got them fried this time. Every time I've come, no matter what day of the week, service here is consistent; it's fast, the food is great and the staff members always kind and helpful. And so this place is a family favorite of ours. Some local places, even when they're newly opened, is just blah. Love the classic woodsy and current decor. Plenty of light coming in and so in the afternoons, the blinds have to be drawn. Always a satisfying and over-indulged experience at Daiichi. We will see you soon. read more

There was a mix up with my Chicken Katsu w Curry Plate, but the server only heard the Chicken Katsu part. The mix up was easily fixed. The food was not great. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner yesterday. They are pretty good with the food you try here. They're pretty consistent on the taste of food. I always go to the Pearl City location and they're good too. Service here was good and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The bowl.of udon noodles was filling and delicious. Soup tasted great. They give out free gyoza during happy hour which is after 2:30 pm. A major plus. We also ordered calamari which I forgot to picture here. Plenty of parking up front. Highly recommend. read more

Happy they opened a new Daiichi Ramen in Kapolei especially since the Ewa location closed a couple years ago. I'm no stranger to Daiichi so I'm very familiar with this restaurant. Daiichi Ramen tastes way better than their competition. It's located next to the Kapolei Consolidated Theaters right next to Broke Da Mouth Grindz which was closed tonight due to "extreme staffing shortages" so I discovered this new Daiichi Ramen location. Ordered the Gomuku Ramen today but my usual is Tan Tan Ramen. Tasted good as expected and the service was excellent. My server checked on me twice during my meal. They have 6 different condiments on the table along with a container of chopsticks. The prices are very reasonable and they have free gyoza between 2:30 - 5:00pm. They also have a grand opening special of 15% off your bill until 10/15/2023. Will definitely be back when I want to eat ramen. read more

This is by the Kapolei theaters, the older one. We came on a Saturday after noon a little after lunch around 230pm and it was empty...just how I like it lol the workers were nice to greet us and the place was really clean. The place was pretty spacious I must say. Our server took out orders and always filled our waters. You cannot beat ordering the combo meal. I got the mini ramen with black garlic which was additional. My sides were takoyaki and mini curry. I must say, the mini curry wasn't mini it was pretty regular size looking lol I couldn't finish most of it so we took it home and had it for dinner. Everything tasted great! I did however take down a star because we ordered gyoza but the server did not mention anything about getting free gyoza during their happy hour until we paid and got in our car and seen the window display.
